You decide to sing something from your old world. When you do music begins to flood your mind. You remember some hymns that your church used to sing. You remember how you used to play the piano for 2 hours every day in high school. You remember how the old piano you used then had discolored keys. It was a used piano but your younger brother had decided it would be funny to make every C and G note on the piano green. You tried scrubbing it off but it stayed there.  You wanted to be able to play the organ someday. Unfortunately, you suspect that tents are unlikely to hide a pipe organ. You even remember the basics of how to read sheet music. You remember one of the songs that you used to sing for choir. You begin trying to sing the base part of "Blow blow thou winter wind". You have a hard time trying to pronounce the words and they come out of your voice wrong. The pitch is off too. You try to sing too low for throat without really think about it. You stop singing as soon as you begin to feel your throat hurt. fortunately, before you damaged your voice. You realize that you will probably have to adjust most of the songs you know if you want them to sound good with your current voice. Also, It is more difficult to sing while lying on your belly. At least no one seems to have noticed your horrible singing attempt. You think you sounded like a dying crocodile.
(Basic Music Literacy added. Unfamiliar Voice disadvantage added.)

You remember some of the times you would read with your youngest brother. The last thing you remember reading him was when you were home some time during your sophomore year. You read a biography about William Penn to your 10-year old little brother. It took you a week and a half to finish it with him. You would sit next to each other on his bed, and you usually would have to stop a few times because you accidentally sat on a toy. Then your little brother would clean them up while you continued to read more of William Penn's life. One of the more funny things you remember as when a judge put the jury in prison for contempt of court because they did not give the verdict he wanted. Then you start to wonder if they even have juries here at all. You were used to many liberties that may be completely foreign to these people.

In the darkest part of the room, you peer. You see the giant woman. She is carrying a basket full of something that you can not make out. You see her carry it to a corner where you see her take a shiny object out of her chest pouch and a round object from the basket. You see her move the shiny object across the round object. There are a few other objects there as well. When you listen closely you manage to make out her grumbling something about "carrota radices".

You hear a horn blare three blasts. One long sound, two short sounds. Then voices seem to come from most directions. You make out a word spoken frequently in the clamor with urgent stress. “Cito” you believe it means quick, fast, or something similar. You quickly see the giant woman approach you while carrying a cubic basket. She places you in the basket.

The basket sways as she carries you in it quickly. She pauses briefly to push up a flap. She heads through a room with another rug on the ground several baskets piled up. Then she undoes some buttons on one of the cloth walls. Suddenly things are much brighter. You see two bright twin suns in the sky and avert your eyes. Then the giant woman pauses again to pick up a piece of cloth that she puts over the top of the basket. The piece of cloth is soft and scratchy and helps keep the sun from hurting your eyes.

Sense roll 74

Fortunately, you can still see out from under the cloth. The camp is huge. You don't know how many tents there are dotting the area but there seems to be a lot of them. Most of them appear to be brown or grey although some are striped or spotted. You see many people scurrying about taking down tents and placing them onto what looks like donkeys or mules.

Musing roll: 42

You are sure that your home is changing now. You wonder whether these people are nomads or if they just move seasonally. The fact that they live in tents makes it seem more likely they are nomads. But, perhaps they only live in tents during the summer and have winter housing somewhere else. You also wonder why you have been mostly left alone since you have been born. The main interaction you have had with others is when you are fed. Although, maybe the giant woman is too busy cutting up food to do much else. At least you think that the shiny object she has is a knife. But you could be wrong. Why would someone cut something in the dark. From what you remember from your past life you don't think that was normal then. Also, you wonder why the woman who nurses you is not your mother. Does your mother not love you? Or maybe you were adopted by the giant woman. Or perhaps she is a hired nursemaid. Or even a slave. That is a bit troubling. How would you know if slavery exists in this new world? You start to worry until you start noticing the amazing things around you.

