Alien Assault
Space Hulk, resigned.
Just switch the controls to arrows or turn off timed turns

Fffffff download link is broken.

Spelunky doesn't use a mouse.
Ehhh, tried it a while ago but wasn't fantastically fond of it.

95% of Roguelikes do not require a mouse at all. If you're looking for any specific genres, I will likely be able to point you at them.
Yeah, but if I wanted to find a Roguelike I'd be looking on my Hard Drive instead of on the Internet. <_<
As for genre... strategy is good. Turn-based especially, but something not-terribly-APM-heavy and real-time that isn't the terrifying and intimidating game AI War would be fine too. Uhh... puzzle games less favored, no racing or sports unless it's something SuperOMGmazing... yeah, I dunno. I figure I'd just raid jayisgames.com if I had anything more specific in mind. <_<

Other Games / Request: games (preferably free) with few or no mouse demands
« on: September 25, 2011, 07:37:19 pm »
So my mouse's USB "Connect to the fucking computer" implement has broken and I now have for mouse movement:
A trackpad
A tablet

And as much fun as going down to FG&R to run The King is Dead! and Woman of Ambition in all my free (once-used-for-gaming) time, I'm interested in what games I still have available, and I've decided now seems to be a fine time to explore no-/low-mouse-use options.

Flash games and downloaded are both fine, and things that don't need a mouse that's moving around quickly but do need a mouse are fine (e.g. X-COM would be okay, any FPS less okay).

So, suggestions?

I like to think that the characters have been around each other for some substantial period of SS13's operation.

Thus, everyone knows exactly what a bunch of fuckups everyone else is.

First thing I do pretty much always is procure a gasmask, two air tanks, and a tool belt with full set of breaking and entering equipment.

I think this says more about my general playstyle than my desire to metagame. <_<

However, the fact remains that if you don't have at least a crowbar and a screwdriver, you're utterly fucked when things start going pear-shaped.

... This game is going to suck.

Classy.

Let's try to start small right now:

Use inject on a pen to make it teleport to your hand on command, then again to make it never run out of ink, then again to make it shoot lasers as well as write.
This, but lasers probably wouldn't make the best weapon. Perhaps an invisible, (generally) intangible, soundless projectile that passes through anything other than its desired target?

Well, I'll probably sleep and process a turn when I wake tomorrow morning afternoon, so decide by then. :3

No, no, not that.

Finish washing the taste out and ask how many people actually did throw themselves overboard from it in our best deadpan. Then ready up for round 2 of the soup since we're still hungry.

Well, on the plus side it's an attempt to redirect aggression towards an existing group.

On the minus side, [REDACTED] from Scandinavia are [REDACTED].

Hell if I know what you guys are planning, but apparently you all decided this was the fastest way to get an army.

"Nobody has ever found the Amazon homeland," you caution. But... provide me with money, men, and equipment, and I will hunt down my captor and interrogate her while your other soldiers scour the countryside and prepare. Then, we can strike."

"Yesss..." the Duke answers, his beard stroking itself. "Yes, that could work. Very well! Bring the Crown Prince a scone, a hammer, and a fishing rod!" he commands.

Looks like that Disturb you used on him is still in effect, you conclude, as a guard brings the requested items.

The guard ushers you out, informs you that a room has been prepared for you, the soldiers assigned to you will be ready by morning, and what the hell did you do to the Duke.
