This woman thinks I might be one of her gangstalkers. I can't confirm or deny, though I'm on a personal business here today. No gangstalking until I beat Titania.



Hades isn't going to be happy when he finds out his wife is hanging out with bums in a scrapyard. He's the kind of guy who pretends he doesn't care, but is actually deeply worried about her.



This is the guy who wrote Brave New World. He's apparently Europa's husband and isn't at all bothered by her past adventures with cattle. Well, that's behind her, isn't it? Aldous mentioned that Hades threatened to kill Persephone if she left the Underworld, so she ran away, and that there's a himbo with burning feet running around looking for her.



For some reason Aldous and Europa have a teleport pad to the Mirage Tower in their train car.



Scar? He was designed to be a Tumblr sexyman, but I'm a different kind of lady, one that is actually a man, and from my perspective he's just a loser. This game doesn't have many quality husbandos. Maybe Hardy?



Maybe he can stay here and never bother me anymore? I did more for him then I should have. I'd be happy to never see him again.



Bill, other than being the legend of the wild west, sells stuff. Interestingly, if you buy 10 pokeballs, he still gives you a premier ball.



Roost, a healing move for flying pokemon. Not going to be of much use. What also won't be of much use is the shortcut from the scrapyard proper to the trash town that I just unlocked. I just don't think I'll be visiting the scrapyard anymore.



Gigantic bookcases aren't something that appears in trains very often. Either this is one of few cases where it does appear, or someone put it here long after this train car ended up here.



That's highly unusual. I was in the desert, and now there's lush grass and flowers? Could it be the same as the oases in the desert? That has strange and unexpected implications.



Yeah, this is definitely not right. Even I can feel sorcery seeped into the soil and lingering in the air. Was it the ancients? Or maybe... no, that would be impossible.



I already had a Lilligant, but this one is legal and I can use her if I ever need her, which is unlikely but still.
I sorta know what I'll be up against before I get to fight Titania, so I better prepare accordingly. Back to the scrapyard!



Sunnydew is a refined lady, and proper ladies don't get into fights. She's simply in the bottom percentage of Lilligants, not suitable for battles at the point in the game when all opponents' pokemon have perfect IVs. She won't see much use.



This place seems infinite, but it's just looping. There's some sort of giant staircase without any support, no doubt created by the same magic as the entire place.



A castle in the sky! La puta or something like that. I bet this is the fairy gym. No, wait...



I like how Adrienn isn't in any way surprised that Titania was able to create a world just like that. What I learned is that she fights on the fairy tale field that is the ultimate fuck you to the player:
-the classic counter to steel types - fire attacks - become dragon type instead to lower the choice of viable pokemon. Dragon moves are twice as powerful, but are not very effective against Titania's pokemon, and the fire pokemon using them don't get STAB;
-steel attacks' power is boosted 1.5x, and deal double damage to dragons, meaning that they actually deal triple damage to dragons. You thought the Gible from the ruins would be useful? Think again;
-certain slashing attacks are steel type so Titania's Aegislash can get STAB to Sacred Sword;
-Stance Change, the signature ability of Aegislash, raises attack or defense on form change;
-King's Shield, the signature move of Aegislash, protects from non-damaging moves, and lowers not only attack, but also special attack of the opponent that attacks the user;
-the field can only be destroyed with Splintered Stormshard.



I can already tell that Titania's writing insists upon itself. You can already tell she'll be trying to tie it all up to her own life, making herself the victim of the cruel world while everything bad that happened to her (and also to Amaria and possibly Florina) was her own fault.



A true knight wouldn't fight a lady, would he? A common blackguard, that's what he is. Time for this princess to teach him a lesson.



Take off every zig! I've don it already. I had ended up fighting Adrienn on this field, but now it's not going to be to my advantage. I was lucky I was up against a fairy this time, so the bonus to Iron Tail came in handy.



If Titania has an Escavalier, I won't be able to use its only weakness against it, isn't that nice? And it will probably keep boosting itself with double Swords Dance. Wait a minute...



Hey, this ain't a steel type! We ended up throwing Earth Power at each other, but only one of us had a weakness to dirt moves.



The king couldn't do it, and neither could the queen. She tried to blast me with Blizzard, but missed, to nobody's surprise.



Well, he did save me a couple of trips to the pokeyman center with his healing and all. Wait, you're not Titania!



Of course that doesn't happen on the Zekrom route because Scar stays with Team Meteor. I don't believe Lin for a second here, because Scar really is a bitch.



Titania, you ensnared yourself, and you're neither innocent nor a child!



No knights, dragon, or evil ghosts can stop me! I need to protect Lin from Titania! She just doesn't know what she's getting into!



Underwhelming, Lance-a-lot. I expected something better from a fabled knight such as you.



How many more do I have to beat before I can face the wicked queen of this castle? I suppose Lin comes first though.



That bitch chloroformed me! I hate when that happens! At least she had the decency to carry me to this comfy bed. She even tucked me in; how thoughtful!



I can go up and down the tower, but it only ends up looping. The only way out is through the window. At least I don't have to break any windows this time around.



I actually shuddered as I saw this pink sky and vines. Titania was the second leader I had to cheat against. I more or less know what to do now, but I'm still afraid.



Dragon's den is probably Saphira's favorite field. It will become relevant faster than I'd like.



Don't worry, Scar, I believe you! You're too much of a pussy-ass bitch to do a stunt like this on purpose!



Believe me, Titania, even if I hadn't brought them along, one of them would come anyway. That's how it was on Zekrom route, and I guess that would happen on Zero route. But I do believe you. You're a despicable person, but I know you're well-meaning.



I'm smart enough to recognize that not every bad person is evil. Just look at me!



Bracelets get! Lin probably thought getting these would be as easy as getting here, but when I have these, it's actually even easier.



The name of this place doesn't bode well. But since it's a separate area...



I forgot to snap a screenshot, but Laurel is the Reborn-colored variant of Florges. I had an illegal Florges already. It's good to have a legit one too.



Titania, you are the dragon, not the princess! How many times do I have to repeat that before you realize! Also, I think this might be a lair of a dragon. Would you believe if I told you it's an elemental field rather than magical one?



That's my secret, I'm not wearing any metal. That makes me faster, and as everybody knows, this is what determines who wins the fight in real life.



That's Reshiram! Reshiram and I lubby chudder, so it's gonna go easy on me, right?



Hydro Vortex might seem to be a strange choice, but it's more about denying Reshiram the advantage rather than dealing damage. The dragon's den turned into a regular cave that offers no advantage to dragons other than Noiseferatu. No, I haven't brought him along for some reason.



Uh... I forgot that Reshiram's Turboblaze allows it to bypass enemy abilities. I'll be back!



First this. Laurel's pretty good. Florges has extremely high special defense, but it would still be good to have some IV in it. Her other stats are okay to great. It's actually a decent pokemon if kept away from physical attackers. Reshiram's Blue Flare would still cook her.



Round two! Noiseferatu's speed and drconic power allowed me to weaken Reshiram significantly, enough to stop worrying about destroying the field.



Thanks to the focus sash Microcline survived a critical Blue Flare. This is how much difference a good strategy can make.



I know where this is going. I don't like where this is going.



When I had the Ruby Ring I talked about certain principles a lot. The same principles extend to the Sapphire Bracelets. In this case I'm also not giving the trinkets to anyone for Amaria's sake.



So Lin was the dragon in this story. I suppose that makes sense, but what about the plot? There's still a few gyms to beat, and some PULSEs to take care of. This can't be the end!



Oh no, Scar! I never really liked you, but you're not Lin!



Aegislash could very easily rescue Titania and kill Lin right this very second, but it's not gonna. My pokemon would do that for me, so why won't hers?



You can't! I haven't got her badge yet! You can do whatever you want with her, but first the badge!



Mine wouldn't need my command to save my life. But the plot though...

Now I'll be facing Titania, and she has different weaknesses than Reshiram.



Titania's opening is unusual for a steel leader, but Framme isn't going to use any fancy strategies. Shucka berry is meant to weaken an Earthquake, should one happen. I don't know whether it will.



Magical seed is supposed to protect Lady Flayne as she uses the boosted Swords Dance in the first turn. While she doesn't have any moves that would be good for this fight, so she will depend on raw power alone.



Not having to deal with Reshiram's ability will allow Microcline to use her own bullshit ability again. Earthquake is a simplistic way to deal with danger, but it works every time. Unfortunately Explosion won't do me any good.



This might be a silly idea, but I intend to use Cheeks against Aegislash because of her great physical defense and beneficial type. The seed is supposed to give her an extra use of Earth Power.



Momo's secret is that she can ascend to godhood. Whether it's Mega Steelix or Mega Aggron, she will kick through the defenses with ease.



Finally my very own Aegislash. I don't know how, but I'll make this work.



Ya think? I believe he actually wanted to scarifice himself for Lin's sake. His track record tells us clearly that he was the most fanatical of Team Meteor grunts.



The knight faces the dragon knowing that destiny is about to unfold. Will the brave heroine return in glory, or will it be the end? I will fight for my happy ending!



Unfortunately the Sandslash had Slush Rush, meaning that its speed was unmatched. It used Aurora Veil that is an equivalent of both Reflect and Light Screen, except it can only be used in hail. Even so, quadruple weakness to fighting attacks still showed its ugly head.



Klefki is always a bastard. I thought Microcline's Earthquake would be useful for something, but it wasn't. That was a moment of panic that costed me a pokemon. Lady Flayne's boosted Iron Head was more effective.



Excadril and Lucario have similar speed, so obviously Framme had to be slower than Excadril. And there I was thinking I can just revive her and destroy everything.



That was one hit despite the fact I used an X Defense. Yeah, it was a crit after a Swords Dance, but still, jeez.



FUCK! This battle never happened.



This is actually the first encounter! Sandslash set up Aurora Veil FOR THE FIRST TIME. Framme instantly pulverized the thing despite the defense bonuses.



It went worse than in the previous attempt that didn't happen. Lady Flayne didn't kill Klefki instantly, and paralysis got her badly. Fortunately she's tough enough to survive a few Drain Kisses. Because that duel lasted a few turns, Aurora Veil has faded.



No surprises here. Supermedicham strength of Momo's mega form can't be ignored.



I'm gonna go and say that copying someone else's strategy isn't a dishonorable move. There's nothing more noble than learning from others.



So much for that.



Shadow Sneak can NOT be that strong, and the Aegislash can NOT be this fast!



First fight with Titania! Sandslash and Klefki went down in an expected manner.



Fuck your boosts! Maybe this time it won't destroy everything in one hit.



Yoko enters the fray! She took a solid Shadow Sneak to the face and wrecked Titania's sword. That's the power of an Excadrill!



I've abused some healing items to bring back Momo. This battle abuses me, so I don't feel any regerts.



Oh, Mega Scizor. I didn't expect that. It's asleep now, so please be quiet not to wake it up. Then it completely wrercked me.

Observation: this battle cannot be won. The field is tailored to give as much advantage to Titania's Aegislash as possible, suggesting that this battle isn't meant to end in the challenger victory, yet it must be won to progress.

Conclusion: bad game design; need special approach.

Solution: Cheat.



I know I have two of these, but I might need them later, judging from what I've already seen.



Yes, this seems more manageable.



Let's start again. Sandslash offered no surprises. It still set up Aurora Veil, and still died to Close Combat.



Klefki similarly gave me no trouble, and still paralyzed Lady Flayne dthanks to its annoying ability.



Momo softened Scizor enough to defeat him in the next turn, but then... she killed herself trying to kick. Framme had to rectify this mistake.



Despite the lowered level this bastard still managed to be extremely dangerous. Maybe that's because Excadrill is naturally squishy? That's probably it.