You even notice a few Giant Beatles when you hear a loud grunting sound which are pulling large carts in teams. The basket continues to sway as you are carried in it. You are placed onto a clip atop a donkey. From your current position you can see people carrying things out of your tent in baskets bags and placing them upon clips on donkeys all around. You also see a few children carrying baskets. They all seemed to be wearing ponytails or the top of their head is shaved and the side of their heads are middle length. All this excitement and ruckus and moving things has worn you out. And the blanket that surrounds you in the basket it so comfy. You drift off to sleep.

You have been reincarnated to another world as an infant: Chapter 2, moonstone and politics
Spoiler: Winning options (click to show/hide)

You feel inquisitive. You wonder what this place is like and how you got here. You are somewhat excited to see what there is to explore here.

Movement roll:87
You try to move forward a little bit more than last time and easily move forward half a dozen handbreadths. You decide to a little more because you did that so easily. When you finished you realized that you moved as far forward as you are long without exhausting yourself. Yay!
Sense roll: 93
Soon after was the giant woman comes to nurse you. You look at her face and notice that she has a large hooked nose. Her ears are large and splay out to the side. She has brown hair that goes down to her shoulders. But the sides of her head have been shaved since you last saw her. Her skin is pale. She has a large red patch on her left shoulder that looks irritated. Her clothes are brown and seem to have four pieces. A torso wrap, Trousers, a cloak, and a large grass pouch on her chest. She has a necklace that holds a single white stone. The stone is cut in the shape of a moon.

Language roll: 72
After the woman nurses you, she says a few words and sets you down. You make out 2 words that you don't recognize "cessabit" and "quiescis". You think they both refer to you but are unsure what they mean.  But you missed her words because you were looking at the woman's face and hair so intently.

Events Roll: 97
Energy Roll: 39-20 = 19
Sleep Roll: 58
When you try to think of objects at first it started easy. Then it began to become more difficult. The first thing you thought of was your desk in your dorm room. You remember the faux wood grain surface. The usual items placed upon it were a hand pencil sharpener, your computer, and trivet for your hot tea in the morning. Behind your desk stood the dreary yellow-painted cinderblock walls with 4 outlets and an ethernet jack for your computer. Your bed was usually neatly made every morning with bright blue bedsheets. Your chair as built to be able to rock, but it had no cushion. Back then you wished the university would allow you to bring your own furniture into your room. Then you could have had a more comfy chair.
When you try to think of any other objects your mind comes back to the same objects in your dorm room. But, then your mind shifts. You were sitting at your desk. You were struggling over some of your homework for the second semester of your sophomore year. Your EPM book is pulled up on your computer and the lecture notes lie open upon before you on the desk. You are trying to come up with a group contract for your EPM project. It has very specific requirements and was due tomorrow afternoon. You really found the professor annoying because he seemed to never stop bragging about how he used to be an astronaut. You agree with him that making sure that expectations are clear between working together on a project is important. But, that does not stop it from being annoying. You were having trouble focusing because you kept worrying about how much work you had to do. It took you two times longer than it should have because of your lack of focus. When you finished it you emailed it to your teammates to review and checked your favorite quests. At some point, you fell asleep. Then you walked around and started talking to your floor senator Gerald. The two of you were great friends and often talked till 2 or 4 am. in the morning about politics and religion over games of chess or checkers. The conversation quickly moves between over 10 different topics yet seems to drag on at the same time. The only one you remember was your discussion about what a world ruled by an all-powerful God with the intelligence of an 8-year-old would be like. Time fast, and time slow. Chess pieces dance around you and mock you for lack of skill at the game. When you try to respond the only thing that comes out is cries. Suddenly, You are lying on a brown mat and when you try to say something only a cry comes out. You realized that despite your efforts to stay awake as long as possible you eventually succumbed to sleep.

What do you want to focus on? What do you want to think about? You realize that you are going to have to spend more time sleeping than you were earlier. (Please choose up to 3. The rest of your focus is being spent on sleep now. You may not actually do all of them, but you will try all the actions you choose. You usually will be able to do all of them unless you are doing strenuous actions.)

