Turn 1: Fight!

The Lion growls and continues to approach your group. The Lion Cub does not growl, since it doesn't yet realize it failed its Stealth roll.

Cast Mental Projection on the Lion Cub
You boggle the mind of this simple creature with the extraordinary concept of extra arms. [You:2+5 < Them:8] By some fluke of mental fortitude, the Lion Cub resists the brunt of your spell, but still finds itself unable to move. Suddenly, you look up to see the Lion bound into the room and slash you with its claws! [Them:9+? > You:7+1] The claws cut into your rubbery complexion and hurt like hell! (-8 HP)

Cast a magic attack at the lion with the Daggerwand of Corrosion and move away from it.
You wait for the Lion to come into view, and launch the sizzling sludge at it. [You:9+4 < Them:20+?] It nimbly dodges to the side and continues its pursuit. Before it can reach you, you back out and run north.

Move to inside the room, shoot the lion, and move back.
You pop inside to take a shot at the creature. [You:19+2 > Them:12+?] The Lion's hide is no match for your modern solution, and it roars with pain & fury. As you move back, however, the it catches up to you and retaliates with an attack of its own. [Them:11+? < You:17+2] The claws swipe past the empty air where your head used to be.

Quote from: GlassBot
Climb over the table and shoot at the Lion.
You take cover behind the table ((which costs an extra .5 to  move onto)) and level a shot at the oncoming foe. [You:17 < Them:19+?] The Lion ducks at the last moment and the searing bolt flies past it's arched back.

Turn 2: Fight!

The Lion snarls at Enal Quinn and starts to shift it's weight. The Lion Cub stares in bewilderment at it's four, furry appendages.

Alright, it looks like Glass will be unable to post for a while. I don't want to replace him outright, but until he comes back, I'll have Rauthedir control his character.

PMing him now. Since it's taken so long to do this update, if he doesn't post before I get home, I swear I'll actually do a default action, this time.
Sounds good, but maybe we should have him do a generic action now and have someone else control his character after this turn.
Well, I had to go, so I couldn't update anyway.

It looks like Glass has been away for a while. Does anyone know how to contact them, or how long they'll be gone?
Well, Glass has his own discord server(That he is currently not on) however- someone he has repeatedly stressed to be his brother was online earlyer today- and is currently online in glasses discord. Would you like to start a Round of Telephone to reach glass?
Yeah, let's do that. If we can't reach him by tonight, I'll just have him take the most likely action.

((Do spells have a max range and cooldown?))

Cast Mental Projection on the Lion Cub
Nope. Just a limited number of uses.

No Turn: Free Movement

Take the East door, but be as quiet as possible. If there are enemies, slowly back up into the previous room.
Follow fellow aquatic creature to the East door.
As the only one with Pick Locks, try to open the east door if it is neccesary.
You all go to the east door. The first of you looks inside and sees a small travel agency, complete with posters on the walls ("South Africa: A World of Adventure Awaits!") next to a tasteless plastic fern, uncomfortable chairs, and a varnished desk separating them from the slightly-outdated ReceptionBotTM v7. However, on second glance, they also notice a black locked door across from you (with white lettering: "EMPLOYEES ONLY"), a glass door on the north wall which is completely fogged up, and the copious amounts of blood which cover some of the chairs as well as the desk. Simultaneously, the ReceptionBotTM notices them, and drones out a "Welcome, customer 529E - please take a seat!" Simultaneously to that, the Lion that was crouched behind the desk jumps over it and begins to prowl towards them. Uncomfortable with the sudden escalation of events, they decide to step out of the room, but not before noticing a Lion Cub hiding behind the edge of the desk. You pull out your weapons and get ready to battle.

Take a peek through the disco door's keyhole.
Alas, there is no keyhole! However, you can just barely see flashing lights from below the door.

Since I can't split the party, and not all of you are going east (and I'm not at my computer, anyway), I'll give you time to come to a unanimous agreement.

Enter the next room, prepared for any potential attackers but trying to make a decent first impression.
With my air jets, rush to the door to the next room. Don't enter the next one until someone already has, though.
Enter the next room. Look around to see if there is any food.
"I'll scout ahead, ok ?"

Sneakily enter into the next room and check for ennemies. If there are any, go back to the previous room and warn the others before they enter.
You all make your way into the room one way or another, and give it a closer look. A flickering string of light bulbs illuminates a single long table, devoid of anything and bolted to the floor. Down each side of it stretches a chipped and worn bench, one lying on its side. The air is stale, but it carries the sound of... disco music? Sure enough, you hear the music coming from behind the iron-reinforced door in the west wall. Another - less notable - door leads to the east, but without any particular clue as to what may lie behind it.

