Forum Games and Roleplaying / Dungeons are Dangerous, BE CAREFUL
« on: November 02, 2015, 02:00:15 pm »
You are a dumb peasant who's also a wannabe adventure, and you are in the mouth of the Mad Dungeons. You see a Fire Sword at the end of a small land bridge, above a magma lake. It feels kinda hot here...

Do you want to enter?

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Want to run an RPG, but need help.
« on: October 16, 2015, 10:55:05 am »
Trying to run a Vampire RPG here, does anyone have Night's Black Agents? Kinda like the RPG version of Blade, you play as operatives trying to investigate and put down Vampire conspiracies. I like the look of the game, but it's kinda expensive, so if anyone here has the game and wants to give it a run, then I have the basic lore to run it, written down by Dwarmin.

Mafia / A Game of Masks: Who Wronged Who. (10/11)
« on: September 26, 2015, 12:22:44 am »
Accepting 11 Players.
(This is my first Mafia-esq Game, hopefully it goes well.)

You are all in a dark room, and a light shines above you. It shines to a wall of masks. You find a note. It says, "Pick a mask and wear it. What mask you pick determines your acts towards the other "players" of the game. Choose wisely. Afterwards, sit back down. Wait for further instructions."

The Masks each have a piece of white tape, with sharpy naming the masks above
The Bestial Man: An angry looking man, with mutton chops and fangs popping from the lips.
The Silent Man: A calm look, with a cloth covering the mouth
The Suave Man: A smiling man, with a big cigar hanging from the mouth and tightly shut eyes.
The Cold Man: An expressionless man
The Funny Man: A laughing man with clown makeup and a tear
The Strong Man: A no nonsense look and a big chin. Sports a cigar.
The Unstable Man: A crazed grin, with bloodshot eyes and facial cuts.
The Young Man. An annoyed teenager, waiting for things to be over with
The Macabre Man: A pale, sickly senior with veins shown through the skin
The Odd Man: A man the looks... off in an way, though it's hard to point it out.
The Empty Man: Completely lacks a face. Completely white.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / The New Manifest Destiny
« on: September 19, 2015, 10:12:18 pm »
Society has fallen a long time ago

WWIII begun on the Mayan End of the world, on December 21st, 2012. Every major nation fought the bloody war of Armageddon. China beat the USA to a bloody pulp as payment for it's debt, and conquered the lands of the Red, White, and Blue as interest. Russia began its conquest of Europe under their Putin head, and the ISIS tide clashed violently along the Jerusalem shores. The high and mighty 1% were brought down with broken knees, and the poor rats of the 99% ate their still breathing corpses. Tribal wars sprung anew in Africa, and water drowned the rest, as the ice caps melted, the recently freed waters claiming the land it once own, and the angry sun bat down on the land and heads still exposed. All climaxed in Nuclear Armageddon, with the radiation cleaning the rest of the filth, known as Humanity.

Roaches never truly go away

Remnants of Humanity were saved by the forward thought of broken governments. Huge Undercities were built, designed to hold hundreds of thousands of individuals in comfort, safety, and well-supply. However, millions poured into these cities like frightened arachnids, and the webs can hold only so many before breaking, no matter how strong they seem. The cities were enthralled in violence, various gangs fighting for limited resources for survival. In the end, many died, but few survived.

The scarred Earth is a living Hell

The radiation has turned the land nearly inhospitable, and the flora and fauna has become more hostile than ever. Rivers of lava flow in magma oases, toxic forests poison all who are not native, and robots gone mad have made massive cities of living steel, and the humans are deemed the most dangerous of all. The land is certainly dangerous, but as I said, MOSTLY inhospitable.

The Wastes are for the Taking

Those who lived in the Undercities have grown tough, and ambitious. They are in no way dissuaded by the horrors of this Brave New World! Onward they go! Like the Land Runs of Oklahoma, they rush out their claims, and build whole cities in days! Humanity will not be dissuaded, no! These were His lands before, and the new Manifest Destiny will make it so once More!

Your Part in this Story?

