DF Modding / Re: Creature creation?

Huh, heinous bummer.  While having lovely little dwarven sins against nature is a very lucrative thought, not being able to set it to an alchemist's lab is a little bothersome.

DF Modding / Creature creation?

Okay, so, Spiders Everywhere had some breakthrough where smelting cows into worms was a possibility.  Is there any way to set it to use a building that isn't a smelter, and to make creatures that aren't vermin?

I'd really like to hitch up an alchemical lab to make patchwork animals out of thread, metal, meat, a totem and some extract.  Is this possible through extensive reactions and file tinkering, or is this just unavailable?

Finally, as a somewhat less title-derived question, is there any detriment to making a creature that attacks with its heart?  Say I create a giant that has [ATTACK:MAIN:BYTOKEN:HEART:beat:beats:1:6:BLUDGEON] in its junk, will this damage its own heart or will it just be a delightfully messed up creature?

Stone/soil as in stone/soil walls or just anything that isn't channeled away?  I did my normal dance of "gigantic tracts of farmland just below the surface" and was still able to put plots directly underneath the mined-out areas.

Is it all farms or just farms that are one Z-level below the surface?  I ran into this same issue with my most recent fortress, so I just dug into the sand below the loam's z-level and was able to farm just fine.

How do you start a war with the Humans?  I'll show them to trade their entire wagons' worth of goods for one set of masterwork-decorated masterwork two-humped camel bone bolts...

Bukaipa, I was hoping there was some sort of unreveal.exe but, yeah, my complete lack of finding it and the input here has shattered those hopes.

Shattered the to tiny pieces.

Lesson learned as far as saving goes, though.

... What's that about hide.exe, though?  "Used to be" as in "can't possibly work with new versions" or just "hasn't been updated to new versions"?

Is this possible to do?  It's my first time using any utility with DF, I hadn't found any ore at all even with my exploratory digs - I wanted to make sure "Hexbane the Pit" of the haunted scorching swamp was a worthy venture, which it has turned out to be.

However, seeing all the freakin' rock everywhere is tacky and bothers me.  My last save is when I first got a good thing goin' and is sans the Founders' Hall, incinerator, horse pit and other things I am partial to.

Is there any way to, say, unreveal what reveal has revealed or am I stuck with redoing everything?  Tackiness aside, the lone benefit of a reload is reclaiming my carpenter from the skeletal alligators (he earned it, though, he tried to wrestle it).

Oh, I know, that's why I said they're deceptive.  It looks like it would be easy to run until you count in all the massive quantities of awesome the game processes per second.

Yes, it will probably run it.

No, you will probably not enjoy it, especially with the newer and delightfully more complicated version.  ASCII graphics are deceptive!

Addendum: Then again, has anybody tried running the smallest map possible on a lacking system?  That combined with no fun stuff (weather, temperature, etc) might help out a lot.