Then this happened. Momo might not have been in her mega form, but with this level difference that didn't matter all that much.



Flash Cannon! A great special steel move that would have been great for Framme if she was more special-oriented. Could Alexander learn this? I gotta check.



This is concerning. But frankly, I think this is Titania's fault. She didn't throw the corpse into magma. She did double tap, but sometimes you just need to be extra sure.



Lin knows that I'm actually weaker than Titania, and that I had to cheat to beat her. The bracelets aren't the safest they could be in my hands.



I'm not above backstabbing people I don't like. Guess who belongs to that group?



For the sake of Amaria I won't betray anyone, but if I have to, I also have an Aegislash and I'm not gonna deny Murasama his purpose.



Not gonna need that anymore.

Sure thing, Adrienn, I want to battle you too. That sounded weird; like some sort of bizarre confession. Adrienn is a friend, nothing more!

Between the updates I evolved all the neat illegal pokemon I've got, like Munchlax, Beldum or Treecko. Munchlax was annoying because it evolves through friendship, and it was already in its 60s level-wise.



Okay, I will become a champion. It's a big favor, but I can't allow Victoria to take this position. She would rename the league to "Kiki Memorial League". Could you believe this was actually Adrien's request? There is probably a catch to it.



Of course, that's not much of a surprise. The leaders still ahead of me are Adrienn, Amaria, Titania, Hardy, and Saphira. Three of these are tough, and I haven't even fought the Elite Four in the previous playthrough.



I refuse. I haven't prepared my team yet. I'm sure there's some work you have for me to do while I get ready.
Adrienn wants me to find some volounteers to be gym trainers. There are apparently fifteen available, but not everyone is fit for the job, so maybe two or three will end up getting hired. This is a small gym after all.



I've found all 15 volounteers, totally without looking at the guide! They ranged from bums to little kids, but your age and status doesn't reflect on your battling ability.



Wise glasses increase the power of special attacks by 10%, which is good for pokemon with strong special attacks of several different types. The ability capsule wasn't necessary because my Pickup team got me many of these. Star piece is money, which is always welcome.

Now, what do I know about Adrienn? The battle takes place on a Misty Terrain, which can be dispelled with any wind-based move. Fairy type moves are much stronger on this field, and Explosion doesn't work.
The format is double battle, I believe. I guess I had it too good for too long.
I'm not gonna complicate things - I'll simply use poison and steel pokemon with some extra backup.



Noiseferatu? A dragon in the fairy gym? It's more likely than you think. He is faster than Lombardi, and therefore it will be his role to blow away the mist. I don't remember Adrienn's team, but if I'm VERY lucky, one of the first pokemon will be Shiinotic, Whimsicott, or Ribombee. Noiseferatu's elemental seed will raise his special defense and activate Wish, which would increase his survivability, though I doubt it will help him.



Lady Flayne was made for this battle. I think. If there's a fire breathing fairy, then she might be screwed though. I count on her amazing attack stat and good defenses, and I also pray for Quick claw to work.



First a dragon, now a fighting pokemon? It's easy to overlook Lucario's steel type, seeing how its only metal parts are the spikes on its hands. Paws? Meteor Mash on Lucario in gen 7 can only be obtained in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon by breeding with Smeargle, and it's an extremely valuable move for a physical Lucario like Framme. Her Extreme Speed is good for finishing weakened enemies before they can retaliate.



Rouge the Crobat doesn't have big bat bazongas, but she does have speed and a good poison attack. If shove comes to poke, Rouge can spice things up with Super Fang which cuts the opponent's HP by half. Good thing to have when fighting tankier pokemon.



I'll be honest, the only reason I brought Cheeks along is Never-Ending Nightmare. Most fairies are special attackers, with some exceptions (Granbull, Azumarill, Mawile). I doubt that Adrienn would have a Gardevoir as an ace, because that was the case with Radomus. Mega Mawile seems like a likely candidate, and Cheeks can kinda counter it with Earth Power.



What's this, a new friend? Jinglebell is a support pokemon capable of raising Light Screens and setting up Spikes. Klefkis are feared for their ability that allows them to use non-damaging moves with higher priority, meaning that the Light Screen will be set up before the first attack touches any of my pokemon. Light Clay will make the Light Screen last longer.



To ascend to championship I need to beat the strongest of them all. Adrienn, prove you are one of them, give me a battle that will make me feel like a champion in making! Let's start!



Unfortunately underneat the mist was the fairy tale terrain. Fairies are still empowered, but so are some other types, notably steel. Since Granbull is physical in nature, the Light Screen didn't help Noiseferatu survive this encounter. Sadge, but that wasn't much of a surprise.



For great justice! Take off every zig! Steel is apparently heroic, probably because swords are made of steel. I can't complain, because that helped me remove a dangerous physical attacker that could easily bypass the Light Screen.



Hooray, Noiseferatu saved Framme! She was seriously hurt by Gardevoir's Focus Blast; on the brink of death, actually. Fairy tale field increases the effectiveness of Wish from 50% HP to 75%.



Mawile is yet another physical fairy. I guessed right that this would be Adrienn's mega. Now how to deal with it?



A very reborny Florges! Again with the keys motiff. Anyway, Mawile survived Cheeks' Z-move and destroyed Framme with a single move. Predictable, but not preventable.



Togekiss protected itself from Cross Poison using its berry. Mawile apparently isn't important enough to heal, according to Adrienn's strategy. It was blasted with Shadow Ball which was enough to bring it down. To be honest, I should have used Earth Power, but I was sort of panicking.



Turns out Lady Flayne really was made for this battle. She took down both Whimsicott and Togekiss with her Iron Head, and all they could do was to pathetically sparkle with Dazzling Gleam. I revived Framme, but there really was no point.



Yo, Adrienn can materialize boxes! Or one of the volounteers I brought here put this box here while I was busy fighting. Magic is all about distraction. I mean, the fake magic. The magic I do is very much real.



Dazzling Gleam is a strong fairy move, great for pokemon that can't learn Moonblast. Many non-fairies can learn it too, though unfortunately not Silvally.



Finally the station is repaired! It has a special meaning to me, as that's the place where I almost died for the first time. The desert is where Titania's gym is located. Even thinking about that fight fills me with dread.



This asshole has been sitting in the bushes the whole time! I couldn't get him earlier because the gardener was in the way, but now nothing stops me from kicking his ass.



GOD DAMNIT!



He might not be real, but he can get a real beatdown. Two pokemon? Really?



Spoiler: I can't catch him. He got away, but he couldn't have left the region, could he? I'll find him no matter what and get my super rare pokemon back!



Now I can actually change the city for better using my money rather than violence. I'm not rich if you look at my cash, but I've got valuable assets in my bag.



The affordable living project is the most important one, the way I see it. Turns out I had 100k in my pocket, and I just needed 60k. Poggers.



By paying for the project, I gained myself the VIP status. I can now enter the administrative area to bother Adrienn and Victoria.



I can also come to this place which has nothing in it. I just wanted to thank this machine for granting me the honor of meeting String Bean. I replaced String Bean with Snow Pea later, but I still appreciate him.



Nice place they've got here. We've got here, actually. I'd replace the tiles with something that doesn't resemble the zap panels from the Devon building. I should bring that up to Adrienn.



She's been working here for about two hours and she's already breaking. Her resolve is strong, but maybe she should think of herself more?



This doesn't look like a fitting job for Victoria. I could survive in an office on one Kong Strong energy drink from Lidl a day, and look how much coffee she drank in a few hours. At least she's not thinking about Kiki when she works. I'll bring her a Kong Strong when I come here next time.



I think this is Adrienn's office. Not much to see, other than the secret switch, of course.



This is a bed-room filled with Vulpixes that probably belonged to Ame. Or are they Adrienn's. This Lopunnite is mine now. Mega Lopunny is for striking super-hard and super-fast, which is usually enough for me. Having a Lopunny would be nice if I wanted to use this item. Two waifumon on team though?



This is why I was so into collecting starters. Pink Gordo is gonna have a lot of work on his hands. On his pseudopods.



The EV boosters can be used to max out EVs for one stat. These are useless to me because I've got power accessories that make EV training trivial.



This name really isn't familiar, but the fact that it's circled really makes me curious. I don't suppose I'll learn about this person soon.



Look at al these eggs! These are: Chikorita, Popplio, Tepig, Squirtle, and Cyndaquil. Time to deliver them!



The Vulpixes got out! I knew I shouldn't have left the secret door open! If anyone asks, I don't know about the bed-room, okay?



I personally count Wooloo. Is it me or is it snowing in this very room? This might have become a problem...



It's Snow Pea's child; remember to treat it with respect.

She doesn't seem to have strong opinions on Squoitles. For giving her three eggs, I received an item that lets me reset HP EVs to 0. This might be useful if I ever make mistake while training.



I remember when I terrorized this egg's father and chased it through the volcano. I don't feel like I was a hero in that situation.



Cyndaquils really are cute, but Typhlosion is not top tier; neither is it mid tier. Pretty much every fire type pokemon is more useful for some role or another. Typhlosion just doesn't really have anything special about it.



New batch is ready: Piplup, Chespin, Fennekin, Totodile, and Mudkip.



Chespin is the most inoffensive of all starters of Kalos. Fennekin, or at least its evolution its evolutions, is furry bait; Greninja is overhyped and kinda lame, and Ash Greninja is cringe by nature.
A second EV reset disc get! That means they can now accept six new trainers.



Piplup is okay, but I'd take Chimchar over it any day.



These icy caverns were annoying to explore and entirely too big. I'm glad I managed to find Totodile on my own, without a guide. This woman doesn't seem all that impressed.



When did we get so old? I appreciate the disc though.



You were my brother, Fennekin! I rescued its father from the sewers. Delphox belongs in the sewer.



It indeed is a Treecko. Again, not my first choice among the Hoenn starters. I have a soft spot for Blaziken, not so much for Sceptile.

That was a lotta eggs, yet there's so many more to get. I have to get the pokemon first, in most cases, and that's the bottleneck.



What's this place? Where's the slums? This is what I paid 60k spondooli for, and thanks to me many bums can live in relative comfort on minimum wage. There's a garden here, but it's not as bugged as the one in the park.



I'm sorry, but my parents taught me not to talk to hippies. But since it's a sidequest, there's probably a reward. I'm in.

Sandy? She's the woman who created a "streaming room" in her house by redirecting a river through the room. I think this might have been a big mistake.



I can't even think of the word "deforestation" without the wonderbread guy coming to mind. Sandy wants me to beat up some hard working men who dare to try to make a living. Fine, I'll do some evil.



Some guy found the CUM key in a newly built apartment. I suppose some builder must have dropped it. A builder who is also a sewage treatment engineer. Gotta find a side hustle to survive in this place.



Poggers, an application I needed to finish the job-finding sidequest. Let's give it to Maxwell!



I do care about glory a lot, actually. Glory and rewards. It just so happens that these two are best gained through heroism with a bit of crime mixed in, like giving jobs to former gang members. The job required two years of experience in social kind of work, which running a gang sort of is.



Oshawhat now? It's a great pokemon, though most people seems to hate the line because Samurott becomes quadrupedal. The same people hate Incineroar for standing on two legs.



This is nice.



Time to enter the CUM room! If I see a single jar, I'll go ballistic.



Yo, this jar contained Poison Jab! It's a great move that can make Chanel useful again. Curious that Skuntank doesn't learn that move by itself.

The CUM room contains a pipe system that needs to be assembled, but that's difficult because the paths are really narrow and it's easy to mess it up. Apparently the engineers in charge of this gave up and left it in this state. Does that mean this pipe system is completely useless? The water treatment plant works fine without it.