OOC. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Also, the formatting did not come out as well as I wanted to. But just decide to post it when I realized I spent twice as much time on formatting it as I did writing it. I will probably post it to the other form in a few hours because for some reason the formatting comes out different on SV even though they both use BBCode.
Edit: I realized I put the auto on the wrong action. So I fixed it.

You have been reincarnated to another world as an infant:

Your name was Charles Stewart. But now it has changed. You died. The memory of the event evades your grasp.  You first woke surprised to see light. Your eyes squinted and you could hardly see. Your cry of surprise sounded across the entire area.  Many people heard your piercing scream. You were swiftly deposited into the arms of a huge woman who looks down at you. You could not make out anything about her your vision swam together. You looked at the blurred colors of your mother’s face and clothes. You heard her soft voice as she proclaimed a single word. “Ignis”

You nursed before sleep claimed your fragile body. You awoke several times upon a huge fluffy rug. When you cried it took a little while, but a huge woman came after a minute or two and nursed you. It was difficult for you to stay awake, so you rested your head and slept again and again. The time you were awake seems short. But after over a couple of dozen times of this happening. You finally were able to stay awake long enough to do anything.

Now, you attempt to move but you only manage to wiggle a handbreadth. This happens several times before you notice that the mat you rest on is brown. Now you are less tired, and you recently managed to move four handbreadths before falling asleep. The next time you awake, you realize you have the time to think. So, you think about what you feel and what you want to do.

     What do you feel?

Spoiler: Feelings (click to show/hide)

In the wake of your emotions, you think about what you should focus on? What do you think is important right now (Please choose up to 6. You may not actually do all of them, but you will try all the actions you choose.)

You think about the words said around you. The word you hear most is “Ignis”. It was said with a hissing sound that is like a shushing sound. You don’t know if it means the same thing for them. Once, the huge woman drew out her vowels and changed her tone and rhythm of speaking. You think she was singing, but you could not tell what the words were. You do not remember her speaking any other words more than once. How do you want to approach language? (Please rank in order of preference-. You only need to give your top 2 picks.)

OOC. I am rebooting Infant tale with the same first post. Anything in the turn-based strategy genre? I've put some time into Wesnoth recently.
I love Wesnoth, It is one of my favorite games. I have put nearly a thousand hours into that game. The War of the Gods era and ageless Era are great for multiplayer.
For other games:
Age of Wonders 3 is a great turn based game. For individual battles you zoom in and control each individual unit in a turn based mini game that is well put together. On the World map it plays sort of like civilization but with magic. You have hero units which level up and can be customize. It has a pretty good campaign mode too.
Good graphics, great gameplay, Good multiplayer, and a decent story.

Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 are pretty good. They have a great plot and realy interesting gameplay nd framing. Valkyria Chronicles 2 only real selling point for me is the multiplayer. But unless you know other people who also like the game it is not well set up.

Warbands: Bushido is a pretty good free turn based strategy game on steam. It has no real plot, but it plays well. Each unit has it's own place in the turn order. You can move attack and use a card to boost some aspect. I usually prefer wesnoth. But, sometime I just feel like playing this game instead.

Begin to sweat profusely on the upper body. Flood the body with Corticotropes(make the body stressed). Also put a moderate amount of growth hormones into the body.

Assume Control of the bodies glands and kidneys. Start flooding the body with adreneline for no reason.

Please allow singing poetry recital, and storytelling while moving. I think it would be amazing to be able to sing while marching through town or tell a story of a previous battle while in the middle of a fight.

43
Please allow saving equipment list and skill choices in adventure mode. I really enjoy having the ability to customize starting equipment in adventure mode. However I can easily spend a good 5 or 6 hours outfitting a party. If there was an option to save templates in adventure like in the fortress mode embark sequence then I would enjoy it.

44
Is there any way to determine the avg. Attributes for adventure mode races? In particular I am interested in the Wild Boar men and the Couger Men.But, a general method would be appreciated if possible. I checked the wiki's version of the raws for the races and I think their size effects their strength value. But I don't know for sure. I think that standard biped gaits might influence agility? Or are they all the same for every race except dwarf?
