How do you guys deal with the problem of keeping all your players in the same timeframes so you don't have 1 person doing 5 actions in 1 day and another doing an action for each 5 minutes
Mind rephrasing that question? Do you, for example, mean how does one make it so each player is in the same time frame?
If yes, there's a few solutions; have it so each turn takes a set amount of in-game time, or don't specify the amount of time.

I think Fox news ran a story about LCS once back around the time of people debating whether video games are an art form. If I'm remembering correctly for some reason they didn't like it. Goodluck finding it with a google search.

Yeah same problem with me, I claimed a abandoned fortress, but could not retire there. When I retired in the nearest human town I checked legends and noticed that my adventurer had moved into the dwarf fortress that he now was lord of. Kinda silly.
well thats still kinda handy maybe toady thinks you need to head into town to get the supplies to set up or something

although that wouldent really make sense for a lair

well thats disappointing i clamed a lair i had cleared out (well i think i have i killed something in the wilderness not long ago that was probably the old owner) but i cant retire the adventurer here

dropping trees on enemys was actually the first thing i thought of when i heard about multi tile trees although the trees werent what i was expecting i thought they would just be 2*2 trunks but if you cam pull it off it could probably still work my initial ideas involved a wall of trees surrounding your fortress

You must pasture Saltwater Crocodiles in the trees.

Please take the time to acquire a mental image of a massive, ancient oak tree falling on you, and also each branch is filled with eagerly grinning 20 foot long Crocodiles.

i closed my eyes and conjured the image then i giggled my descent into madness is complete

no it was not a jab i suppose what i was thinking about was roll to act reasonably the gm recently threatened that if people dident start acting reasonably he would get bored also he complained that everybody was so all over the place instead of interacting with each so everybody started to try and get near each other the acting reasonably again will take a while though and it wasent a jab at that either the gm did good keeping his players in line

1. roll to dodge
2. do not roll to not dodge
3. make up shit on the run
4. try to make the shit pleasant
6. if you can't make the shit pleasant, make it over the top unpleasant
7. try to make it obvious your motivation isn't infinite
8. there was no point 5

yeah threatening to stop running a game if the participants dont follow what the games meant to be is a great way to bring it back on track