With the help of a guide I managed to complete the pipeline, and it turns out its role is... dispensing Goomies? It's probably useful for something. Maybe the Goomies eat sewage like copepods in New York water? At least Goomies don't make the water non-kosher.



I must have missed this one before. This TM is Wild Charge, which is Nala's move of choice. It's an electric version of Flare Blitz, a powerful move with significant recoil. It's worth for the power itself.



Coomy is a very good Goomy, although it is obvious that he shouldn't be focusing on physical attacks. He could have Sap Sipper instead of Gooey, but that's easy to change. By the way, he counts as the CUM room catch, and therefore is very much legal.
Goodra is great for taking special hits, not so much physical ones. Its attack stats are also pretty good, and it learns Draco meteor, dragon version of Overheat. Amaria's pokemon all have ice moves, that dragons don't really like. A Goodra might not be of much use then.

But now is not the time to think about that. I need to help Sandy commit some crimes.



We should be able to defeat them, but should we really? I would be all for leaving these men alone and getting more signatures for the petition. I've played Postal 2, I know how to get effects.



I'm not gonna lie, this was a very difficult fight last time, mostly because Sandy is utterly useless. Right now her Pelipper tried to use Hydro Pump to an expected effect - missing.



The Farfetch'd's high level is supposed to make up for its weakness. Shame Sandy's pokemon don't have that.



Framme needed to be a distraction for Scizor because she had already worn herself out with that Close Combat. I usually use special Lucarios that have Aura Sphere and don't have to worry about lowering their own stats.



The brown Scyther looks way better than a slightly different green one that the real pokemon games try to pass as a shiny. Didn't help it with Hurricane. And of course Sandy's frog was instantly obliterated by Farfetch'd Leaf Blade.



Hawlucha was being protected by its telluric seed. In absence of other options I blasted Farfetch'd with compressed air, which ducks tend to dislike.



Ludicolo actually managed to defeat Hawlucha with a single hit! It was a critical Scald boosted by rain. It would have been INFINITELY better if it hit Heracross instead, because Thunderbolt would have handled the bird anyway, and now Gatorade is dead.



That wasn't all that bad. Sandy wasn't all that useless either, or at least her Ludicolo wasn't.



So that's where the third lumberjack disappeared! He snitched on us!

Adrienn: You've been on our radar for quite some time. You're on the no-fly list and some other ones.



I don't have anything to do with that. I'm only here to cause mayhem and get money. As far as I'm concerned, they can continue the deforestation, and while they're at it they can build a Wonderbread factory where we stand.

Adrienn: MIss Sandy, I've read your petitions. They've all landed in the shredder. The "deforestation", as you called it, is nothing more than removal of unnatural growth generated by the PULSE incident in this area. The construction projects all around the city require a large amount of lumber, and I'm actually glad we don't have to resort to destroying the natural environment for wood.



I suppose not getting arrested is as well as it could be in this case. But that was too easy to count as a quest completion at this point. In that case, what's next?



Sandy is worried that the chlorine they use in the water filtration process might be used for mind control, and believes that her filter can solve the issue. Haven't been in the sewers for a long time, have I?



I'm sure it will be this simple. When did anything even go wrong?



At least we'll do some good by removing these, even if what we were supposed to be doing was terrorism.



These little turds have Pain Split and Destiny bond so they can cheese like none other. Still, despite being colored like the PULSE, they are still only Gulpins.

That's better. Hardy won't like seeing me use Hydro Vortex. I wish I could say the same about Titania and Amaria. Well, the best reward is not having to take part in Sandy's schemes anymore.

Mulch delivered! Venusaurite get! Mega Venusaur is powerful, but most importantly sturdy, with Thick Fat ability nullifies two out of four weaknesses. There's a single problem - I don't have a legal Venusaur. He also gave me an insect plate which is whatever.



With most of the city issues resolved, I'm going to take to the sea. There are many strong trainers swimming in the lake, and possible good pokemon. Let's go!



Huh? A secret dive spot? I didn't know about this, really. Let's see what's in here, I guess.



I have a reason to believe I'm trespassing in the lighthouse. Not my first rodeo, but the city is now a place of order where my questionable acts cannot be excused. Let's look around quickly before the popo shows up.



What a thrill...



Well, this is the main thing in this place. There was also a jolly mint and a big nugget, but the key is what really piqued my interest. It might get me something nice.



Turns out the key was for the other lighthouse. Why would there be two lighthouses? Who knows. Also, why are there entrances from below? So many question, so few answers. Time to get my prize.



Huntail and Gorebyss are trying to eat a poor Popplio! This is nature, I should let this happen. I won't because I want to get that sea lion for myself.
Framme might not be the best for this battle because non-water physical attacks are weakened underwater. Ingrid should be good. Ingrid? I forgot to introduce the new team members!



Who would have known Forb would save the day once more? Huntail and Gorebyss were more dangerous than I thought, but they were nothing compared to a Ludicolo's defensive typing.



Decent haul, I'd say. Popplio isn't my favorite pokemon by far; in fact, it's one of my least favorite, considering the design of its evolutions, but it's free. The TM is Giga Impact, physical version of Hyper Beam. It's cool, but not very practical.



There's a serious problem with Primarina, one shared with a lot of gen 7 pokemon - it's painfully slow. That combined with its low HP and defense makes it less than viable unless you know your opponent won't be using physical attacks. Brisket himself has a horrible nature and bad IVs. Nah, not using him.



Speaking of new pokemon, I'll introduce new team members. Ingrid is a knightly fairy with amazing psychic capabilities. I was lacking good fairies, with Mustard and Hotaru being rather underwhelming. Ingrid's psychic type gives her STAB for Psychic, but also makes her more vulnerable to dark and bug moves.



A regular shiny Electivire is nearly indistinguishable from a regular one. Gatorade has a sleek black-and-blue coloration that greatly improves his value. He's powerful both physically and specially, has good IVs, and great type coverage. I picked him for my future battle against Amaria.



Rouge the Crobat is a speedy poison pokemon that's meant to strike fear in Adrienn's heart. Threebird can fly, but doesn't have any type coverage; Rouge is somewhat better in this area.



I find speedo more comfortable, but it feels really awkward for some reason. I'm glad I don't have to think about this dillema often because I don't ever go near water.
Surf is extremely dangerous on water, but so is Thunderbolt.



Surf is simply too brutal. I think it gets two bonuses from the field, not one. Of course it's the opponents who get the most of it.



Azurine Lake here I come! Let's catch a water pokeyman while I'm here!



Can you feel it? It was my super rod catch.



I can feel it! In fact, I'm really feeling it! This is an amazing crab, even despite its back asswards nature. Kingler's attack and defense are phenomenal at the cost of everything else. Eugene's attack and defense are nearly perfect. It's got Guillotine which allows for some good but risky cheesing, although it might not be the best use of a Kingler.



I'm not having fun because you fuckers have Surf and elemental seeds on everything! The trainers in this area are brutal, I'm not kidding.



Yeah, this bastard's lackey was supposed to be here. The last one before I can tackle the real deal.



There really wasn't much to this fight. Compared to the swimmers here, this dude sucked major ass. He told me that the real Corin-Rouge is where trainers fight. That would be a gym. A gym with flower and mist. That's Coral Ward gym! Adrienn happens not to be there at the moment! I have a reason to believe I need to defeat Adrienn first before the thief shows up.



Hey, I managed to reach the Azurine Island without a boat! Too bad there's nothing more in here right now. There are stuff I need to done first before coming here becomes worthwile.



There is this one "event" pokemon that I've missed earlier. It's nothing special, just a Foongus, but later it becomes an Amogus.



Alomomola fulfiled its role as a healer by serving as dinner for Forb. Well, at least this battle wasn't all that hard.



I've reached Apophyll Academy. Surprising that it still stands so long after Kiki's death. Seems like Victoria didn't take my advice to sell the school to Blackrock or some other shadowy megacorporation. Speaking of, I wonder if Victoria is in? But alas, she wasn't in.



Oh, I think I'm gonna be doing the bruisin'. Notice how this guy's Tentacruel polluted the water after I worked so hard to cleanse it. He was also a dirty cheater with elemental seeds.



I hate battles on water. It's a fair field, but the trainers are unreasonably cheap.



It's night, and it's way too windy for swimming. Lady, take your meds because you're out of touch with reality.



Another asswipe with the same opinions and, curiously, the same line as one of the previous ones. He wasn't tough despite using elemental seeds. Were these battles meant to be as hard as possible?



I think I've dealt with the majority, if not all, of the trainers, so it's time to go underwater. There's some sort of sunken resort here, and most of the houses are locked. Maybe there's a key somewhere? Maybe I'll even find Randall's key?



So there are keys to the locked buildings here after all.



S9? That ain't Fairview! There must be other diving spots with similar sunken houses. I'll finish exploring this hole, and then I'll go looking for more.



Well, I've found the S-place. I've got a blue flute from the previous area, just so you know.



Light Screen. Good especially in double battles. It's mostly available to more defensive pokemon, but it's better utilized by faster ones. Klefki might not be the fastest pokemon, but it receives priority to status moves. I don't have a Klefki, but there's always a possibility.



Glalitite, in case I ever wanted a sub-par mega pokemon. It's irrelevant if I want it though, because I don't have a Glalie.

That's Power-Up Punch, a move that deals damage and increases attack. At this point pokemon are bound to have better moves than this.



I went back to Coral Ward for a while and checked inside... this place. Spoink is missing its pearl, which is not good. It will have to suffer some more though, because the sidequest it's a part of is long-ish and annoying.



There's not much of this hell left. This is really tiresome, but some people can't take the hint and challenge me to grueling battles anyway.



At the very least she didn't use elemental seeds and had enough decency to have pokemon that were easy to defeat with Forb.



There was a sick Mudkip in a cupboard in one of the houses. I cured it with antidote and told it that I liek Mudkipz. It came with me without struggle, which should happen more often.



Glitter ball is just a regular pokeball cobered in glitter. A pokemon caught in it will be covered in glitter head to toe, and I'll be able to pass it as a shiny. Nifty.



I seem to remember promising to find a ring in the lake. Who woulda thought I would actually find something as small in a body of water as huge as this.



This is for Altaria, not something I have. The guide I'm using My intuition tells me there should have been something else here, and I also should have found Rest and Leech Life. I do have Rest from somewhere else though. The guide My gut has outdated info, it seems.



I've found a cave of some sort and it's cold as balls.



I think I killed King Pyukermuker's royal guardsman... guardswoman? Guardscucumber. It was a wild pokemon and counted as my catch for this cave. I didn't want this guy anyway, and I have one in the Holding Facility.



King Pyukermuker used the Toxic stalling technique with Recover. Even after a few X Attacks, Belladonna couldn't do enough damage. Nala set up Electric Terrain and blasted the cucumber with Wild Charge.



It's Brutal Swing, a pretty mid attack that hits everyone in battle, including the ally. It would have been okay if it was strong, but it's not.

Now I need to freeze this place. I don't have any ice moves on me, let alone strong ones. Time to go back to the pokeymans center, yay.



Peeh is up for the job. He might not be the best user of Blizzard, but what matters is that he can use it at all.



Peeh actually managed to freeze all the water! I never doubted him except all the time I did.



Audino if it was worth it. I wouldn't use Mega Audino even if I had one, because I actually have a choice between Mega Gardevoir, Mega Pidgeot, and Mega Medicham.



Mega Beedrill is the ultimate glass cannon - dishes out a lot of damage FAST, but also dies to a single physical attack instantly. I don't have a Beedrill. Not having certain pokemon is becoming a recurring theme.

Now I fully believe I can stop sailing the seven seas and never come back. There's a metaphor for software piracy somewhere in here. 



