Artifacts gain a 2x hit modifier.

Isn't it a x3 modifer?

I just got incredibly lucky concerning a werebeast. My miner happened to be in the area and severed his neck, but not before the werechameleon got a bite on the upper arm, bruising the muscle through the pig tail fiber coat. Well one month later, no transformation. Happy me! That brings up the question though: is the werebeast curse transmitted only when blood is drawn?

So I took a hiatus for some Warlords of Draenor and other games, and then I realized that that was August. Before I jump back into the !!FUN!!, is there anything especially important I missed since then concerning updates?

Either

A) Get stuck in midair and die of dehydration
B) Crash and burn spectacularly

WWUD if the fortress became a dragon hatchery? (assume useful size is reached in ~5-10 years)

This is fascinating to watch/read.
Something I've noticed is the lack of discussion on the differing levels of technology concerning metallurgy. Dwarves are the only civilization thus far to get far enough into steelworking, which when put up against lesser metals sends the survivability/kill potential much higher than if you were fighting with equal equipment. That's not even mentioning candy and/or what happens when a dwarf gets moody...

He would wind up invoking Godwin's Law of Time Travel, except with *shudder* elves.

WWUD if Beelzebub had a devil put aside for him?

Let's examine this in the traits we consider dwarfy: value, badass, and pointless/worthless.

In terms of raw value, adamantine is dwarfiest.
In terms of badassery, obsidian as it is the solidified form of the solution to every dwarven problem: magma.
In terms of complete and utter worthlessness: You have struck microcline! x784 The damn stuff's everywhere...

Hilarity usually ensues one way or another when you muck about in the raws without knowing what you're doing.

I can't remember where, but I remember seeing something along the lines of Urist getting stung in the hoof by the parakeet somewhere. I never was able to find an archive of various crimes against nature raws hilarity though.

"It was inevitable"
Girubev has been struck down!
[Couldn't resist :P]

Throw a tantrum for witnessing death and accidentally cause a loyalty cascade when he punches the fortress axelord in the face, bruising the skin.

WWUD if gorgons (think Medusa as a species) were implemented?
[somewhat interested in how that would work now...]

Spehss is correct. I've always entertained myself by thinking that fort mode artifacts are produced from a touch of our [the overseer's] madness rubbing off on a dwarf for better or worse.

That rabbit's dynamite!

It would seem that the game itself has beaten us to the punch before we could ask "How can we weaponize this?" The only thing we're missing now is a holy hand grenade.

Or we could go full aztec on those gobbos, they often dont wear full armor, so chippity-choppity on their limbs.

I second this notion.
Urist McJaguar Warrior has gone into a martial trance!

Besides, even if it fails, you can always fall back to magma.
In all seriousness, I feel that obsidian swords would make a decent weapon for civilian dwarves if when it hits the fan and you need emergency troops. Obsidian can be mass produced, so equipping a fort with masterwork obsidian swords shouldn't be too difficult.

Can I sig this or something?
[By all means.]

He would try to engage in extremely agressive racing, but due to the natural state of inebreation, somehow manage to screw up despite gravity being the only method of propulsion.

WWUD if he somehow wound up as a migrant for Glitterglen?

Urist McGhost: "So I heard the dwarves are about to sign a peace treaty with the elves..."

Urist McPasserby has been found dead with a terrified expression on his face. x42

WWUD if he killed a demon by hitting it's head off via warhammer and sending it down a rabbit hole, thus ending the siege and simultaneously inventing the game of golf?
