The Guardian is reporting that Trump has won Wisconsin, and is at 276 electoral votes. If this is accurate, then it's over. I'm hearing Fox reporting that the result is still unclear.

The only time I can think of an election being so disastrous that it actually shocked a country into being a better person... was... far FAR FAAAAAAR more disastrous then even I'd ever wish on someone even if I psychically knew it would lead to a better country.
I'm getting the impression you're thinking of Germany here.

I don't believe he will build a wall (because that is stupid... as soon as he gets the cost estimate he will back off) AND I believe banning Islam has the constitution in the way.
Trump isn't planning to "ban Islam". At first it was "ban immigration from muslim countries", which I think is actually possible due to precedence of temporarily banning immigration from I think China in the 1800s. Then he changed it to "temporary ban on immigration from muslim countries." Then "temporary ban and stricter screening and background checks." So it's not at all a policy of banning the practice of a religion, from what I can see.

Alright so Fox is reporting that Pennsylvania may not be going to Trump, there's still votes to count and it's still close. Basically reporting that on every close state. It may not be over.

Watching a stream of Fox waiting to cover Trump's victory speech. They're reporting that Podesta will be making a statement from the Clinton campaign, but Clinton will not be available to speak tonight. Podesta's on.

I didn't see what the problem is with LGBT and Trump, aside from Pence, I guess. I don't know much about Pence. I don't think Trump has said anything bad about trans, and Trump has said that he considered gay marriage an issue to be determined by states, not the federal government. Gay people concerned about marriage could move to a state where it's allowed, or get involved in their local/state politics to change state policies, right?
That reminds me of the two biggest reasons I didn't want Trump to get elected:  Pence and Christie.

Christie I don't think is going to have any involvement in national politics. I remember him being asked shortly after he endorsed Trump if he was hoping for a position in Trump's cabinet. He said he was going to retire after his current term ended. I don't know if that's changed.

Pence is only an issue if Trump becomes incapacitated and unable to serve as president. VP I don't think has much influence on policy decisions aside from working with the Senate. My knowledge of a VP's role is fuzzy.

Considering the currently presumptive VP has stated support for plans to reducing funding for HIV research in order to fund LGBT torture camps, it's entirely too bloody understandable.
What the hell, source? Never heard anything like this.

Well, here's to hoping this'll be interesting.  I remember thinking everything was going to go to shit when Dubya got reelected.  And, I mean, the world does seem like it's going to shit, but I think that's unrelated.
The world is always going to shit. Just do the best you can for your life and hope things don't get too bad in your lifetime. I'm quickly coming to this conclusion.

Trump has won Pennsylvania. First republican candidate since 1988, according to the Guardian.

It's pretty much over.

Where are you guys watching live updates on this?
Here's what I'm using.

On the other hand, Trump supports nuclear proliferation, which would turn a good few more countries nuclear, increasing the risk of nuclear war in South-East Asia by quite a lot.
True. Nuclear weapons are supposed to be a good deterrent though, supposedly. Maybe. What other countries besides North Korea could be batshit crazy enough to seriously consider launching nukes?

And there's always the eternal question of "Will the politician follow through on what they said during election season?" Maybe nukes will not be proliferated.

280
At least /k/ommandos will be happy, since they will have cheap Russian guns to use in incoming nuclear apocalypse.
Honestly I was thinking nuclear apocalypse would be more likely with Clinton, considering all her anti-Russia rhetoric and talking about implementing a no fly zone in Russia controlled Syria.

Trump now has a .8% lead in Pennsylvania jesus christ the lead just gets bigger and bigger. I can't believe PA even turned red.

Just ~150 precincts left to report in PA. The suspense is killing me.

282
Trump is continuing to gain ground in Pennsylvania. At .6% difference between him and Clinton now.

Jesus Christ. PA was blue I think since they first started reporting, with a good margin between Clinton and Trump. What a comeback.

lol guys, it's not the end of the country
I remember when Obama won in 08 and republicans were screaming about the end of the US. This will probably be the same. Probably.

283
Are the DNC and GOP not the ones who put forward their 'preferred' candidates for people to vote on in the primary?  that certainly is the way its worked my entire life.
Did we watch the same primaries? GOP the party seemed to absolutely hate Trump. The other candidates reportedly conspired together to try to stop Trump from reaching the required delegates count. Trump was not the "preferred" candidate at all, I don't think.

284
If Wisconsin and Michigan declare for Trump then it's over. Going by the margins at this point Wisconsin and Arizona are probably both gonna swing for Trump. That's 21, he needs 26 at this point. Alaska won't reach 26. He needs either Pennsylvania, Michigan, or both Alaska and New Hampshire to reach 270.

Where are you getting the results from OSG? You called Florida a while before ABC called it, and PBS hasn't called it for Wisconsin yet.

Not OSG, but I'm using this.

Trumps probably gonna win.

It would be a miracle if he lost right now.

Proof God doesn't exist as written if he wins.

God must be having a hell of a time right now. Imagine having to hear all the people on both sides of the political isle praying that their guy wins.
