I'd like to give it a try, but I'll wait before I actually jump onto the turn order. Gotta get used to the game again so I don't break anything here  :P

I'm not sure that's the greatest idea right now. We've only got the one site, any new ones we make nearby will inherit the stressed dwarves without any of the facilities and amenities to deal with them. That being said, we could make one with a pop cap so that it only accepts the void-born dwarfs from the first two migrant waves (if that's still how this game works).

Dorf me as a jeweler, pls!

I don't want to carry the story over from one Museum to the next. I want a fresh slate. Other people deserve to be the legends this time.
I doubt anyone would disagree with this, Orid Xem has had almost four years worth of storytelling (anniversary tomorrow!) so it is time to put it to rest so we can break the limits of the new version! I sure do hope that the villains system is more fleshed out, and the world is more alive post-generation, otherwise I feel like we're going to get a lot of the same characters but different only in name.

All that being said, could I be added to the turn list again, Bralbaard? I'm thinking of bringing Yawo Rainstir back from his century of meditation.

If we do a fourth museum, how would y'all feel about editing the immortality off of elves and goblins (or just goblins), and making goblins actually have to eat and drink? Their immortality kinda bugs me, and it'd probably help with the massive overpopulation issues.

Also, we might want to wait a few months so Toady and Putnam can iron out some of the new bugs from the new version of Adventure Mode.

that patch for vampires hiding properly is pretty funny given that's mostly a premium sided bug, the classic side didn't have that pigment issue with vampires.
though I do ponder what this patch do to make vampires more hidden for the classical port of this game?
Maybe they're wearing makeup?

Tonnot98 is dead. Long live Tonnot99!

Human died in process, but should not sleep in capture chamber. Plus name was Dof Pantsmortals, means that Dof sacrifices life for pants production willingly.
Premium quality fireproof Eelsucker, Snot of Spit kinglet brute silk clothes.
This has been a hilarious turn so far! Anyway, I'm sure my dwarf appreciates the extra gems to work on.

A nice attempt with the cistern! Even if it didn't work out completely, at least you fished that artifact crossbow out of the stream. Also for digging out the last bit inside the cistern, you could've constructed some wooden stairs or ramps to act as scaffolds.

I'm not sure those children are going to be any more manageable when they're eighteen; the captain of the guard might just beat them to death after their first trauma-induced adult tantrum.

brilliant. the aliasing on the lines is perhaps the funniest part to me. and the section labeled 'body parts' as if, instead of walls or floors, we have some kind of SCP contained in our entry stairwell.

wait, is our third cavern that open and gigantic??
No the cavern's not that open, but it is flooded. There's not a whole bunch of space that isn't taken up by walls or water, but the water does make a convenient place to dump the magma from the obsidian pillars.

Add me again, I just hope my dwarf can live until my turn since his workshop's a bit uncomfortably close to the caverns.

Oh dear, I knew I should've been more proactive about those memorials!

(How much space is a 1x1 micro-fort these days?)  Something like the Epyc 7373X, which has the highest *steady state* clock rate of the 768 MB L3 chips, would only set you back around $4k.
Savegame memory is heavily dependent on world size and history length. The Irritan Anam succession game is a med world with 100 years of pregen history and 7 years of fortress play, and it's only 141MB. The Museum III generated 1000 years with a very large world, and by turn 78 (the one I have on hand) it has gone through a few extra centuries of multiple fortresses and adventurers. It's 766MB, just under the max load of that L3 chip.

admirable attempt to control the flying pest issue. who knew a giant fly might be such a paralyzing nuisance?
I must've killed like 3 or 4 full swarms. DFwiki puts their pop at 5:20 so maybe soon we'll have made them extinct. But then there's always normal agitated birds that could do the same... I'm afraid we won't be free from this curse for a while.
