I think you guys are reading the Horse's HP as the cost. That is my fault for bad formatting, but I think this will make you rethink some things.

Donkey costs 150
Pony costs 300
Charger costs 400
Pegasus costs 600

Oh. Oops. You can dismount anytime you like, but you lose the HP buff. You can mount again to get it back.

I'm gonna have to ask for a replacement. I'm just an anti-shulk right now. Sorry

Turn 15

Back in the fearless society, the shopkeep, and the Sargent returned, without the introduction guy. Along with them was a blacksmith, and somebody else. One thing was for certain, there would be some tough decisions ahead.

A hooded figure among the recruits suddenly stepped through the portal, content with all the information he had gathered. He then stood just outside the portal, and watched the fighters break out into fighting. "Interesting" he mused to himself.

Attacks

adventurers:

Saraket:
NCA: Take his loot (6)
You run your knife along the Dragon's body, popping off hundreds of scales. They ping off the Dragon's hide, and fall directly into an open burlap sack you found in the town. You are so efficient at getting your loot, that you have time to pick some of the smaller scales on the legs as well. Those scales would have gone to one of the dead fighters had they been alive.
315 loot collected
CA: slash Faker (3+1=4)
You notice the Dward lean down and copy your actions, stealing some of your scales. Without a second's hesitation, you unsheathe your knife, and slash him in the leg. The armor he word deflected most of the damage, and only a thin scratch remained. But you sent a message, "don't steal my shit" you say.
10 damage to Faker

Zombie Young Johnny:
NCA: Collect 185 extra loot (5)
You pick off some of the smaller scales on the Dragon's snout and head, filling your pockets as much as they could hold. Just like Saraket, you were so efficient, that you quickly found yourself walking back to the portal. However, you hear Saraket unsheathe his knife, and deduce that the Dwarf stole something. You Go for a quick slash to his neck.
185 loot collected
CA: Quick Strike Faker (5)
You slash your sword at his neck, but the sword gets tangled up in his beard, and loses much of its power after cutting through the hair. What would have been a killing blow was now just a maiming blow.
90 damage to Faker
Level up!
(You leveled up last turn, but I forgot.)

Headchopper:
NCA: Collect 185 loot (4)
You scrape your tail against the stump that used to be the Dragon's tail. You balance them on top of your body along with the talons. Then you attack the Dwarf, because that seems to be the popular thing to do.
185 loot collected
CA: quick strike faker (3)
You stab your pincer into the Dwarf's groin area, and squeeze. You hear something burst, and the Dwarf screams in pain. White liquid trails down your pincer.
40 damage to Faker
Level up!

Abdul:
NCA: Take his share of the loot (4)
You use magic to aid your hands in wrigling the horns out of their sockets. they are about the same size as the Minotaur horns, but weigh much more. Perhapse they aren't the same material? You are pondering this when you notice  everybody ganging up on the Dwarf. you decide to shoot some lightning because why not?
CA: magic beam Faker (5)
Your electricity ignores his armor completely, and completely destroys his nervous system. The The Dwarf falls over, dead. It's a shame he had to die, but all's fair in love and war.
100 damage to Faker, Faker is dead.

Daisypants: (auto)
NCA: Get to the corpse (3)
You ignore your own heroism, and get to the Corpse, ready to collect your loot

Bruce the Hero: (auto)
NCA: Collect loot (1)
You are a complete and utter failure at picking up the tail. You try picking it up by the bone that was sticking out of the severed end, but the slippery bone is covered with blood, and you get no purchase
CA: none

Faker:
NCA: Doesn't matter, you're dead. But since these turns happen simultaniously, I'll let you attack one person.
CA: Quick strike Saraket (6)
after Saraket cut your leg, you immediately retaliate, stabbing him with your sword. Your sword goes straight through his body, and out the other side. Moments later, you are ganged up on, get your family jewels demolished, then electroshock therapied to death.
100 damage to Saraket

With the Dwarf Dead, everybody collects their share of the loot in peace, then they return to the shop. They all pass by the Hooded man very cautiously, before making it through the portal. The hooded figure enters last.

