I recently saw a Human hamlet named Drunkenprank. I can just see their tourism board slogan:

"What happens in Drunkenprank, stays in Drunkenprank WAS JUST A JOKE OKAY GEEZ GET OVER YOURSELF"

Tod: Some place called, gee I dunno Urist. I think it has the word prank in it.

Tod: either a fart bomb, or the goblins finally invented seige engines 5 million 4 hundred thousand and 14 dwarfverses after we did it

in the neighbors screen, they have a yellow NO TRADE next to the HIVEMIND WASPS

And the swarves just came and destroyed me. I only had one soldier in the 2 migrant waves the broodmother gave me. I assigned 9 other useless wasps and gave them the emu bone scale armour i made. It didnt go down well vs dwarven bismuth bronze

testing now.

They still dont have access to pets

They don't have quivers
or leather
and they can't make hives

And they have the yellow NOTRADE on neighbors screen

and they cant use the wood pulper because that requires smooth logs

They need nest boxes to breed some animals

And the wagon bursts into fire upon embark... which happenned to only burn down about 1/10th of the total trees

Can the cave swallow fly? If so, that may be the problem. Try assigning another, different hunting animal to him.
This is the EXACT reason i dont use hunters, i draft them into the military as marsdwarves and tell them to go and shoot something when i need it dead.

what stinger? when i took the raws there was no stinger in the wasps. i put the vanilla one, but it may pierce through iron too, for all i know. iron armor sucks in dwarf fortress...

Agreed.
It's actually not that hard to turn into steel, just bring 100 or so bituminious coal on embark (You may also want to embark on a volcano XD).
Seriously, coal is 3 dwarfbucks.

and when you play masterwork, you have so many options for decent armor you don't even have to have flux nearby... i play for over two years and i can't remember one occasion where i used iron as anything other than supplement for proper armor
Like in orc fortress. Those wolfram polehammers kick ass.

Anyway back on topic now, I was thinking an uncoated stinger should be able to go through bronze armour

Hey meph.

I've never tried kobolds, had a hard time with all my warlock forts so far... even using dfhack, I've never played hermit, played succubis for about ten minutes before my computer overheated. I liked it but haven't found the time to return. For some reason, the dwarves give me the most FPS over any other race.
The only time I played as gnomes I didnt even realise it. It was my first time playing MDF and it turned out rather badly.
The orcs are my favourite by far.

First off, this question has been answered many times.


Second: are you sure you have quivers? make an extra few anyway.
Lastly: In the military screen, hit (f) for ammunition, and then assign bolts for crossbows, arrows for bows, etc and raise the number of permitted ammo with +

Is there a way to make a land mine the causes the invaders to be come trapped/caged so you can transform them?
Might be a similar thing to the goblin net-shooters, I like the idea.
or maybe one that send spikes that have wasp paralyzing poison + injects with egg.

I just thought of a way to have infection. Instead of a paralysis syndrome, the infected minster turns into a "caged animal"with the cage made of "paralysis"
Then the animal transforms into a wasp after a year
