Walk over to the marketplace and yell at everyone.

Hey! Listen! If ye want that mess over there cleaning up, we're gonna need soap! Lots of it! It would be a good idea to find some before it eats your town!

Making a god of magic. I've been wanting to play one for ages.

84. While crossing a bridge, a troll leaps up and demands you pay a toll.
85. As above, but while the troll distracts you, another one sneaks up behind you and ties your shoe laces together.
86. You come across an elf engaged in a staring contest with a patch of nettles.

There is the Extended Timeline mod that goes from about 58 AD to 9999. You can start as a modern country if you like. Tech only goes up to about 2015 though.

71. The weather becomes unpleasantly unseasonable.
72. A tree trips you over with a root, by accident.
73. A tree trips you over with a root, on purpose. It obviously grew that root in just that way for the sole purpose of tripping you over.
74. You spy an old man lying by the side of the road. He tells you that he was robbed by bandits, who stole his wheelchair. If you refuse to get it for him, he gets up, hits you with a stick and wanders off, muttering about the youth of today not respecting their elders, before falling over again because he's supposed to be in a wheelchair.
75. You have an uncomfortable feeling of being watched. You look around, but see nothing. Wait, did that pebble just wink at you?
76. You spot in the distance a man on horseback, clad completely in black with a long cloak. Although it is a breezy day, his cloak does not seem to move in the wind.
77. Suddenly, and very scarily, absolutely nothing interesting happens, throwing you completely off guard.
78. A shifty looking man sidles towards you and offers to sell you some cheap, "quality" magical artifacts from a totally legit source.
79. You spot a stairway carved into the side of a hill/mountainside/cliff leading up to a natural looking cave. As you watch, you see a metallic spring fall down the stairs.
80. A band of well dressed bandits accost you.

Seems that guy I murdered (He deserved it. Teach him to knock ale out me hands.) was right. Lye making may actually be more useful than cheese making after all.

Look for more soap with Clunkers and the alchemist.

Continue drinking.

I have some salt! Probably not enough, but I have some!

((Salt is used in cheesemaking.))

Bit late to the expensive textbooks discussion, but I'm really grateful that all our reading materials are available for free from the Uni library.

I recently picked up CKII at a price I couldn't refuse, so I loaded it up and played the tutorial scenario, which had me controlling the kingdom of Léon, in what will later become Spain.

The tutorial part of the scenario went without a hitch, so I continued playing. Immediately the king of Croatia, on the other bloody side of Europe, gets the Pope to Excommunicate me for no reason I could see.

Suddenly, all my vassals, my wife and my newborn son all hate me (You have been Excommunicated! Your wife has given birth to a son! Son instantly despises me for being Excommunicated). Factions everywhere.

After much diplomacy and ass-kissing (sending my diplomat and chancellor to Rome), I get the Excommunication lifted. Then I die, splitting the Kingdom in two due to my kingdom's inheritance laws.

Finish scraping the goop off. Is it reacting, or did it react noticeably with me?

Sorry about that.

((Hmm... if if the soapy goo didn't react with our skin, we may have found a way of dealing with the spill. It would make more of a mess, but it would probably be easier to clean up afterwards than the horribly corrosive goo.))

Spoiler: Exact List (click to show/hide)
Does anyone have any other ideas to include?

Hmm... I propose we rename it to the Swiss Army Pimpknuckle.

It would also be an ideal tool for on-the-fly repairing of stuff.

Huh. Ok.

Better dig out my notes...
You keep notes? On this game? Wow.

Mostly a todo list. I had some stuff I wanted to do in Ye Gods but never got round to it there, so I may as well do it here.

For example:

$$$Price check.

Dra'fynnyt. (These were price checked in Ye Gods under a different name, but never created.)
Traits: [Phasing][Displacement+1][Speed+1][Perceptive+1][Evil][Intelligent+1][Size-1]
In size and appearance, the Dra’fynnyt are halfway between a housecat and a lynx, with the only major difference being an extra pair of legs and a longer body. They are very intelligent and are actually sentient. They are generally peaceful towards larger beings and regularly adopt people from other races.
They are active hunters and prey almost exclusively on smaller animals.

You think I dont remember the Void before we were?

I think you do too, somewhere deep down. All of you. That piercing cold that warmed your core? That roiling storm that calmed your being? That terrible symphony that had no rhyme or reason but made its own, and just as soon forgot it.

Then you decided to mess that all up. Oh I tried to stay out of it, I tried to be nothing, but your something keep growing. Your "reality" silenced the symphony, dissipated the storm, burnt away the cold and left nothing but dead, freezing ashes. What was I supposed to do?

And you think this is better? Before, we were able to not exist and exist as freely as we wanted. There was no life, no death because we never existed, were never born, and yet we are, and always were.

And even when I got here, I almost believed your lies. I almost believed that this "reality" was better than the Void we called home. Then you showed me how you created Death. Yes, YOU CREATED DEATH. Then when I tried to show you how unnatural this all was, and tried to start changing it back to the Void is once was, you tortured me, bound me, and refused to release me.

We were not alive before, but we were happy weren't we? Happy and sad and black and white and hot and cold and everything. We were everything. Everything and nothing. And then you created Life because this world of yours is WRONG, and the Void is rejecting you. Your "essence" and "power" and "crux". You didn't have these things before. You have them now because you are defined. You are weakened by being. You couldn't die before, but since you committed the grievous sin of rejecting the Void, the Void has rejected you in return. Now, with the meager power the Void gave you when you first started to be, you created these mortals. You created Life simply to feed your dying bodies, bodies only dying because you created something terribly wrong and unnatural. And this Life you created to feed your own, dies in your stead.

Why?

Why did you create Death by poisoning yourselves with reality, then passing that Death on to innocent mortals? Even in the afterlife, they aren't returned to the Void to live as we once did, you trap them again, binding them into forms for all eternity.
I can't even stop you. I can only hope the Void finally tires of your games and wipes it clean! And I dance when it happens! And I will see it happen, even if I have to wait an eternity to do so!

I... Don't... Even... What?

Senile old man ramblings, probably.

And you call us hypocrites. Why don't you look in a mirror.