And as for you. You are a Champion, super humans, larger than life, one man armies. You are the hero, the villain, the front stage, and behind the scenes. You are the ones who will detail the new chapter of Humanity. As a Champion of the Wastes, your actions will steer Humanity to former glory, or extinction. You will go forward headstrong, and lead on your ideology and ideals. You lead Humanity through the new frontier, the New Manifest Destiny! The question is, what will be destination? The world is on your shoulders, will you break under the weight, or hold it high in the sky? It is ultimately for you to decide.

Write a piece of story based on the above line. To avoid being ninja'd, reserve the space you will use to write. You will have a day to write up your part.

In the Land of Milk and Honey, a little vinegar adds much needed Spice to the Good Life.

General Discussion / Trope question
« on: September 18, 2015, 09:12:09 pm »
What is the trope for preparing yourself for a danger coming.

Example: the survivors barricade themselves in a building and desperately scavenge for supplies, knowing that a horde of zombies is coming their way, because zombies go towards sound, and a gun was fired.

Roll To Dodge / A Bounty From the King- Minimalist-Unlimited players
« on: August 19, 2015, 11:24:09 am »
You live in a Stereotypica, a land like every single fantasy world you've ever seen. The king of the land has come to believe there is an evil force in the world, and has sent bounties across the land to rid his land of this unknown evil. You begin by coming across one of these bounties. What you do otherwise, is up to you.

Extremely simple, just a roll of a D6, standard gauge of Epic Fail to Overshot. I'll ask for co-GMs in the case that I feel too many people have come for me to successfully run. In that case, their word is law, according to the game.

Ignore

(For those interested in my Vampires game, this is pretty much the dumbed down version, so that I can get all the mechanics working for it.)

Powered by the Brutal Engine! Oh God Why!?!?

The story begins, with a half glass of water. Well, a discussion of one anyway. Well, an ARGUMENT... of one. One day, the great nations of Optimism and Pessimism came to the Mid-Line Dome to settle one question. The main question. The question which will change the course of history, forever. Is the glass of water half empty, or half full?

Idealists say " The glass must be half full, otherwise, what's the point of life without goals to get to and things to make better".

Pessimists say "The glass is half empty, otherwise, wouldn't bad things never happen, and the world be sunshine and rainbows all the time?"

And from this point, argument turned to insult, insult to slapping, slapping to punching, punching to skirmishes, and skirmishes to war. And in war, is where you come in, my fellow listener and reader. This is where you come to decide, finally. Is a Half-Glass of Water, Half-Full, or Half-Empty.

Let us begin, shall we?

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Keeper of The Tower (SG)
« on: August 08, 2015, 02:59:05 pm »
The bombardment of Fort Sumter signaled the beginning of the Civil War, and America was split in two. This sparked the beginning of the only war America fought against itself. Brother fought brother, father against son, and the preacher was torn apart by his own flock. This war brought much bloodshed and turmoil, and everyone felt its effects for generations to come.

Amongst this destruction, stood a lighthouse keeper. Split among the tides of war, and between earth and sea, he had no affiliation with the war, and did his job as he faithfully did, and as he will always do. His spire lies within the rocks, and is an impenetrable tower when the tides become angry. When the sea grows mischievous, no one enters, and no one leaves.

Now begs the question. Who is the Keeper, and what has brought him to be a servant to his tower, even to the death?

Rules for the game. Ignore the fluff in the book

You are a robot in a world long devoid of Human civilization. Your databases state the cause of this is unknown, and the humans that do exist have regressed far from their former status, and are far removed by time from their more sophisticated ancestors. This is of little relevance to you, however. You have a directive, a task of which you were built specifically for. You have not been in optimal condition, however, and you are beginning to malfunction. You see that those who malfunction are hopelessly irreparable, and they are a threat to those nearby. You therefore have given yourself one direct order to prevent malfunction. Don't Malfunction.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Vampires: Agents of the Apocalypse
« on: July 22, 2015, 03:13:19 pm »
“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”
― H.P. Lovecraft

One should learn to be afraid of the dark. Since the beginning of time, Vampires have owned it, and humanity is the cattle which the Vampire holds dominion over. Yes, the many live in ignorance, going on in their lives like all is dandy. This couldn't be further from the truth, however. They... have simply waited for the right time to act, and the time is nigh. Enjoy your last days, humanity, for soon, everything will go dark, and we will all die. The Agents of the Apocalypse... are here.