Uh, okay? The lady gave me some classified information on tanks for the lost ring. She was about to sell it to some Warthunder player who would publish them and demand the devs to buff his favorite tank. Now I'm holding illegal papers and don't know what to do with them.



I just wandered into a house in Peridot Ward, like every decent JRPG protagonist would do! Is that illegal now?



Oh shit, FBI! I knew they would get me one day, but I didn't expect it to be for something lame like tank schematics! Wait a minute... These guys are Interpol! It's all about some silly European tank?



Ah, a fellow frog enjoyer! Rather unfortunate that he had to meet me when I had my Crobat at hand. Sucker Punch can be annoying though.



A jump and a spectacular StoutLanding! Despite not being a fighting pokemon, Belladonna seems happy to fill that role. Or maybe she just likes violence.



Oh, that certainly wasn't nice! Power herb allowed Arcanine to blast Solarbeam without charging, and Bismarck just happened to miss in a pathetic way. Aqua Tail is NOT a good move, no matter what anyone says! I'm teaching him Waterfall.



Here's my jolly vegetable! She's a TMX slave, but with just how good water TMXs are, she's one of my better pokemon.



Knock Off was supposed to be a weak, gimmicky move! Why did they buff it to 65 base power in gen 6? That explains why everything seems to have this move and kills my pokemon with it. It just doesn't feel right.



It's just a coincidence that his real name is Giuseppe Looker.



Yeah, I definitely never attacked an orphanage, participated in illegal pokemon trade, raided an old woman's house, dealt drugs... I'm as pure as they get!



Looker just happened to find the pearl while searching for the tank papers. Maybe I could sell it for a small fortune, or maybe I could do a good deed. Oh, and that item is just a mind plate.



Another item traded. It's this kind of sidequest. I might need to train up a bit before I do the next part. Looker's lad was nothing compared to what I'm about to face next.



Well, I won't be needing full heals anytime soon. Is this a bug? Because it feels like a bug.



Holy crap, shiny Vivillon looks sick! Has this dark aura that ghost Kiki's Medicham had. And Spooky Ghost too, I guess. It's gonna get the Ice Fang regardless.



Pal, I just wanna deliver this here crystal ball. I've spent the whole day training hard, so trying to stop me now might not be a good idea.



Don't bee fooled by the UI, this is actually a 6v8 battle. This is somehow perfectly legal btw. It hasn't escaped my notice that the horrible fashion of these two alludes to the four gems. The trinkets really are deeply rooted in Reborn culture, aren't they?



I brought Bismarck out specifically because it's raining. His phenomenal speed in rain allowed me to defeat the biggest threat on the battlefield in one turn without losing anyone. Unfortunately Bismarck got hit with Sucker Punch and paralyzed by Static.



I trained with Bijou and Calico. They are the real heroes of Reborn, I'm telling you.



Absol absolutely had to be removed because it effectively negated Bismarck's speed advantage. Don't worry, Noiseferatu is all well. I had to switch him out because I knew that Slowking would try to hit him with an ice attack. Well, it Scalded Bismarck instead, which is annoying because he can't hit hard now.



No ape remains unfungled! It seems Maddie is out of options, throwing a fire type at a Floatzel in the rain.



Don't mind the cursor. This battle is really easy if you just spam Full Restores. Previously I didn't have this possibility; now I'm a god.



Oh no, I've lost two pokemon, what shall I do? Well, I plan to win the battle, that's what. One of the ace trainers is out, so now the battle will be pretty one sided.



What a dream team! Gatorade weakens the target, Ingrid goes for the kill. The fact that they could just gang up on single pokemon somewhat lessens the impact of their victory.



Is that even legal? I mean, I'm a hardened criminal, but also a honorary member of the police force. You two are under arrest! And then they bailed.



Huh, interesting. It's probably not a field I'll be fighting on very often. Apparently fairy psychic and dark pokemon benefit from that one the most. Doom Desire, Jirachi's signature move, has its power increased four times, and Cosmic Power allows the dreaded Clefable to buff itself twice as effectively.
There was also a yellow flute in this room. Nifty little thing that removes confusion.



Better than being stuck in the past, I suppose. She could be like me, playing a gen 7 pokemon fangame with gen 3 graphics instead of finishing a sparkling gen 9 game. Okay, Pokemon Scarlet is far from sparkling, but I should finish it one day.



The R key? Finally I'll be able to type normally without having to copy and paste the letter R! Hmm... wasn't someone looking for a key?



Klefki didn't do much for Randall, at least when it comes to finding his house key, so what if it's equally useless to me in a fight? What am I saying, Klefki is a devastating force of nature.



Jinglebell is a solid Klefki. Attack stats don't matter all that much for a pokemon that mostly uses status moves, and in this case neither does speed. Her defensive stats are decent, even if not phenomenal. She could be helpful against Adrienn, but as far as I know, Adrienn prefers single battles. Hey, what's this sanctum key?



The sanctum is in the temple of Arceus, the place where El tried to shave Luna. Dark material is used in some event, that's all I know. There were some EXP candies too, but nothing interesting.



Time for another lengthy sidequest. Santiago swears a lot, but I can tell he's a good person deep inside. VERY deep inside. Like an opposite of me who's extremely evil but doesn't show that on the outside.



See? No bad person would ever admit to loving Jigglypuffs. I, for one, don't like them all that much. Unfortunately Santiago is afraid that loving Jigglypuffs would make his boys ridicule him. I should find someone who would hold on to the bootleg Kirby for a while until Santiago finishes his business here.



How sad that we have to fight. It's a forbidden friendship; we need to pretend to be enemies, but one day we will end up together. As friends.



The Azumarill knew Belly Drum and Aqua Jet, a combination that could wreck all my pokemon easily. Azumaril tends to have Pure Power which turns a wimpy creature into a homicidal monster.



Sylveon had no such tricks. Lady Flayne took it down in one hit after easily tanking its Hyper Voice.



Lopunny's Bounce successfuly prevented me from using Momo's High Jump Kick against it. It ended in a waifu fight that Ingrid won.



I've had one and evolved it into Exploud. I don't need another one even for the pokedex. Just take it back, okay? I paid in shards just to give it back.



If it's sleep you want then do I have the thing for you, lady!



Maybe that was a mistake? At the very least she took the Loudred back. Now she demands earplugs, headphones or something like this as ransom. Next stop: Apophyll Academy!



That might be something worth remembering... Anyway, she's the owner of the Makuhita Hariyama that helped me get Pink Gordo out of his cage. The problem? She won't take the pokemon until I get DJ Arc Welder's autograph. Does nobody have any respect for pokemon in this day and age?



At least this guy is cooperative. He's the one who gave me this sidequest, so I would hope that would be the case.



Hariyama is now where it's supposed to be. She didn't even thank me for evolving it. I do deserve a reward, and I think I know what it should be.



There's some other jabroni even more famous that DJ Arc de Triomphe, a guy named McKrezzy. Apparently he's on vacation, and should currently be in Spinel Town.



Ain't that a kick in the balls. Explains why his autographs are in such high demand - because there's no supply. But I do need one, and I'm willing to resort to violence. Maybe I won't have to though, because he's the owner of the Roggenrolla Gigalith.



He thought I was doing it from the goodness of my heart, but I have no such thing. Autograph or no rock, my dude.



I still love my violence very much though.



No matter what haters say, I love Incineroar. And no, I'm not a furry. Darkest Lariat was not enough to stop Bismarck's conquest, and the bara Garfield got wet in a brutal manner.




It was a slaughter.



It was a completely optional fight. The reward was a TM for Hyper Beam. It's a cool move, but it would be much cooler if it wasn't normal type. It relies on raw power, but leaves the user vulnerable for the next turn.



I hope these ones are as good as she said. I didn't work too hard for the autographs, but she doesn't need to know.



Maybe I should actually give them back? Whatever, as long as Jigglypuff is safe. Unfortunately nobody can guarantee my safety during the next stages of this quest.

So I'm dealing with one of these complicated situations. Again. The Onyx Ward is my next destination. I hope I'm ready...



They wouldn't leave a little child unguarded, would they? That means a double battle is in order, and that's never a good thing.



Thrash is always risky since once it gets going I have no way to stop it. I didn't even have the guarantee that it hits Muk. Of course Bismarck hit first because it's still raining.



One sly switch and Bismarck is still alive. Noiseferatu can deal with some whipping from the dominatrix pokemon.



A turn with no damage and two dead opponents is a good turn. Best turn, even.



The licky boi wasn't a lucky boi. One kick in the gut and it's over. Mudsdale, on the other hand, is tough and heard to kill. It used Rock Slide which left Noiseferatu in a bad shape. I'm not in a position to lose pokemon right now.



No more horsing around. Zangoose thought it could finish off Noiseferatu with Quick Attack, but my dragon survived, even if barely. Then this audacious critter got what it deserved - a kick in the ribs. I wish that was Fern.



Turns out Eustace has been behind his own kidnapping the whole time. He wanted his uncle's money for himself so he could buy a PS5. Little does he know that PS5 has no games. He doesn't appreciate being rescued, unsurprisingly. Tough luck, because I need to give him his Vanillish.

5V5 battle, completely fair if you don't take levels into consideration. Eustace must have at least 14 badges. He couldn't have challenged Noel and Charlotte, so he had to had fought Titania and Amaria already. Hardy and Saphira can't access their gyms right now, as you probably know.



Electric types have only one weakness - ground. I don't have any ground moves, so ice is the next best thing. Manectric got frozen and Screeched on, because otherwise Gatorade wouldn't have been able to do this.



No-sell. Even when barely holding on to his life, Noiseferatu one-shot the mutant gecko.



Yeah, Sharpedo is the exemplary glass cannon, but if it can survive the first turn, it gets Speed Boost. Bismarck could still outspeed after a turn, but couldn't beat it in one hit. Then it started using Aqua Jet despite boosted speed. It destroyed itself with the item it held, which I suspect was a life orb.



The weather is on my side. The first Waterfall flinched Scizor. In the second turn the bug used Bulet Punch, but even despite priority it failed to do much.



The battle of minds ended with the knight's victory. Ingrid's Moonblast lowered Alakazam's special attack after it increased it with Charge Beam. No more boosting on my watch!



That's my secret, kid - I'm not an adult! Nobody expects a teenage girl to foil their plans. I mean, they should, because in the pokemon universe it happens surprisingly often.



No, I never asked for it. Be a bad person and you'll go further in life. You were on the right track, but lacked subtlety.
Anyway, it looks like all the stolen pokemon have been returned to their rightful owners. Time to get the big reward!



That's it, baby! My power has risen unbelievably now, although I don't have any mega stones to evolve my pokemon. However...



I'm glad I don't have to do Fortnite dances to execute these moves. Never-Ending Nightmare is probably my favorite Z-move, mainly because I used it with my Gengar in Pokemon Sun. That game had some problems, but somehow it built some good memories. It just felt good.

What do I do next? Maybe I'll check for some more event pokemon.



That was in the railnet. I'm glad I didn't restore it, because I would have missed it, I think. The city will be safer withaut this Aron chewing on the railnet support beams. I could Headbutt the beam infinitely, and there would still be Arons falling. This might be a bigger problem than I thought. I need to tell Adrienn about this.

By the way, I have four holding facilities now.

Lapras can be only be caught on Fridays, so that's not happening; Skuntank I don't really need; I could get a Salandit now, but it will be easier when I have Rock Climb. What I'm gonna get now is Munchlax.



This isn't Munchlax, not even close! It is necessary for the aquisition of said fatass pokemon. Let's fly to Calcenon City!



A freshly caught, almost wild Qwilfish for a purebred Munchlax from a good home. Seems fair.

Next is something very important, a gift from an old friend enemy.



