This might better be posted under the bugs tracker, but I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing (I did a search and nothing came up).

Well no. That quote has nothing whatsoever to do with programming, and absolutely everything to do with personality. It's not Toady saying collaborating with others would be inefficient, confusing or anything else like that, it's simply him saying he wants to work on his project alone.

Sorry, I can't think of a better way of putting it, really. He's an introverted guy, he wants to build the game for, and by, himself.

I'm liking the new big trees more than I was expecting to. They look the part, add quite a bit of depth to the upper z-levels, and birds smack into them.
... I understand some naysayers don't consider that last bit a feature.  :o
