Die, because Death took him along on a business trip one day.

WWUD on a business trip?

I voted for all the crafting-related professions---I want to be able to do things in adventure mode (Other than getting repeatedly stabbed in the head by goblins, humans, and everything).

Once we get all those, I will absolutely become a scholar, just as soon as learning everything has value. I will learn ALL the knowledge! And once we get magic, I think you can probably guess what I'll do then.

The flying +steel ingot+  strikes Urist in the head, and the severed part sails off in an arc!
The audience has fainted.
The band has crumbled to its end.

WWUD in a jazz band?

Begin the month-old-thread-necromancy!

ES? Anything?

Anyone? Anything?

Such a good story, it needs to continue.

Call it furry, duh.

WWUD in a marching band?

Dear Marksdwarves,
Thank you for not having the first clue on what a crossbow can be used for.
Not only did you refuse to fire them at the forgotten beast, you also didn't even use them as hammers.
I hope you enjoyed your head-smashing ends.
Thanks for ruining that fort. If I hadn't save-scummed, your antics would have had me trying again with exactly one dwarven child and his puppy outside the sealed fort, while they watched the caravan and diplomat turn around and leave.

Play 20 games of DF. Simultaneously.

And play the largest forts without lag.

WWUD with the capability to create computers that cannot lag? (Because they're absurdly powerful)

DF Suggestions / Re: Clothing and armor comfort

The specific heat of a material in a macrostructure is of course changed by the presence of other molecules. If there are no other molecules, attributes like surface area may be responsible for changing the speed of energy transfer.

That said, I'm no thermochemist, so don't take what I say as absolutely right (Not that any of you have a problem with saying I'm wrong ;))

Specific heat is the amount of thermal energy (In Joules) required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of material by 1 degree Celsius.
Conductivity is specific heat, in that a more heat-conductive material (Metals are a good example) have much lower specific heats than non-conductive materials.

Example: Water's specific heat is 4.2 J/g or so. Copper's is less than 1 (.8? Don't quote me, I don't remember). Copper takes 1/5 of the energy to be heated the same amount as an equivalent amount of water. Therefore, copper is a more conductive substance than water.

Just read through this entire fort in about two days.

Awesome. Sheer awesome.

Crap. Just started an adventure, didn't even need to leave the room where I spawned and I already has leads on some beasts and bandits, and an abduction. I collected two followers (Without leaving said room or collecting any gear), and then walked through a short hallway to the next room.

There was a kobold archer there.

The first shot took me down as my superior willpower, high toughness, and superior endurance character passed out from pain, then I proceeded to watch the sounds as my companions chased the kobold around the building....and never checked their wounded leader.

I bled to death less than 2 minutes after starting the adventure.
Are you playing the most recent version? Singular bones breaking knockning you unconscious got fixed two versions ago I think? From what I've seen it might even have been fixed too much. I've been pretty much completely unable to cause passing out from pain.
Yeah, I'm on the most recent version (Or at least .43 something). I didn't see where I was hit---I never got to see the logs, I just ended up at the screen that says "You are dead, have a nice day". Completely vanilla DF. That said, shortest non-quit adventure in history, I'm pretty sure.

You've got a problem, buddy: That book was written by an elf. Communist elf hippies incoming.
You'd better set up the (Wooden, of course) guillotines, because you've got a revolution coming.

Just died inside of 2 minutes of starting an adventure, because I collected 2 companions and walked into another room to collect gear.

Darn you, kobold archer.