Corey in the House left this thing unattended, so I'll use the ring I stole from his house to snatch it. It's kind of like adoption. There was also a grass memory for Alexander. I'd prefer steel or poison for the upcoming gym.

The next event is more than a bit fiddly. I need to get a data chip from 7th Street first.



Aya's house in the Wasteland. The mom is trying to turn on a busted healing machine, but I came around to brick it completely. I just wanted to help but...



...it started teleporting pokemon from God knows where. Am I supposed to clean up after myself or what? At least the machine works now, though Aya's mom still isn't happy. She'd prefer if the hous hadn't been converted into a gym at the first place.

The next step is a bit convoluted though.



First I need to get on a Tauros. At this point I could defeat a Bouffalant with my bare hands, so that's not a problem. The next step is trickier.



It wasn't as tricky as it could be because I have a Golem with Explosion. Thanks to the healing machine I broke, I got teleported with the Tauros I was riding on. It seems I was not the only one, because there's a Haxorus rampaging inside the house. Now I can withdraw my pokemen and go get what I deserve.



Either Terra was here, or this sign was written in 2005. It does have a point though, because I did ride a Tauros up multiple ladders.



The infamous Beldum. R/S/E were kind enough to give the player a Beldum as a gift, but otherwise it needs to be caught normally, which is extremely difficult given its low catch rate and its only move being Take Down.



With 79 level difference, level balls were extremely effective. I found or received two of these at some point. Obviously I also had nest balls.

There's only one thing I can do before I get to the plot: help my homies get jobs.



These four seem to suit my friends well.



He doesn't seem to have any idea what a line cook does, but I appreciate his enthusiasm and passion for cooking. It's way beter than just loitering in this elevator.



This guy can go work for Meganium. I don't know who will sell me explosives now, so I'm kinda bummed out.

This fellow accepted the application for the secondary strongman position in the circus. The Agate Triumvirate or whatever they call themselves are a triumvirate once again!

The only one left is Maxwell himself. He really wants to help people, but doesn't know how. I don't know either, because there are things that need to be done first. But that's for another time.

Seriously? That's what made them come here? All the atrocities commited by Team Meteor were not enough to wake Lyn from her nap, but Titania and Amaria going for a swim in the sewers is suddenly worth flying across the region.




I've been saying this since the beginning - Ame wants to promote the league across the world, but it's completely non-functional. Like, Adrienn just showed up after years of being missing for years, and Terra is trapped inside a computer.



Spoiler: it's actually Adrienn forcing her to do that.



It's Fly. Fly is pretty fly, but I don't have a physically gifted flying pokemon. I might try to train up Rouge the Zubat for that. Don't I need Ciel's badge to use this move though?



Seems like a plan. Let's go clubbing!



A week under Adrienn resulted in more progress than years under Ame. I think I know what, or rather who, the city's real problem was.



Noiseferatu, take down the helicopter with Hurricane! They won't let me do that, right? Okay, I'll go modify my team, and then I'll come help.



Oh, this really doesn't look good. In fact, it's not gonna be good at all. I'm about to get into some really tough fight that I'm not going to enjoy.



Both Blake and Fern are here! Two insufferable douchebags in one place can only mean one thing - double battle. They want the bracelets, which doesn't surprise me. There's a serious conflict of interest here because my goal is not to allow anyone to touch the bracelets.



I'd make sure to use Explosion at least once, and go wild with Flamethrower. I understand we can't risk hurting Amaria even more, but I don't like taking orders from people like Titania.



I'm gonna take an offensive position and demoralize the enemies with my sheer audacity. Or I'm just gonna fight, that's good too.



I played a lot of XCOM, so I know the best entrances are the ones that you've made yourself with high explosives. We should go on scatter, crouch, and hope our reactions stat is good enough.
Also, Titania doesn't take Florina's way of speaking well, confirming my hypothesis that it's all because of her.



If we're supposed to team up against Blake and Fern, I'd rather have Titania on my side. Grass types don't fare well against ice.



Yeah, you guys landed on the roof and gave me enough time to run to the circus to change the team. You had all time in the world to take the bracelets while I wasn't around.

Solaris: That might have been a misplay on our side, I admit. Either way, you have two choices: you give us the Sapphire Bracelets and we leave you in peace, or we take the bracelets by force and leave you in ruin.
Julia: That's not happening! Get outta here before I boom your faces off!



Solaris didn't like Lyn's answer. I didn't expect any other outcome.



I didn't expect Florina to bring out a Hippowdon. She does love her sand despite it being coarse, rough, irritating, and getting everywhere. The battle started without issues. Grumpig has Icy Wind though, and even though it's 4x effective, it's still a rather weak move that's halved by the double battle.



I switched to protect Noiseferatu. Snow Pea pretty much sucked Golem dry, after which Hippowdon finished it off with Stomping Tantrum.



Snow Pea sacrificed himself to set up Reflect, effectively crippling Machamp and its Dynamic Punch. Then we both went on the offense, clearing the board of enemies.



A little Salazzle-dazzle can get you far, but not far enough. Speed is arguably the most important of Noiseferatu's many talents.



In the end it wasn't that bad, all things considered. Since Florina is with me, I'll get healed before the next battle, and I will need it.



Uh... No? But before you kill him, could I kick him in the ribs just once?



I haven't rejected my humanity, and while I'm somewhat handicapped in the feeling department, I can say it with confidence - it would be stupid to feel pity for someone who behaves like him, and openly admits to switching sides just because he can't identify the winning one.



Florina might pretend it's not the case, but even she is baffled that Fern still listens to Solaris after being taken hostage by him. I suppose Fern knew that nobody actually cares about him.



Is that really true?

Solaris: No, I was more than willing to kill him.
Fern: Eh? N-never mind! I'm still their most valuable ally! I gave them the layout of this place after all.



It might be tough, but I'm going to enjoy kicking these guys' asses.



Noiseferatu could take Haxorus down with one hit, but Walrein could do the same to him. It got its comeuppance in the form of a flurry of punches from Framme.



The enemies wanted to focus on Framme, but they hit Snow Pea instead. The green dino tanked Thunder and super effective Hidden Power without losing half of his HP.



It's getting tough, as if it hadn't been bad enough already. I can deal with that up to some point, but how long can I take it?



Rhyperior's massive physical bulk would be a problem for Framme alone, but Tangrowth could utilize its special weakness perfectly. If only beating Garydos was so easy.



Framme had nothing she could use against neither Scizor nor Garydos. I didn't want to risk switching either. Tangrowth has fire type Hidden Power, so at least one of the enemies could get rekt.



Fuck off, ex-Magikarp. I should have brought Nala to this battle, but my rock is still effective.



Huh.

Change of plans - Nala is vital for winning this battle. Forb's Surf would be useful against Blakes Mamoswine, but unfortunately it's weakened in double battles. I need a water pokemon that can use special attacks. Probably not gonna be Octillery.



Eh, this thing will have to do. With its pathetic speed, HELIX can benefit from zoom lens and actually hit with Hydro Pump. I couldn't get the correct nature, so I used the least detrimental mint I had.

It's not going well. Florina's Hippowdon got frozen from Walrein's Blizzard, and wasted a good chance to kill.




I dreaded this fight like no other, but with a liberal use of revives I could persevere. HELIX was pretty much useless because I had to pit her against Fern's Roserade.



While Florina rips into her brother for joining a terrorist cell and being a general disappointment, Solaris praises me for growing an inch taller since we last met. Little does he know that I'm just wearing platform shoes.



Really now? That will be 6 vs. 12. I wouldn't count on victory.



Oh, unless this happens. Still, since I could beat Blake again, I shouldn't have any trouble here. If only I could save here...



This time we're dealing with the big boss himself. Last time he had a massive level advantage, but now we're on equal terms. I think.



So far so good, I suppose. Scizor couldn't take the heat, expectably. Hippowdon proved to be a disappointment again, flinching after being hit with Whiscash's Waterfall.



Oh, this is frustrating. Rock Slide kept flinching my pokemon EVERY SINGLE TIME until Breloom destroyed it with Drain Punch. Great move, by the way. The Whiscash is still alive; the orderly switched it out to destroy HELIX, but that's not gonna happen.



Huh. I thought Microcline would tank Zap Cannon, Thunderbolt, or whatever Magnezone was meant to use, but Breloom put the magnet lad to sleep first.



That was it for Garydos. It was rendered comatose first, which was poggers. Thanks, Florina.



Magnezone was susceptible to Tangrowth's Hidden Power, but first it got softened with Nala's chompers.



Eelektross has no weaknesses! It even had an assault vest, which was knocked off by Tangrowth.



I think it's not going too bad. I've decided to let Dogmeat perish and finish the Mandibuzz with Framme's Extreme Speed. Whiscash was brutally squished with Torterra's Wood Hammer. Toucannon seems to be charging Beak Blast.



I risked it big by having Dogmeat use Flamethrower. Toucannon could have blasted her with Beak Blast if she missed or failed to defeat it with one hit.



Slowbro is an amazing defender, but its hard shell crumbled when it was hit with Nala's Wild Charge. It's all thanks to poison from the toxic orb. It starts weaker than burn and slowly gains power, but Nala is rarely in for a long game.

But hey, I won!



Lyn cannot be contained! She is impossible to kidnap bacause she has no regard for her own safety. Also, remember that in Fire Emblem archers can shoot through walls.



While everyone was busy fighting, I quietly healed Noiseferatu to take down the helichopper.



Lyn, I was trying to take the credit here! Jeez, learn to read a room.



Now that we have Lyn back in action, we can start our offense. Titania already has a body count in dozens, and Lyn has at least several counts of manslaughter to her name, not counting all the people she killed in the war. Let's increase these numbers!



I don't think burning the place would be feasible with how many water type pokemon are here. HELIX might actually prove herself.



The Bracelets used to belong to Belrose family, and they were lost when their house burned down. So it wasn't Charlotte after all! She will be disappointed when she hears she's innocent.



I can already see the mold. And it's not like the house was missing a swimming pool already. Remember when Titania told us to reduce collateral damage to minimum? I guess that order is now void.



Open Tibia Servers? Man, I haven't thought about Tibia since grade school. WoW was already out, but we were little kids, and Tibia was free to play and every toaster PC could run it. Surprising that the game is still going strong.
I don't think Lyn actually meant Open Tibia Servers though.



Amaria does have a soft spot for swimming pools. She would definitely buy into Team Aqua plans to flood the world. Too bad Team Aqua disbanded because of my actions.

Ah shit! I was hoping that the shackles will be broken, but they appear to have tightened even more. So much for helping Amaria out of a toxic relationship. At least the Titawin misunderstanding have been sorta solved. I mean, Titania really wasn't Titawin, and we have witnesses.



That was very long time ago. Just before I caught Forb, in fact. Now Titania can have it her way - she can keep Amaria in the dark about Team Meteor and be the dragon keeping the princess in the tower. I wish I could be the Prince Charming (Princess Charming?) and actually save her from this situation. True love's kiss doesn't have to be involved.



That's when the first kidnapping in the game happened! Victoria was snatched by Corey in the House. And there was also my first PULSE... good times, no bullshit double battles. Seriously, three double battles one after another with no rest is not something I'd like to repeat.



How is the new Amnesia game anyway? I heard it's pretty good. I'm not a big fan of horror games though, so it's not like that matters. Oh, and Amaria definitely doesn't remember shit.



Not many people who are important, just me and... no, Cain is irrelevant here. There was also a bunch of Team Meteor gimps, but all she needs to know is that



Now Florina is going to chase after her baby brother. The more logical course of action would be to reconcile with Titania first, now that they are both here, and stop talking in this annoying way. At least she's not going to have a caffeine crash like Lyn.



No. Frankly, the only thing I want from her is that she doesn't use this situation to manipulate Amaria. I can't expect that from her though.



