DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / How can I get dwarves to marry?
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:31:28 pm »
I really need married couples, but my dwarves don't want no lovin'!

32
My brother would like to know if you could post your save. It would be cool to look around it.

33
I would suggest firstly ensuring that he actually isn't wearing it, with his inventory screen in the actual DF window. Next, try wearing it by replacing clothing. Next, make sure that he isn't wearing another right gauntlet already. Finally, try assigning a left gauntlet as well.

34
OK, never mind, Dwarf Therapist seems to count him as not wearing it when he is.

35
I have a lovely cave crocodile bone right gauntlet, but he will not pick it up! Why is this?

Discovered that, yes, Greatrivers the pig bone sword isn't useful. However, my expedition leader seems to like it as a symbol of his office.

Hi, I'm Illogical_McClure. You may remember me from two mods that stopped development and a stopped community fort, but don't worry, I intend to do something about them.

Now, I suddenly have a pig bone artifact sword, somehow. Is it worth going instead for a steel sword, which is of better material, but not artifact?

Well, that's probably a large factor in it, but when I say the older gentlemen, I mean a very specific look. Larger, big gray beard, perhaps even stereotypically biker looking?

Perhaps it's a popular look among gay people of that age. It may just be the fashion. I could be entirely wrong though. When I try to think of "older gay gentlemen" (not something I do on a regular basis I assure you), the mental image I have is of some elderly family friends who were clean shaven and wore thick real-wool jumpers and drank a lot of red wine. I don't know if guys like that are that common these days - perhaps as fashions changed they have been replaced with polar bears like other youth subcultures among men have been replaced with hipsters and beardsmen and such.
Heh, my uncle is clean-shaven and wears thick jumpers. And, apparently, he is gay.

Your avatar's dance is not dissimilar to that of a foul, diseased ape engaged in a lewd mating dance.

A "your mother" insult? My good sir, you debase this very thread! Leave, before I am forced to resort to fisticuffs!

Reason:(State your Reason for disowning the worship of higher beings)
Reason:A better life, it said. flocks of women at my throng, it clammered. Now I am stuck in this god forsaken hole in the ground with these. . . . old hags, clawing at my knees. Well, forget him. forget them all. Leaving me stuck here as a prostitute. I will never work for another anything again. . . . . they are a load of lying leghearts.
Yikes, I'd probably disown the worship of higher beings if I had to go through that - and I actually believe in them!
