What I'd be curious is whether the stress level goes down by itself over time, or if negative thoughts stay "in effect" forever.I believe a dwarf with no negative (or positive) influences would naturally end up at 0. Neither stressed no ecstatic.
Whoever made this must have either been very patient or hacking. That was Utunnels work, check the thread:
You can if you turn "embark anywhere" on, though this may be a feature of DFhack, as this feature allows you to embark in a human settlement or even in the middle of the ocean. I haven't tested this though, so let us know if it works, assuming you're running a version of Dwarf Fortress with the option available in the embark menu.Embark anywhere is a feature of DfHack, and it will let you embark on top of existing settlements.
A little tangential, but to second Aristion, for a while in .34 I experimented with playing as goblins.I'm pretty certain the goblin raws have an ethic that allows murder.
While it still wasn't super common, random inexplicable murder eventually went from shocking to irritating when done to someone useful.
I just assumed it was related to personality - hatred, anger, violence, vengefulness, and/or maybe cruelty? Goblins are set pretty high in most of those fields, almost to the point of extremes, so it'd help explain why they seemed to murder each other so often. Presumably a particularly goblinlike dwarf would be subject to the same deadly impulses?
You have some roots towards the bottom right, its not those holding it up is it?
Yes, only, sometimes, it doesn't. At least for my hilariously !!shitty!! computers. You should try extinguishing your computer, they tend to work better that way.
Urist McChild Cancels Sleep: Too TraumatisedThe title of this thread sounds like a dwarven children's book.
Once upon a time there was a town of dwarves. Then, a Were-tortiose attacked. He ate two dwarves and a baby. One of his victims survived only to transform himself and devour his friends and family. The emotional trauma caused all of the remaining townsfolk to abandon their homes entirely.
The end.