Could this be karma? Not that I believe in it or anything. There was no reason not to tell Amaria that you were feeding Team Meteor false info other than your selfish desire to have control over her life. Or is it the fact that you don't love her, which makes the first thing even worse?



She didn't succeed the first time, so that doesn't really count.



I could hold on to them for a while. I think I've proven that I can take care of myself already.
And she flew to the desert where her gym is. The problem? I'd have to go to Reborn City to get there. For that I'll have to get Ciel's badge.



I wouldn't mind fishing out a Spheal here, but there's nothing to be caught. It would be strange if there was, honestly. I'll have to find another way to defeat Ciel.



This is hardly a surprise, but Microcline will be vital for this battle. Whatever Ciel sends first dies either to Stone Edge or Explosion. With a lot of luck, she might hit first thanks to her quick claw, and take down two instead of one.



Good ol' Nala is a one trick pony, and her trick is turning poison into higher voltage. Many of Ciel's pokemon will have a way to deal with electric types or some degree of immunity to electric moves. Gliscor would straight up wreck Nala, and other pokemon could have dirt type Hidden Power. Still, with her raw strength, Nala will be useful in some way.



Fast and strong, and in possession of Ice Punch, Bismarck is a good counter to possible Gliscor and the dreaded Mega Altaria (Mega Altaria is a fairy, not a flying type). That's right, I remember Ciel having that one. Ciel also has an Oricorio in its fire form, if I remember correctly, and some water would help immensely in that situation.



Titenic is a new hire with the worst possible nature and a crippling weakness to special moves. Even so, his sturdiness guarantees a single hit. If Gliscor real, Titenic is a perfect counter due to his immense defense stat. Altaria, despite being a mixed attacker, won't defeat Titenic in one hit, and will not like being hit with an ice attack.



I'm not sure why I'm still insisting on using HELIX, but he's got a rock move, and Oricorio is there. Let's see how the ancient diety will fare, and if he can redeem himself after his spectacular failures so far.



I never used ice types a lot. In the last playthrough I used an Aurorus for this battle, and I think that was it. My Hog is not that well suited for fighting Ciel, and is only here for moral support and because he knows a single ice move. He's so fluffy too, so if I get nervous, I can calm down by squeezing My Hog.



My battle in Amaria's house produced a powerful EMP that corrupted the program and deleted Terra. You can thank me for that.



That's not a big problem compared to harboring a known terrorist. Maybe Cain or Victoria have some hidden talents and would want to join you?



How cute! Unfortunately that doesn't really sound any better. Ciel isn't really interested; she's way to busy worrying about Terra to pay any attention to Jetstream Samson. I don't know why she's not happy about the clowngirl disappearing, honestly.



The ringmaster also wants Terra back for some reason despite many threats she posed. Am I the villain now for beating her?



This whole battle pass system is stupid and I refuse to participate in it any further. Come on ringmaster, I know you secretly agree with me.



Welp, I no longer want to abolish the system. When it works to my favor, it's pretty nifty. Time to use the ticket and issue a challenge.



I was nervous about this battle, but now I'm pretty confident. Ciel, I'm ready to dance! Let's see if you can keep up!



Oh, that wasn't good. Surprising that the Togekiss could survive Stne Edge, but I'm also surprised Microcline could take an Aura Sphere without the need to activate Sturdy. I expected something completely different here.



Piss off, Alear pigeon! Togekiss isn't all that fast unless it uses Extreme Speed which Ciel's doesn't have. Even then, Togekiss' attack stat is pathetic.



Noiseferatu's cousin used the big top's acoustics to empower its Boomburst and rip Bismarck's eardrums in a second. My Hog is hard, and could survive that powerful attack.



Praise be! Oricorio had nothing to use against HELIX, so it kept using Air Slash. It posed its own problems in the form of flinching. Fortunately the damage wasn't so great.



A little bit of snow was enough to bury Gliscor. Predictably, the bat thing used Acrobatics which was unimpressive due to Titenic's defense.



It was team effort, but Mega Altaria was taken down with a good dose of ice. Mega Altaria is dragon/fairy, meaning that Ciel should be disqualified for using pokemon outside of her expertise.



Minior had a focus sash. Tricky strategy, but not impossible to evercome.
That was just the first try. Now I know what to expect, and I can say with confidence that I can win.



Let's try again! Heavy Slam turned out to be better than Stone edge thanks to the striker field effect. Microcline was still much slower than the enemy.



Oricorio, just go home. HELIX has some experience with birds. Hell, he had sent a bird messiah at one point.



I really thought Bismarck's power would be enough. Naturally he was faster than Gliscor, but not fast enough. Then Titenic got hit with a critical Acrobatics. Bullshit. If I lose this one, it's just bad luck.



Ciel must have been frustrated that none of Minior's attacks could deal more than half damage to Titenic.



I almost forgot about Noivern. Even damaged by Oricorio, HELIX took a Dragon Pulse to her face, then crushed the dragon with her Ancient Power's rocks.



Not again! I've got an idea though!



Altaria is boned now. I've also replaced Nala with Noiseferatu for extra speed. I really need that. Besides, Noiseferatu knows Boomburst.



That really wasn't great. Microcline failed to deliver a slam heavy enough to one-hit. I'll have to revive her if I'm to use my strategy.



Alright, that was enough to solve this problem.



Oricorio Baton-Passed into Gliscor who got its face pressure washed. I had to use an X defense and a full restore, but it all worked fine.



Oricorio went down like a chump again. Air Slash is just frustrating, but I've got plenty of potions.



The secret to this one was to hit Minior with hidden power so it doesn't transform. I had to hit it first to go around the focus sash.



EKUSUPUROSHON! Noiseferatu had to finish the job with his Boomburst though. I really do hope the audience appreciated me using the field, even if it was only twice.



This glorious victory marks the end of the "out-of-the-city" arc. My suffering is now over!



Acrobatics is a flying move that's extremely powerful when the user doesn't hold an item. It works with flying gems because they are consumed on use. It's a great move, provided you have a physical attacker that can use it.



Yeah, just keep fucking up the league even further by refusing all challenges because nobody gets to have a battle pass even if they save the world multiple times.



Oh my god, we're back on the topic of Terra. If you guys are gonna discuss trying to release her again, I'm gonna go and not take any blame for what you do.



Don't Bully Me, Ciel-san. I've seen these kind of things - she's teasing him because she can't express her feelings properly. It's her way to be close to him without the awkwardness.



Oh, more family drama! Exquisite! So there's another performer somewhere in Reborn, and Ciel is considering reconnecting with them. I've got a feeling this isn't as simple as she thinks. And she doesn't think it would be simple.

Magmarizer! To evolve Magmar I'd have to find another one, so perhaps there's no need to get all excited. Electivire would also be much more useful in my current situation. This was a reward for beating Blake.



I sort of have important news for you, but if it's about that, then I can sit down and listen for a while.



Apparently it's Terra's, not Ciel's. That might be good news because I'm absolutely not prepared to take on Ciel. I don't have many pokemon that are good against flying types, and many of my best ones are weak to the type. I'd have to try bringing Peeh and Titenic.

Ciel: I'm looking forward to that battle, if that's the case. Unfortunately challenging Terra might not be simple - we are unable to locate her at this moment.
Samson: She's been disappearing for days at a time as of late. If she's around, everyone in fifty mile radius is keenly aware of her.
Ciel: As to where she might be disappearing, we can only speculate. Agate city can be ruled out as the sleeping spell would make this impossible.
Samson: She herself said that the signal she's been tracing was in Ametrine, so maybe...
SQ: Maybe she's not there, because I just got back from there. She played you like a fiddle - she couldn't find Titawin because she is Titawin.
Ciel: But that's impossible. Why would an organization such as Team Meteor accept a person like her?



You stupid bitch! Fred Flintstone's home! But I'm not getting the prune juice. I'm also not Terra's C-word.



Straight to the point; that's why I respect Samson. Ciel would just beat around the bush, but Jetstream Samson is all about action.



I liked Megaman Battle Network. Anyway, Terra did disappear into the computer. If you can shove pokemon into the PC, then why not a clown? I just hope it won't crash when I inevitable follow her into the cyberspace.

Terra fights on the infamous Glitch Field. I should bring strong psychic pokemon to make use of these infamous gen 1 mechanics.



Look at the size of My Hog! He's so hairy too! I'd keep stroking My Hog all night! I also forgot to EV train, but it's not too late.



It's not Titenic's time yet, but I found some time to turn him from a icicle into an iceberg.



Okay, training is done. Terra fights on the glitch field, but it doesn't matter much for Snow Pea. His synthetic seed will turn him into a type. Frankly, I have no idea what pokemon Terra has, and even whether she prefers single or double battles. Snow Pea serves as a scout in this attempt. If he bumps into a Gliscor, he's dead on the spot.



Noiseferatu's strategy hasn't changed since the beginning - he comes in, uses his speed and power to destroy the enemy, dies to the next hit. This time, however, the glitch field increases his meager special defense to a whopping 240. If Terra has a Flygon, perhaps Noiseferatu's Dragon Pulse could be the answer. The problem - other than Dragon Pulse, all his attacks will be physical. A small change of plans - he will learn Flamethrower instead of Dark Pulse. Dark Pulse is normal on glitch field, btw. In that case he will be given a dragon gem.



Another Flygon killer, Bismarck is fast and strong, but even with the glitch field, his special stat is very poor. Another case of hit and die strategy.
Just realized Bismarck is seriously crippled by the field effect. He can't use special attacks to save his life, and both water and ice moves will become special. He will not be participating.



Alexander is an interesting case - on the glitch field his RKS system, well, glitches out turning him into a type, so giving him a memory gives me no advantage. Shame, because the flying memory would at least make him immune to dirt type moves. His special defense is raised to 239, which is poggers.



Belladonna is another physical attacker, like Bismarck, who scoffs at the single special stat of her enemies. Unfortunately they will scoff at her special stat too. No matter! Her CBT boots will surely take down at least one opponent. Worth noting that her Play Rough will be normal type, so sending her against Flygon would be bad.
Belladonna, similarly to Bismarck, can't do what she's best at, and therefore is not suitable for this fight.



Man, I dunno. Forb's special is pretty good. Nature Power becomes Metronome on the glitch field, and Metronome always selects moves with base power of 70 or more. That being said, I'm not gonna use Nature Power unless I don't have a choice.



This is the replacement for Bismarck. While she can't utilize STAB moves, she can succ with her Giga Drain that should be super effective against the majority of Terra's pokemon. Since STAB doesn't mater for her, she will hold a synthetic seed to boost defense even further.



Tourmaline will replace Belladonna. A psychic pokemon with amazing special stats and formidable speed, she can easily take down a Nidoking or a Nidoqueen. Her ice-type Hidden Power is a threat to any Flygon or Gliscor that Terra might have. Can you tell that I'm scared of these two pokemon?



Huh, I'm in gen 1 now. Though my gen 3 style sprite remains in color. This is a gen 7 game with gen 3 graphics, and I'm currently in a gen 1 world. Isn't this bonkers?



I thought this guy is supposed to ask me for a Boulder Badge. This one from Lyn is apparently enough. One of my favorite lords in Fire Emblem, but a lousy pokemon trainer.



That's Florina's badge. She liked sand a lot, but in the end her strategy didn't make enough of a difference to secure a victory.



This was the first gym battle where I could use real strategy rather than fighting with what I had. Shelly's rain strategy was simply not enough to stop me. Nala was already on my team, so I could just steamroll her.



Spooky Ghost was meant to be wake-up call leader, but all it took to beat him was to turn on the lights.



Hey, killing the challenger hardly counts as a gym puzzle! I'd do the same, but I'm not gonna become a leader anytime soon.