Loot

Alright, everybody else gets their loot and makes it back. Here is the updated list.
Spoiler: loot details (click to show/hide)

Shop

The shopkeep took some advice, and had some new items in stock.

Spoiler: whats in stock (click to show/hide)

Training

The sargent and Cleric were back to teach some new techniques

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Blacksmith
A black smith set up a tempotary working station, and is offering some armor for those that can afford it. Upon seeing the Dragonscales, he offers to make dragonscale sets if you can afford it. If you already have armor, he's offering to buy it at a deflated price.

Spoiler: armor (click to show/hide)

Stablemaster

A peasant-looking man came in, along with some fine-looking horses. Well, some of them looked fine, some of them looked a little worse for wear. Regardless, he was selling some horses. Horses add HP to your character, but if the Horse's HP runs out, the Horse is dead forever. If they are still alive, though, they can be healed just like normal. If you want to do an action that doesn't make sense on a horse

Spoiler: horses (click to show/hide)

Adventurers

Alive: Saraket, Abdul, Young Johnny, Jhoferi, Headchopper, Daisypants, Marco Ruyn

Dead: Sally, werther, ewler, burklaif, Legsnapper, neckslicer, Faker

Spoiler: Warrior attacks (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: archer attacks (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: mage attacks (click to show/hide)

OOC notes

I rebalanced some of the training skills. I reduced the mage shield armor from -50 damage to -30 damage (because archers only do 60 damage. That would be broken.) I also made force a free action, so mages can better counter Warriors by keeping them away.

If you have any questions about how horses work, ask. Also, if you want to sell your armor, and not buy new ones, that is allowed.

200
And I'll be sure to mention that in the flavor text. Also, you two are currently at the corpse together, which makes you adjacent range. You might want to think about using your knife. (Since using ranged stacks on an adjacent target has a -2 penalty.)

Edit: no update tonight, I'm playing DND with some friends.

201
Against players, there is no mechanic for targeting body parts, but you can for role-playing sake.

Hold up, first I need to answer all my RVS questions.

origamiscienceguy: how do i rvs
There is no "right way" to RVS in my opinion. Whatever gets people to talk about the game is good. There are several "wrong ways" to RVS in my opinion. Asking questions that don't relate to the game in any way, voting for a person without any explanation, or just not participating in it at all (oops)

OSG: you are town with a 1-shot daykill and no forms of inspection. when do you use it?
Friday afternoon at around 7:15

Actually, I save it until it seems I'm going to be lynched, then use it on my top scumpick. I then tell everybody it was me "That was me" Even if I hit town.

OSG: I know I've played with you before, but I can't remember when. How would you evaluate your Mafia experience.
We played in Operation Overlord, and you played in the game I ran as well. So far, my experience has been pretty polar, either I'm playing well, or I'm playing like shit, getting modkilled for pretending to be a german.

origamiscienceguy
You're a mildly active, semi-competant mafia player.
That usually makes you real easy to read, and so not a real threat nor a real liability.
Who should I kill tonight and why?
anybody but me

Other than that, I don't know. I haven't read people yet. I'll get back to you on that.

OragamiScience
How much of Mafia is emotional, how much is critical thinking, and how much is BS?
To me, none of it is emotional. I don't put any emotion into my game. I put a lot of critical thinking into it though. And it is always all BS. None of what you critically thunk is ever correct, especially in a closed, chaotic game like this.

Turn 14

Right when the Dragon died, a dwarf charged through the portal, and made his way towards the corpse. Everybody was extremely suspicious, but as the Dwarf hadn't actually taken any loot yet, nobody acted. No need to be hasty...

