General Discussion / Re: Help stop Georgia from executing an innocent man

no i'm not. i would be for abolishing the death penalty even if we could find out who was guilty with 100% accuracy. the reason i posted this thread is to try and do a little to help a guy out

Yet you continue to argue that you're a good guy even though you honestly couldn't give any less of a damn about him. I'm all for activism (if it isn't just to push someone's misguided political agenda). Not this kind.

Honestly, I have less respect for pirates who delude themselves that wit and a cursory knowledge of copyright law puts them in the legal right, than I do for pirates who admit what they do is illegal and just flaunt the consequences.  It's not like it's hard.

Love you too Aq. I'm not a fan of law-eluders either. I'm a pirate and admit that it's a crime, while rather unpunished by the justice system, it still is.

i didn't really mean for this thread to turn into another one. even pro death penalty people like bob barr and the goddamn pope were trying to keep this guy from getting executed so i figured nobody would try to get into it here.

edit: what i'm saying here is sorry for the shitty thread guys  :-[

Seems to me that people like you are just using this man's situation as a visage to say that all death penalties should be abolished because of one ass-backwards state decision.

I'm sure that we had the anti/pro death penalty debate months ago.

After reading this, I'm actually convinced that RPGCodex's forums aren't filled with moron.

What does America need from the rest of the world?

Oil, food, electronics, automobiles, raw materials not found on the North American Continent..

It costs more to use the death penalty.  More trials, more jurors, sequestering the jurors, many, many appeals, there are a lot of factors that make the cost greater, and then add to all of those the fact that chances are, they'll never even get around to executing the guy.

That's mostly why I'm an advocate of a newly reformed Justice system, where currently the Guilty are in trial for tens of years and the innocent are killed in life setences.

The Judicial System is executing an innocent man for killing another member of the Judicial System, who happens to be named McPhail.

That horribly funny, right there.

It's a problem with the game that you went into a tunnel and expected to teleport out at any time? Am I reading this right?

All of these threads must be destroyed, for the good of Dwarfkind!

I agree, one of these every few months is alright, but two+ in a couple weeks is laying it on thick. Just go play one of the tens of RTD games that ruined the Nonsense forum instead of spamming for the sake of..

I can't think of a reason but the point stands.

Peace and love dudes,
...for those of you who are argueing for/against Fallout 3, remember, it just might not be your game.  If you want to bring back Fallout 2, please, by all means, get it out of your basement and play.  Mod the thing if you feel daring enough.  If you want to say that Bethesda isn't a good company, by all means, hug your Westwood and EA symbol plushies.  But please, don't be rude.

I tend to ignore most things people say on the internet, but how dare you even elude to that.

Tell me exactly who you think you are. I think you're doing the 'Oh I'm neutral but X is wrong because they're X oh yeah also I'm neutral.' crap that omath tried to pass off a while ago.

And I got another sharp reminder of my inept social skills today...  It's 9:43, and my dreamgirl is off making Jell-o somewhere.

With a guy she's been somewhat cozy with for a while.

Who's in her class.

Who can actually speak her language.

Who just got back from a trip to the theater with her and two other people.

Who happens to be my roommate.

Wait about Eight or so years, and you'll see who the victor is.

Man, I'm poetic.
