« on: April 23, 2017, 12:45:21 pm »So I started a game as a hive mind race, just to try it out. Made them powerful warriors that could hopefully just steamroll whatever they encounter, and purely for flavor's sake edited their files so that they have Tomb World preference.
Start the game, begin to explore my home system...and then I get a message from another race. A Fallen Empire of the Holy Guardian flavor. They're already pissed at me for daring to evolve on a world they consider holy. Oh, and they're maybe five hyperspace jumps away from me.
How totally screwed am I?

« on: April 14, 2017, 05:26:34 pm »I wonder what was the design reason for having the Sentinels awake to the organic extra-galactic invaders, but do totally nothing against the energy-being extra-universal ones. It's not like they're harder or anything, from what I've seen.
I'm barely awake so I may not remember it right, but aren't Sentinels following the organic invaders into the galaxy, or specifically trained to fight them?

If we need to train the militia, then I suggest have them simulate combat against our ADVENT peacekeepers. If we have some sort of ammunition that will not harm whoever is shot with it or other such equipment, we can give them "live" combat training by having them engage in mock battles against our actually competent troopers.
Do this at a squadron level. One militia squadron trained at a time. When a squadron is deemed acceptable, have them do the same with one of the others.

Command and Conquer 4.
Drops pretty much the entire series' story line, throws in a wife then never does anything with her but cry over your main character, removes base building and resource management while also adding in a 50 unit cap(where tanks are 8+ points for the cap) and makes it into a rock paper scissors game.
I'm still salty.

All my relatives are dead or i dont know them. its the middle of winter and i dont know anywhere i can go or do
this has become a lot more common than it used o be
he was yelling at me before doing anything so i was able to grab his neck. im little and frail so i cant do anythiung to him unless i can get a weapon or something.i think he just stopped because my mom came out to see why i was screaming and he didnt want to give her a heart attack

My dad threatened to throw me out of the house for asking my mom not to demean and insult me, and I had to threaten to choke him so he wouldn't slam my head against a table when he grabbed and tossed me from one side of the room to antohr. I don't have anyone to talk to aboiut this so im just putting this here.You are capable of subduing him should you need to, right? "Had to threaten to choke him" kind of implies that to me, but him tossing you from one side to the other sort of... counter-implies it. Which is it? It seems kind of important.

If your ideology is different and your dominions havent done their stay with/leave focus, they will almost always leave the commonwealth if you're not the same ideology. Otherwise, they stay. There's no automatic 'get out of my house' for puppets.
Puppets always join your faction afaik

My teacher told me to come in today for a presentation or he would fail me. I come in despite having what I'm pretty sure is a sore throats and flu , and he changes the date for me to present to tommorow. And my school doesn't let sick students come out he next day, so I'll have to risk suspension not to fail my class. I've also been sitting in the office waiting for the nurse to get to me for 20 minute while she gossips to a friend instead of checking me