Attacks

adventurers:

Saraket:
NCA: Make it to the Dragon (3)
The sand elemental made his way to the Dragon, and got ready to take his share of the loot, he was going to collect as many scales as he could carry, with the intention of crafting some better armor.
CA: none

Zombie Young Johnny:
NCA: Collect share of the loot (2)
You kick the Dragon's teeth in, until a the longest of them had all fallen out. You reach into the bloody mouth, and grab them. These will sell well!
160 loot collected
CA: none

Headchopper:
NCA: Collect share of the loot (5)
You snap off all the talons of the Dragon, using your pincers to cut them off at the base. These would make excellent decorations for your body...
100 loot collected
CA: none

Abdul:
NCA: Get to the corpse (3)
You do a simple jog to get to the corpse, you have your eyes on the Dragon's horns. (you really like horns)
CA: none

Daisypants:
NCA: Get to the corpse (1)
You think about going to the corpse to collect some nice valuables from the Dragon, (you specifically were targeting the wing leather, as it was very versetile and expensive) but you keep imagining your arrow killing the dragon, embellishing the memory to make yourself seem even more awesome. While you are lost in your thoughts, you didn't realize that you hadn't actually moved yet.

Bruce the Hero: (auto)
NCA: Get to the corpse (4)
You trot to the corpse, proud of your obviously heroic deeds. You want to take the entire lower half of the tail (the part that got torn off by Johnny) The meat inside the tail makes for a great main course in a feast for royalty, there would certainly be demand.
CA: none

Faker: Get to the corpse (4)
You run as fast as you can to the corpse. Everybody watches you suspiciously. They all warn you to back away from their loot. "You didn't help at all. Get the hell out of here"

Loot

Collected loot cannot be obtained unless you kill whoever holds it, or if you "persuade" them diplomatically. Also, you can only take one pile at a time (the even split 185 will count as one pile)
Spoiler: loot details (click to show/hide)

Adventurers

Alive: Saraket, Abdul, Young Johnny, Jhoferi, Headchopper, Daisypants, Faker

Dead: Sally, werther, ewler, burklaif, Legsnapper, neckslicer
Spoiler: alive character sheets (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: dead character sheets (click to show/hide)

OOC notes

Faker, the loot is the dead dragon's body parts. It is just divied up to the participants, so there is some numerical backing to the arbitrary loot. You can take one pile at a time. But I don't think anybody else will like that.

Also, I find it hilarious how everybody is contributing to the lore of this world that I didn't care to give any lore to. I'm trying to connect it all together with some plot now. That will start once you get back to the hubworld.

206
Turn 13

After what seemed like hours of waiting, somebody in the Fearless Society stirred. It was a very impatient elf. He muttered to himself. "Can't these fools beat this thing already?" He strided over to the portal, turned around, flicked everybody off, then slowly backed into the portal, his hand disappearing last.

Also, another lobster fell from the ceiling, but everybody was too agast by the elf to notice.

Attacks

adventurers:

Saraket:
NCA: None
CA: Arrow Shot head (1)
Your next shot was even more inacurate than the last, and to top it off, the Dragon sneezed a jet of flame right at you, seemingly at random.
Free attack: Fire breath (1)
However, you dive behind a pillar, notice the head was particularly vulnerable, and you fire again.
Free attack: Arrow shot head (2)
But that shot misses as well. Either the gods were against you, or you were just having an off day.

Zombie Young Johnny:
NCA: get close to the dragon (4)
You hobble into range of the Dragon, ready to strike.
CA: Kick Left-Front leg (4+1=5)
You bring up your metal-clad boot, and kick one the Dragon's leg. Your boot slams into the Dragon's ankle, rattling the bones, and surely causing immense pain
60 damage to Front-Left leg

Headchopper:
NCA: Run up to the Dragon (3)
Your excelent sense of smell tells you that
CA: quick attack Right-back leg (6)
With one pincer, you stab deep into the Leg's muscles, and squeeze. Blood runs out of the wound and down your arm, but you're cold-blooded, so you don't give a shit. The leg dips down slightly, as the weight of the body above it strains the remaining muscles and pains the Dragon greatly. It shifts its weight to its left side to stay standing up.
 100 damage to Right-Back leg

Abdul:
NCA: none
CA: Heal Self (5)
You dust some soot off of your wizarding robes, then form the green orb on your staff, and accelerate time on all the burnt parts of your body, healing them in a matter of seconds. Wonderful!
50 damage healed