No cyber-fish in this pool. Shame, I was hoping for a Cyber-Chinchou which would help with Ciel and later with Amaria.



Now I'm in a corrupted version of Mt. Moon. Would it hurt to send me to the Fire Red version?



Oh, a Cyber-Zubat! I suppose it's as good a catch as any. Crobat is extremely fast, but most of the leaders who it would be good against have already been defeated. I think there's only Adrienn remaining to be beaten by poison pokemon.

I also wasted a synthetic seed because of Rouge.



This program I'm currently in isn't all that well programmed, it seems. Team Meteor shouldn't have got rid of Ace.



Alexander glitched out, and his tail and crest turned transparent. I wonder how that will affect his health. I would be surprised if Silvally's lifespan was over 5 years in the first place.



I expected dirt types, but water types are good enough as feed for Snow Pea.



Snorlax is always annoying, especially when you don't start with a strong fighting pokemon. Snow Pea could deal with it. The Snorlax blasted Hyper Beam which is physical on this field, but Reflect worked its magic.



Aerodactyl, more like Aerodicktyl.



Woah, this is gen 1 Opal Ward! Pretty neat, but I can't catch pokemon here since I already caught Brick the Bidoof in the real Opal Ward.



Hey guys, did you know... that Vaporeon is pretty cool? Even with high-accuracy Blizzard, it couldn't match Snow Pea. Blizzard has 90% accuracy on this field, because that's how it was in gen 1.



This one was Aya's. I was terrified of her, but managed to beat her in the first try. That was the first time I had to overcome a field designed to be a middle finger to the player.



Same tbh , except I'm a girl now, so it's not a big deal.

This is Team Rocket hideout. Haven't dealt with the yakuza in this game yet. A welcome change. Maybe.



Charmeleon kept boosting itself with Dragon Dance, and I had a chance to switch and kill it before it could use its boosts. Pretty lame.

Boy, am I glad I've got this puzzle remembered by heart. I've played Pokemon Leaf Green so many times it's not funny.



Serra's main issue was choosing to fight on an easily destructible field without which she was powerless. It's a wonder she made it big in the world of pokemon battles.
Also, I'm in Lavender Town. I'm gonna bleed from my realistic eyes because of the music. I did find it mildly annoying when I played Leaf Green, but I never died, at least because of that.

That would be helpful for Aster's sidequest, except it doesn't count as evidence. There's a possibility that Terra doesn't even know Eclipse's real name.



Noel's badge was harder to get than I expected. Clefable is one of these pokemon that fill me with primal fear.



And now I'm back in Reborn, this time around in Bigby Wasteland. I seriously like this place like this rather than how it is in reality. Reality being relative, of course.



Pokemon Mansion, the place where they made Mewtwo. Maybe I could catch my own Mewtwo here? A Cyber Mewtwo, but Mewtwo nonetheless. It would be a good friend with Alexander, I think; they could bond over their tragic origins.



That was Radomus, wasn't it? Flipping the board like some sort of stupid savage turned an unwinnable battle into a cakewalk. All thanks to a rabid ape I found in the slums.



Luna suffered from the same problem as Serra - her field was ridiculously easy to destroy. Also I had the advantage of having strong fighting pokemon.



Speaking of strong pokemon, this Sanslash wasn't one.



Is it me, or is this whole cyber-place designed specifically to make things easy for grass pokemon?



I can finally get a Porygon-Z. I do have a Porygon, but I might be able to catch a better one soon. Better AND shiny.



Seems like Terra isn't doing this only because she like causing trouble. She really believes in this Team Meteor bullshit about new world and all. And the whole time I thought she was an agent of chaos like me.



And this is the place beyond the gate, the place where I fought El and Arceus. Terra was able to build this place, meaning that she knows what this place looks like. Disturbing, to say the least.



This place is full of shiny Porygons that look like gen 1 porygons. They retain this style even as Porygon-Z's. Pretty neat, but I caught Gnorts the Elgyem in the real version of this area.



Yeah, that's right. Once I was reminded about Samson's pokemon, I could adapt and defeat him quite easily. To think he was such an immovable wall earlier. It was thanks to him that I discovered the wonder that is Explosion.



I think it's Reborn Victory Road. Never got here, but I don't know another Victory Road with gigantic gears.



I don't need another one. It could have been a Machoke.



This is Cerulean Cave, Mewtwo's hideout. There's no Mewtwo here, unfortunately. I'd love to have one.



Won't you fly high, Threebird, yeah! *guitar solo*
Dodrio is both fast and strong, but there's nothing more to it. Even so, I love this pokemon. Probably not gonna use it, but I love it. It's one of these pokemon that would really benefit from a mega form.



I said no Mewtwo? No wild Mewtwo, I meant.



Oh, ghost moves don't affect psychic types on this field. I'm not gonna have a good time here.



Mewtwo could easily one hit everything with its boosted Psystrike, and if not, it would blast with Ice Beam. Apparently it also has perfect IVs. Gotta change the strategy. Meanwhile:



This Zubat is FAST, and it would be even faster with a half-decent nature. I could spend some heart scales to fix her, but I probably won't. She would benefit from having more attack, and this is not something I can change.



The slowest of all Dodrios, but otherwise pretty good. Well, speed is kinda the point of Dodrio, so...



That wasn't hard after all. Chanel was still resistant to psychic moves, and Mewtwo lacked the firepower to take her down in one hit. Frankly, I expected to have to bring out Microcline for another Explosion. If Ash had a Golem, the first Pokemon movie would have been much shorter.



I've battled Charlotte so recently, yet I don't remember much of the battle. Maybe that's for the best; means I haven't suffered a psychological trauma.



I've waited for the chance to show Terra who's the boss for a LONG time. Enough of clowning around; time for a serious battle!



The Nidoking used Amnesia which raised its special by two stages. Frustrating, because most attacks good against it that I have access to are special. In fact, I haven't brought any physical attacker to this battle!



This is why Tourmaline is here. Her Psychic was boosted AND busted, breaking through the double increase in special with ease. Unfortunately Blizzard from a Nidoking is still a Blizzard.



Hippowdon is a formidable physical attacker and defender, but its special stats leave a lot to be desired. My HM slave TMX slave had no problem destroying it, although she was effectively removed from the battle through Yawn.



The Excadrill used Sword Dance which would have been deadly if not for Alexander's critical Surf. This isn't looking good for Terra, this much I can say for sure.



I'm pretty sure that was assault vest in action. If that's the case, I'm boned hard.



It appears that was, in fact, the case. If I knew that, Thief would have doomed it, but now I had to brute force it.



Huh, now I know what to do.



That will make things easier. Assault vest protects the holder from special attacks, but blocks them from using status moves. Without that, Garchomp won't take much ice and dragon attacks.



I'm not playing anymore, Terra. This is as serious as it's gonna get, meaning somewhat serious but still silly.



It's a foolproof technique. Even if Forb nearly died getting minced by Stone Edge, it's always good to dispose of this wretched hippo-thing. You really gotta know how to handle Hippowdon, or else you're in for a bad time.



Speaking of bad time, Excadrill got itself in deep one again, wasting its only turn on Sword Dance. Divine might of Alexander's Surf is not to be underestimated.



I might have messed up anyway. Garchomp is still too tough even for Tourmaline's ice type Hidden Power. Maybe I should have used Psychic instead? Garchomp is still faster than my Espeon. Terra switched to Quagsire at the last moment.



Snow Pea could stall a bit, but couldn't deliver the final strike. Synthetic seed turned Quagsire into a type, denying me the type advantage. Then it boosted big time. Microcline was somehow faster than the amphibian terror, and delivered the final strike.



This is not how you handle Palossands, just a warning. Synthetic seed doomed that sandcastle badly. Even despite its high defense boosted by the seed, it couldn't handle a real move.



Terra cheesed with ultra potions, I cheesed with revives. Garchomp weakened its own special attack with Draco Meteor, which unfortunately didn't change its special defense. This field is gimmicky, and understanding how it works is the key to this battle.



The TM is Bulldoze, not Earthquake. This move has its own merits, like slowing down the enemy, but it's not a top tier high damage move.



Fuck yo couch, Terra! Fuck! Yo! Couch!



E-everything? Please tell me you haven't recorded it so I can deny everything.

Samson: I should have, but it didn't cross my mind at the time. Anyway, looks like she was leading you on a wild goose chase.
SQ: I realized that as soon as it turned out she was Titawin. What now?
Samson: Yeah, what now? She ran away and it seems there's now way to get to her.
SQ: I have my badge; I'm satisfied. Though I doubt this will be the last time we see her.



I for one am not concerned about Terra's safety. Mercy for the enemies causes trouble more often than not, unless the enemies are pretty boys. For some reason bishies are known to change sides often.



How about we don't? Let's carry the computer outside and melt it down? I'm fairly certain Dogmeat's fire can reach a high enough temperature.



With Terra's badge I can now scale waterfalls on Forb's... hat? Leaf? On top of Forb. That means I should probably go check on Amaria and Titania, but I don't care that much, and there's loot to be gathered.



Loot such as Psyshock. I had to slide on some ice and push some rocks, but it was worth it, especially since there are treasure rocks to break. I don't think I have a lot of blast powder left...



Time for Alexander to harness the power of vast oceans and raging rivers. STAB Surf is now within our grasp.



Wow, just in time for a battle against PULSE Avalugg! It will be hard, but I can use Toxic to slowly but surely tire it out. I could have come here earlier, but I must have missed the diving spot. I wouldn't have been able to climb the waterfall for that sweet loot either.



This will come in handy if I ever get to have a massive battle on top of a snowy mountain. Who knows, maybe I'll even have to take out my Ludicolo.



That's a Sneasel! What is it doing there? What is it doing in this icy cave that's a perfect habitat for Sneasels? I'll keep my mouth shut from now on.



That's how you break rocks, Sneasel. Join me, and you will be stuck in the Holding Facility for eternity receive the gift of immense power.



Okay, time to forget about this one. At least it's good to have it in the pokedex. Ame will be grateful that I'm at least pretending to try to catch 'em all.



These caves are full of interesting stuff! If I ever need a Huntail, which I doubt I will, I can get one now.



Look at this beauty! It allows Snorlax to use Pulverizing Pancake instead of Giga Impact. I'd have to have a Snorlax first.



This is a mega stone for Obamasnow. Again, I'd have to have one to use it. Mega Obamasnow is good, even with its bad type combination. I'd like to try using one, but it's apparently not meant to be.



Hey, it's Totodile! It dove underwater as fast as it appeared. I don't exactly know how to lure it out, but I'll have to do it, and I don't feel like returning here in the future.



Turns out you just have to catch it and then you can... catch it. With its low level it couldn't wriggle its way out of the nest ball. Nest ball quickly became one of my favorite balls.



The TM is Work Up which increases both attack stats. Not the worst move, but it's not Calm Mind or Swords Dance. The claw can evolve Sneasel into Weavile.



Low Sweep is fighting type Bulldoze. Even despite the massive drawbacks, Close Combat is just better.



I think that's it for that place, at least until I get Rock Climb. That move certainly unlocks many possibilities, but it comes a bit later, not sure when.



Okay, it's time to bite the bullet and descend into the sewers where I belong. Is that Victoria? Is she done sulking? She's probably worried sick about me, and here I am going for a swim in sewage.



No FUCKING swearing! Also, since when is Amaria's an hero my business? If you're willing to wait here for me to fish out your partner for you, then maybe you really don't love her? Get your Empoleon and your fishing rod and just go looking for her.



Oh, that complicates the matters. Titania is still infinitely more powerful than me and could easily solo this whole place.



I can't say I'm thrilled by this possibility.



