DF Gameplay Questions / Trade issue.

I decided to play DF again today after half a year and noticed something strange today:

Is it true that traders can carry a lot less stuff? I couldnt sell more then 30 mugs before they started complaining "i would love to take that but my animals...". Both humans, elves and dwarf caravans complained about this. I remember that back in the day this was never a problem for me, selling 100 mugs was no problemo (6 months back that is)

is this a new feature or just bad luck for me with this fort? If so, what influences the max carry weight merchants have? And can i encourage them brining more "carry animals"?

DF Gameplay Questions / No caravan, still migrants.

Hello DF community i have a question.

For almost 2 years now i havent got a single human/dwarven caravan at my fortress. At first i thought they both went extinct due to the fact i didnt receive any migrants neither. When i looked at the civilization screen i saw this:



The Human civilisation only shows 1 fishworker and no important people, the dwarven civilisation (Who is my parent civ i believe) however still shows a baroness and quite some others as well.
The elves are still alive and come along every year, so my fortress is reachable.

But now the weird part, I received migrants last year, still no caravan but the migrants are still coming.

Anyone knows what is going on?