Daisypants:
NCA: Get to cover (2)
You find cover behind a nice flower that was growing on the side of one of the ruined streets. This flower survived all the fire so far, it must have magical properties!
CA: Arrow Shot head (6)
You draw your bow, pull out an arrow, spin it three times in your hand before nocking it. You draw back, and fire in one smooth motion. You don't even watch the arrow, cause you know the Dragon is dead. You simply turn around, walk away, and shout "Amateurs." To everybody else that was watching, the arrow flew straight into one of the Dragon's nostrils, tore into the nasal cavity, smashed through the thin skull, and finally stopped halfway throuth the brain. The Dragon stops for a moment, blood and grey matter start flowing out of its nose like a river, then it teeters on its front legs, the wounded one gives way, and it collapses into a pond of its own blood. There were no sounds of pain, just death. Everybody except DaisyPants lets out a massive cheer. The battle is Won! Time to loot!
90 damage to head, the Dragon is dead!

Loot

Decided to shake things up a bit. The dead characters will have their own separate loot piles up for grabs. You guys can work out who gets what in a peaceful discussion, but if there are any disagreements, you can always resort to violence.
Spoiler: loot details (click to show/hide)

207
Turn 13

Even though the fight was far from over, Saraket, the first responder, started planning on how to use the corpse of the dragon for his own benefit. The Dragon was not going to go down without a fight, however.

Meanwhile, back at the fearless society, more rustling was heard in the ceiling, and another lobster, even bigger than the last one, fell into the room. Everybody scrambled for cover as the lobster crawled into the portal and joined the battle.

Attacks

adventurers:

Saraket:
NCA: None
CA: Arrow Shot head (2)
Again, you try to shoot the Dragon's head in between his bursts of blood vomiting, but you mistime your shot, and the arrow sails clean over the head.

Zombie Young Johnny:
NCA: none
CA: Heavy Strike Front Left leg (4-1-1=2)
You swing your sword wildly to try to release yourself from the Dragon's grip, but your arm is pinned in an awkward position, and your sword does not connect.

Neckslicer:
NCA: Run up to the Dragon (5)
You sense a dead lobster, and use deductive reasoning to determine that the zombie must have killed him. Greatful that he killed your competition, you decide to help the zombie and attack the big thing that was holding him.
CA: Kick Right-front leg (1+1=1)
You whack the leg as hard as you can with your pincers, but they bounce right off. The Dragon then moves his foot for a completely different reason, and brings it down on top of you.
Free Attack: Stomp (6-1=6)
Again, the dragon squashes you, smearing you into the cobbles right next to the other lobsters. Maybe lobsters weren't the best for fighting dragons.
400 damage to Neckslicer, Neckslicer is dead

Abdul:
NCA: Read Prophecy from fake scroll (2)
It was a pretty good read, with good visuals to go with it. The prophecy was about an evil corporation monopolizing a service, then creating demand for their service through illegitimate means. You have a good laugh, certain it was not relevant to your situation at all.
CA: Magic Beam Head (4-1=3)
you launch a beam of fire, which hits the Dragon's head, and explodes. While the scales were fireproof, the force of the explosion was enough to lacerate some of the existing wounds and make them bigger. The two arrows in the neck sheared a gash between them. And the Dragon started Coughing and vomiting more blood by the minute.
25 damage to head

Bruce the Hero:
NCA: Climb the Dragon to the head (3)
you attempt to climb up the Dragon, but it shakes you off, and you fall on your ass. A hero should not be subjected to this disrespect! You retaliate!
CA: Kick Right-Front leg (2+1=3)
You kick the leg with your boot, and it sinks into one of the gashes the first lobster made, hitting the bone, and fracturing it. You hear the
Dragon scream, and Johnny is released. He stands up, grateful to be unconstrained.
15 damage to Right-Front leg. Right-Front Leg is destroyed
Johnny is no longer immobalized

Dragon
NCA: Run to Abdul (2)
The Dragon runs towards Abdul, but only makes it halfway before devolving into a coughing fit. He shoots flames from a distance.
CA: Fire Breath Abdul (3)
The Fire hits a nearby building, splashing into Abdul. It wasn't bad, and the mud caked on the mage prevented him from catching fire. It was rather painful, though.
40 damage to abdul

210
Turn 12

As the wounds grew more numerous, the Dragon started to look more and more dead. However, an actually dead person, Johnny, in fact, slowly stood up, and walked. It seemed like he had been infected by the great undead plague that had inflicted the Region all those years ago. With his age, it was not inconceivable that he may have been a child during those times, and caught the dormant strain of the disease. Most intriguing...