Hmn...
Everyone, look away from the cannons.

Once we're all looking away from the cannons, move along to the exit, being careful not to look at the cannons.
Keeping your eyes on the east wall, you walk all the way to the south end of the room without incident.

Activate air jets and fly over the cannons, moving 4 spaces down. Don't touch them or get in fron of the cannons.

"Wheeee!"
You effortless float above the cannons and your friends. You reach the far wall and wait for them on the other side.

Shrug, look away from the cannons, and peek through the exit door.
You nonchalantly shimmy over to the other door and open it a crack. On the other side, you see an abandoned dining hall, its table and benches in disrepair. (I'm on a public computer, so no image)

Look away from the cannons, and move towards the exit but check the room and doorway for traps beforehand.
You glue your eyes to the floor and scan it for pressure plates, tripwires, and other such hazards as you make your way along. Eventually, you run into the door and check it as well. Neither search yields any results.

Do you mean you'll walk over to the exit door to look through the keyhole?

Move closer to the cannons and examine them.

"Fascinating... I've never seen anything like this in Atlantis."
There isn't any engraving on them, but it's clear that a lot of work was put into their design. The reflective metal that each barrel consists of - as well as its imposing shape - makes it hard to not notice.

See if I can use my scientific background to determine anything about the cannons. Always stay to their side, never go in front of them.
Are they trapped?

Interesting.
You try to find a mechanism on the cannon that would clue you in on it's current state, but find nothing at all. In fact, it looks to be smooth all over, with no opening to put in more cannon balls, or a fuse to light it. As for your scientific knowledge, it hasn't much delved into quantum weaponry. However, like with all quantum things, they must be observed for them to exist.

Sculpted? Examine the imagery, see what it contains. Stay out of their line of fire, though.
There is no imagery engraved into the side of it. The shape of the barrel itself, however, seems to be so deliberate that it feels like a work of art.

"I don't know a lot about Quantum weapons, but those cannons scream trap to me."

Move 5 spaces to the left and investigate the walls and cannons. Don't touch anything and don't get in front of the cannons.
The walls are made of iron, and show a little rusting. Turning your attention to the cannons, it appears that your friends have them pretty surrounding, preventing you from getting a closer look.

EDIT: And now I notice that 3 of us have Magic 5 and the fourth has Magic 4.
Hoo boy.

I was wondering if anyone else saw that too. Because of that and the spells, people's physical skills are really low. This should be an interesting game, indeed.

P.S. Update tonight, I think.

Game Start!

On your marks, get ready, GO!

After trudging through countless deserts, innumerable mountains and endless wilderness, you come across the Dungeon of the Gizmo of Ultimate Goodness. It's hard to say whether the journey has even come close to preparing you for this. After a moments hesitation, you lift the unmarked trapdoor and walk down the staircase below, your headlamps illuminating the iron walls around you...

You eventually reach the bottom, and find only a single iron door labelled "Quantum Arsenal". Tentatively, you push it open. Inside is the most exotic cache of weapons you have ever seen and not seen: Quantum laser rifles appear and then cease to be when your eyes flit away; glossy swords of all sizes and proportions can and cannot be found strewn across the shelves. In one corner, even a full set of armor - partially nonexistent - sits on a rack, facing the room. You feel a little disappointed when you realize that none of this exists enough to be lootable, but your thoughts are interrupted when you notice the centerpiece of the room. Two quantum cannons are pushed up against the west wall, their lavender sheen drawing the eye down the entirety of their sculpted surface. In the light of your headlamps, they almost seem to glow. Wrenching your eyes from them for a moment, you notice a plain iron door on the south wall, unlocked.

i'm still waiting for another set of replacements that i can actually try my hardest to make a character from
Oops. I'll send them.

Could we change my worship spell to one that puts an enemy under my control, rather than making those that haven't seen any of us attack anything not attack us so long as we don't attack? I just feel it'll be more useful.
Alright, how about this...
The Old Ways (Sacred & Worry): Where the innovations of today fail us, the methods of the old gods may still prove useful. You can only cast this spell the turn after you have killed a creature. Target (living) creature must make a Will roll vs your Magic roll. If they fail, they become your unwavering ally for the rest of the level, or until you die. You may only have one such ally at a time.
