DF Bug Reports / Re: [33g] Cave river waterfall kills all critters
« on: February 04, 2008, 12:01:00 am »
The Snakeman is no longer stunned.
The Snakeman has fallen into a deep chasm.

Replace snakeman with any creature that spawns in cave rivers, and that's what you always see when you go to a mountain tile in Adventure mode.

Im currently using the Release 80. It works fine.

It's the customize tab directly below that one. Click that, then the opengl icon. Then click the intellisample tab, and from there enable "override intellisample texture compression control" and choose "determined by application".</STRONG>

There's no other tab, only one.

Besides, I fixed the problem by using an older driver. Thanks for trying to help anyways.

Well it's the only thing that changed which could have caused it. No other programs were changed or installed that may have had any effect on Dwarf Fortress. Unless directX 9.0c did cause this, nothing else has.

I think my last resort is to completely disable the driver altogether, if that is at all possible. Is there a way to do this? If not, then maybe I could un-update to an older version which (somehow) worked fine.

Clicking this brings up a set of icons, one of them being an opengl icon. Click that and you'll get a new window for opengl configuration. Here, select the tab that reads "intellisample". What we're looking for is at the bottom of this window. Enable the selection box that reads "override intellisample texture compression". Where there's a drop down selector for "texture compression mode", choose "determined by application".</STRONG>

All there is under the customize tab is 4 icons, saying: "Low-Level refresh rate" "Low-Level desktop color schemes" "Graphics subsystem Diagnostic report" and "Reload display driver".

Im using vanilla graphics and tileset. Also, there is no "compatibility" setting anywhere, how do you mean?

Setting the individual settings to, well, anything, does not cause the game to work like it should. I set it like Glaughdram told me to, with the game still not working.

I suggest you install the program I linked to in my previous post, and scope the opengl settings. There is an option to "override intellisample texture compression control", and it must be set to "determined by application".</STRONG>

The application doesn't have anything that even remotely looks like it would be able to change my Driver settings. Am I not seeing something here, or what?

I've changed Texture Filtering- Quality to High Quality, with no change to the situation.

DF Bug Reports / Updated Driver for Geforce 6150 causes in-game graphics
« on: February 01, 2008, 12:33:00 am »
Specifically, this driver. After updating my driver (just an hour or so ago) the game's graphics are scrambled and make the game impossible to play.

This is what the game looks like for me:

Does anyone know how I am going to fix this, or, how to un-update my drivers to a version in which DF doesnt screw up?
