Do the Adepta Sororitas have too many morale boosters in their army? They've got the Imagifiers, the Dialogi, the Preachers, and the Dogmatas. That's a lot of people speaking, praying, and singing loudly to get you pumped up.

What does a Prime Hermeticon do?

Absent any specific fluff I assume they administrate the lower ranking Magos of the Mechanicus and assign them tasks in pursuit of the Hermeticon's plans and projects, or the greater goals of the Mechanicus as a whole.

They're the highest ranking of the Magos, so it seems reasonable to assume they govern over the others when they aren't busy working in their preferred field.
I know what you're referring to with "highest ranking of the Magos" but I don't think that's correct. I think it's some kind of specific speciality, like how Magi Biologis specialise in the study of biology or how necromechanics focus on repairing the vehicles and personnel of the Mechanicus.

Codex Adeptus Mechanicus has this for the Prime Hermeticon Warlord trait:
Quote
Let none doubt the cold and logistical hatred of the Machine God and its power to invigorate the faithful.

Friendly <FORGE WORLD> INFANTRY units within 6" of your Warlord can re-roll failed hit rolls in the Fight phase.

There's also the Prime Hermeticon in Mechanicus, who gives you missions to hunt down bosses (while being rather enthusiastic about it) and after beating one of them says that cleaning up the normal forces afterwards are outside what a Prime Hermeticon cares about.

I guess their job is to make people more enthusiastic about violence?

What if the demon uses a metric system stick?

Sorry we only use the    IMPERIAL system here.
Imperium uses the metric system. Cain's regiment uses "kloms" as slang for kilometres.

Damn it I was so close. So close to victory. Just needed to pass one more die roll. That was a great climactic battle between me and Kot though, and I'm glad I at least won that. And the country of Arstotzka is technically back.

Well, good game. Glory to Arstotzka. Forever glory to Arstotzka.

What is Psychic Awakening?

Isn't this thread for WH40K discussion?
Also for Fantasy and Age of Sigmar, because threads for those two properties don't exist and discussion is too small to bother making threads for them anyway. This thread itself doesn't get that much attention so it's certainly got the room.

Heard that Age of Sigmar is pretty decent now lore-wise. Any highlights?

The Eldar were at their height at the time, I think. It would've been a piece of cake if they could spare time from all the hedonism and debauchery.

Where's this lore from, anyway? Would like to read for myself.
Apparently it's in one of the War of the Beast novels. Here's the quote I found on the subject.
Quote
Goes millions of years with the Eldar as the top life form--and some of the more recent lore has it suggested that the Eldar at their height sort of made a point of culling other races that rose above a certain height and forcing them into a convienent little nature preserve so they could enslave or otherwise abuse for their own edification (The method they used against the humans being the Men of Iron Rebellion, as is all but admitted to during one of the War of the Beast novels)

11
The Men of Iron were probably not Chaos-tainted. They rebelled on their own.
New canon all but confirms that it was actually the eldar.

What's the difference between a slab shield and a brute shield? One gives a 2+ armour save and the other a 4+ invulnerable save, but no indication of what the actual in-universe difference is.

13
What is the advantage of being Questor Imperialis over being Questor Mechanicus? As I understand it, Mechanicus knights generally get access to more advanced technology, which is a definite pro. As far as I know though, Imperialis knights don't get any advantage from their allegiance.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
What is he holding in his right hand?

A laser pistol stolen from the annals of Fallout.
Pistol 1 S5 AP-2 2 D
I'm skeptical. I've found what it looks like from the side.

I'm pretty sure that amasec is supposed to be wine.