Oh, but when I try to do it, I'm suddenly a monster. All I wanted to do was have my otter break a guy's spine with its tails; I never even considered stabbing someone with an Aegislash. I would if I had an Aegislash.



I have Waterfall, so this is hardly my problem. You'll figure something out, as you did with these grunts.



Something tells me Titania doesn't realize she's in no position to talk down to me like this. One more remark like this, and I'm leaving her here.



I've been in many ambushes already, and I gotta say this is the most low effort one I've ever seen so far. Why the hell would they want us to come to the Treatment Center if it wasn't to dispose of us for good? I'm not falling for this.

In the last episode of Pokemon Reborn: Amaria and Titania jumped off a waterfall to their certain doom; SQ and friends traversed the icy mountain just to discovered further road has been destroyed; SQ and Aya broke through a Team Meteor installation, witnessing a Chandelure devouring Eclipse's soul; Aya was kidnapped, but SQ pushed through all the way to Calcenon City!

And here I am, in front of Calcenon pokemon center, getting ready for what's ahead.



Ah, Qwilfish, formerly a very much sub-par pokemon. With the introduction of Overqwil it's... still sub-par. Even if it was available outside of Legends: Arkyoos, Overqwil is still kinda crap.
This girl wants to trade her Munchlax for my Qwilfish, which would be a good trade if I had a Qwilfish, preferably a legal one.



This guy is salty because Charlotte pulled an ultra potion on him. As a reward for agreeing with him he told me about a cheat code that makes trainers not use items. Cheating is for chumps anyway.



The teacher forces her Magby to heat the school, but it's too weak to keep up. Maybe if I was to bring her a magmarizer she would reward me? It's a great source of heat after all.



I don't quite remember how and when the kids got here. I'm glad none of them got kidnapped this time. Well, I assume Charlotte hadn't. It's her home turf, so it would be silly.



Cain pretends he doesn't care about Aya, but I know he's worried sick. He's good at pretending.




Do we need any more evidence that Cain is a fucking moron? He let a stranger walk away with a little girl because he can't think for himself.



DUN DUN DUN! So, uh... what's the significance of this?

Shelly: If it's the same person, then I... I've only heard bad things about him. I need to talk to Heather. I'm going to Ametrine!
Cain: The path is blocked; you're not gonna get far. There's a gigantic iceberg in the way. We're worried that there's no way to get food to the mountaintop.
Shelly: Then Heather might... s-starve?
Noel: If she was to starve, wouldn't she just fly somewhere else?
Anna: If we can't get through, over or around the iceberg, there's only one last possibility remaining. You have to go under it!
Noel: You're thinking about diving.
Anna: Correct! One point for Nomos!
Noel: I was the one who said that!



Anna had Dive all along! She got it as a prize in the circus, but I never saw them offering a prize like this. Not that it matters right now, because I can't use it yet. I'll have to beat Ciel for that. It's also a mediocre move, though extremely useful against Amaria.

Actually it turns out I need to beat Charlotte to get to use Dive, but I don't know if that's right.



Ah shit, not only is Hardy unable to break the barrier with his head, I also can't break Fern's ribs with my foot.



Same, except I always assume I will be the winner.



He's actually not open to be proven wrong; he just doesn't think he will be. I know that douche too well. I also know Hardy well enough to know he will keep slamming into the barrier. As long as it helps him sleep at night.



I seriously doubt it. So far, I was the one rescuing people, and I doubt this is gonna change.



I've got a bad feeling about it. I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but he's gonna find out anyway.



I sorta lied - Eclipse is just missing her soul. I better not tell him about the atrocities his precious daughter took part in.



Based, but it looks like he's overworking his poor Elekid. Maybe if he had an electirizer he could power his TV and let the little guy rest. I don't have that item though.



Caroline has been dead for years, killed by the very daughter who later replaced her. Kinda sussy if you ask me. Charlotte lived in the orphanage until recently, so I guess nobody bothered replacing the sign.



Oh yeah, she does. Like letting several leaders be barred from battling by a doctor, or not replacing the fairy leader who disappeared in 2015.



Since it involves Ame, then it's probably a league matter.



Well yeah, she helped orphanage escapees, well, escape. Noel and Charlotte are probably next, but they haven't found replacements yet. Wait... wasn't El supposed to get Bennett into the league? Could that be it?



So this is not the time, huh? Probably some more pointless talking before I can finally battle Charlotte.



Come on, I know what this thing does, and I'm not giving it to you guys no matter what. We all have to make sacrifices, right? I learned it from Team Meteor.



I'm getting mixed signals here. And how do they expect me to get the ring through the barrier? A pretty badly planned operation on Team Meteor's side.



It goes without saying that if they remake the world, none of us will exist.



First of all, it's Heather's Ruby Ring. Second, this is very much out of character for Charlotte. She's smarter than to cause a scene in a moment like this.



Easily. I have principles that I'm not betraying, and one of these principles is not giving away the keys.




Oh no, Charlotte stole the ring and told everyone where she's gonna take it! What shall we do?



Hardy is sort of dumb, but in an endearing way. He doesn't seem to realize the situation is as stable as it will ever be with Aya being held hostage. There's no point explaining it to him, because he wouldn't understand.



Yeah, and they are both heartless and dangerous. During my first playthrough, Saphira and Titania actually melded into a single entity in my head.



Can't say I can relate. Still, I trust Charlotte. She's surprisingly well adjusted for someone with antisocial tendencies.



The whole charade boils down to this. I should follow Charlotte anyway to confirm she hasn't been captured with the ring.



I wasn't worried for a second. Still, what's the next part of the plan? Going back to the power station? There will definitely be a high-ranking officer in there.



We could also have a fight right now. Charlotte kept the ring, which is probably better for Aya's safety, if not for the ring itself.

Charlotte fights on the burning field that she quickly turns into superheated field. Certain moves can put down the burning field, and among them Noiseferatu's Hurricane. As Noiseferatu is the fastest of all my pokemon, I will trust him with that role. With the field destroyed, the battle should be straightforward.



As I said, Noiseferatu will try to extinguish the fire. The elemental seed will raise his attack stats and speed, but trap him in Fire Spin. His resistance to fire type moves is a great boon, but he's weak against rock attacks that I can also expect to see.



In the absence of water or rock memory, dragon will have to do. Dragon is a poor offensive type, but most fire pokemon can't land a super effective hit on dragon pokemon. Alexander has the ability to extinguish fires, weaken fire moves, and empower water moves. I'm talking about Rain Dance, of course. Is it weird to use a man-made god to change the weather?



Microcline might not need to explode in this battle, but I might resort to that strategy in a rematch, should I lose my first attempt. Many fire pokemon are powerful special attackers. That's obviously not good for a Golem. Sturdy will come in handy, as usual.



During rain, Bismarck's speed is 464, which is pretty much unbeatable. Of course that's only when the rain is on. If the fire isn't extinguished, which is unlikely, Bismarck's moveset doesn't give him much of a chance to do much good.



Nala is only here to beat Charizard. The fire might be put out, but she will be on fire thanks to her Flame orb.



Cheeks suffers from the same issues as Microcline - low special defense. Unlike Microcline, she hits with special attacks, though not as hard.



Remember Wallace's gym puzzle in Ruby/Sapphire? This is the idea behind Charlotte's gym puzzle. Instead of falling down to a trainer gauntlet, you get thrown to the beginning if you make a mistake. I'm good at these puzzles, believe it or not.



There are still trainers here. Uncle Iroh apparently works for Charlotte now. She does seem like she needs some Iroh-style guidance in her life.



My job here is to defeat him, however. No hard feelings, old man. Simisear got confused after being blasted with Hurricane, and killed itself on its turn. Sadge.



Flareon's got no moves! It was a good meme in gen IV. Noiseferatu got battered with Iron Tail, but managed to prevail in the end.



Looks like we'll be fighting on a superheated field, not burning field. That complicates the matter somewhat. It can be destroyed with powerful ice moves that I don't have. It can also be turned into burning field and then extinguished. I may need to do something risky.



I'm glad she got over killing her parents, I guess. Or at least she claims she did. The good thing is that she isn't all angsty about it. Means I won't keep hearing about it every second.




I thought I met a fellow sociopath, but it seems she's a full on psychopath. As long as she's on Team Good Guys, right? Doesn't matter, right now she's an opponent, and she won't go easy on me. I don't intend to go easy on her either.



A battle between two potentially dangerous teenage girls, and only one can prevail. I won't be fighting fire with fire, but I'm gonna raise the heat. Charlotte, prepare to be burnt to a crisp, so to say!



Believe it or not, but Typhlosion igniting the field was actually good for me, although I planned to do it myself with Microcline's Explosion.



It was still pretty good. Darmanitan is a powerful physical attacker, but it lacks defense SEVERELY. The Explosion took it down immediately despite being at half power. I sort of expected Cheeks to survive and actually attack; that's why I brought her alongside Microcline.



OH! The burning field isn't destroyed completely! It turns into superheated field! My whole strategy was built on false data, and is therefore completely invalid. Great. Delphox raised a Light Screen, which Noiseferatu can break through thanks to his Infiltrator ability. I should probably target the fox then.



I chose to use Dark Pulse over Hurricane despite the latter still being somewhat stronger in this situation. It was mostly a matter of accuracy, but as a bonus it made Delphox flinch. After Typhlosion defeated Noiseferatu with its Secret Power, Alexander unleashed the fury of the ocean. Delphox couldn't take it, but Typhlosion has respectable special defense further boosted by the Light Screen.



That was interesting. Bismarck used his physical prowess to one-shot Volcarona who excels in both special stats, but not so much physical ones. Typhlosion missed with Heat Wave miserably, and was swept away by Alexander's wave.



This ended badly. The Ninetales has a telluric seed which raises its speed, as well as the Drought ability that summons sunlight, and Solarbeam that hits in the first turn and is empowered by rainbow. How cheap! At least I know my strategy isn't gonna work. That, and also that Charlotte doesn't have a Charizard, which frankly works to her advantage. Charizard kinda sucks.



I realized that Cheeks won't be all that useful in this battle, so Dogmeat will replace her. I was seriously missing Extremespeed there.



My flame isn't out yet! Typhlosion seems to be here just to ignite the field, so I've decided to dispose of it first. Fortunately Microcline hit with Stone Miss. Darmanitan's Flare Blitz hurts like a motherfucker though.



I'm not fighting fair. Charlotte hoped to destroy Microcline with Rotom's Hidden Power, but no such luck. The toaster got hit with a bag of rocks instead. I'm not upset about Alexander's death. If Charlotte's next pokemon is Delphox, then I need Someone else in here fast.



Oh, that wasn't it. Still, Bismarck is extremely fast due to rain, and strong enough to easily beat Volcarona. Darmanitan, as strong as it is, couldn't do much against a Golem and a Floatzel in a double battle.



This went somewhat poorly. The rainbow weakened Dark Pulse severely, so Dogmeat spent a few turns hitting Delphox with Extremespeed.



That went poorly too. I had the right idea, but I made some really bad decisions. I don't feel like I hit a wall, so that's good at least.



Again!

First turn went exactly like the last time, up to minute details.



The second turn went badly. Microcline missed completely but survived. I'll continue healing her for now. Bismarck killed Volcarona again. He's good at this!



God heard my prayers and allowed quick claw to proc, so Microcline could wreck Ninetales in one hit. Similarly, Noiseferatu hit Darmanitan with Hurricane. The atack was initially meant for Ninetales.



And here we go. I used Dark Pulse again like some sort of moron, but it flinched Delphox, and I'm all about that. Finally I shook Charlotte's world and her annoying fox. I have emerged victorious, even if far from honorable.



It wasn't guilt weighing you down; it was my overwhelming power and my enormous stockpile of full restores. Flamethrower is one of the best moves ever devised; thanks for that!