Attacks

adventurers:

Saraket:
NCA: None
CA: Arrow Shot head (3)
Your next shot his the head again, but at the wrong angle. It glances right off the scales. Killing this guy was going to be a little bit harder than that.

Zombie Young Johnny:
NCA: Run to the tail (5)
You run clear across the ruined fishing village, even looping around a building to come up behind the beast. Some of your memories were being consumed by the disease, but you remember this is where you were fighting. You see the bloody "H" in the dragon's tail, and vaguely recognize it as your work somehow, even though you don't remember the events that caused you to make the insignia.
CA: Quick strike tail (6)
You have an angry emotion towards the Dragon, and you wonder if it is the one responsible for the broken bones in your chest. You stab your sword right through the center of the "H", and it goes clear through the other side. You then fall on your sword, tearing it straight down, cutting clean through the entire tail. You see a river of blood pour out and into the city sewers. Your hearing seems to be not functioning very well, because you didn't hear the painful screams from the beast. It's tail was being held together by nothing but bones now, and in an instictual reaction, the Dragon flexes it's tail upward. However, with no more connective tissue to stup the upward momentum, the back end of the tail continues upwards, snapping at the joint, and the end of the tail did a few mid-air tumbles before falling still on the ground. However, you did not notice any of this. Instead, you recall back in your childhood that your parents, and most of your family was infected with the undead plague, and they were subjected to the massacres that followed... You must have contracted that desease somehow, yet it only appeared now, after you had already died...
100 damage to tail, tail is destroyed.

Legsnapper:
NCA: Charge the right-front leg (3)
You put some extra enthusiasm in your newest charge, but it still gives no benefit other than getting you closer.
CA: Heavy attack front-right leg. (6-1=6)
You go for another attack, digging your pincers deep into the muscles of the leg, and shearing them together, cutting through several vital muscles and tendons. The bone is what stops you again, but the Dragon visibly shifts his weight off of the leg to avoid the pain of putting pressure on it. He cries to the sky, before barfing up more blood. He was starting to look terrified. With his wounded leg, he brings it up and prepares to crush you.
160 damage to right-front leg
Level up.

Free Attack: Stomp (6=1=6)
The leg falls square on top of your back. Your legs give way immediately, and your exoskeleton visibly stops the weight for but a moment, before it cracks, and your internals smear the tiny space between the foot and the cobbles. The dragon lifts his foot up, and your guts stick to his foot until he shakes it off.
400 damage to Legsnapper, Legsnapper is dead

Abdul:
NCA: Roll in the mud to put out the fire (5)
You roll in some mud you found at the bottom of your watchtower. The mud extinguishes the fire no problem, and you suspect, the caked mud would be an excelent deterrant as well.
Abdul is no longer on fire. 1-time immunity from fire
CA: Magic Beam Head (2-1=2)
You see the weakened and wounded head, with the Dragon constantly vomiting up blood out of its mouth. And aim to end it once and for all. You summon a beam of pure ice, and launch it at the Dragon's head. But you miss. Way off target.

Dragon
NCA: none
CA: Clutch Zombie Johnny (3+1=4)
The Dragon turns around, and is surprised to see the old man still alive. He repeats the same attack, grabbing Johnny, and twisting him viciously. The claws dig deep into his body, drawing black blood. It seems memories were not the only thing the disease changed.
130 damage to Johnny, Johnny is immobalized (front Left leg and Front Right leg)

Also, I'm beginning to wonder if this Dragon is a bit too damaging. He's only 1-2 hits away from death though, so we'll see. Rest in Peace Legsnapper. You truly lived up to your name.
