Can't wait to purchase it on steam. Glad that it's not in the stale fantasy setting.

Hey. I managed to finish the first quest to Red Rock. For my second time. Where should I head for now?

PS why is this roguelike so popular? Haven't find anything awesome in it by this far.

I believe it should work like Wild Wasteland trait from Fallout New Vegas. Not always for the good, but still fun and, which is more important, fatalistic.

(1) Nevertheless, how can I open my backpack and look through the contents? How do I put items in it?
(2) How to attack monsters?
(3) To the author: what is your current objective on features to be implemented and what will the game look like as it's finished (compared to the current state)? More dungeon levels or maybe you will add open ranges? Something like a storyline or just single quests?

I think all changes regarding magic should be introduced very carefully. The game is about dwarfs, and its gameplay should run about dwarfish stuff. They are not good mages as we know. Maybe it'd be wise to create some powers opposite to magic.

DF Suggestions / "Special" items

I think it'd be cool if you introduced into adventure mode items which could change character's fate very drastically. For example, by delivering him good luck or more troubles. Magical cards, sacred or cursed ankhs, items of the dead, items granted by gods. I read story of one guy's character, and I was admired. He encountered some epic monster which was unreachable by melee weapons, but could be hit by thrown items. The guy had thrown all the items he had to throw exept one - a dagger - and it didn't deliver any harm to the monster. And then he thows that dagger - the monster's head falls down from his shoulders. It was such a great piece of luck! These insane happenings could be provided by holding items like those I have mentioned, don't you think so?

I think it'd be cool to introduce into adventure mode things like:
(1) uncontrolled mutations like werewolf, which can be got by being gnawed by a werewolf. "Uncontrolled" means that you can't choose when to turn wolf, you only transform when the moon is full. You can suggest more mutations alike to this.
(2) mutations that you can control, ability to which can be gained from some magical items or being given by druids. These mutations could have a wide range of variety - from quite useful(for example a giant sprider, which is able to literally devour its enemies) to fully useless ones(turtle etc), or maybe even these which positive qualities are not so evident(a butterfly with a high level of evasion, or maybe some swift rat).
Your opinion?

It was my first time when I wandered in Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup relatively far. Generally I can't even make it through 3-4 level of the dungeon world. But today I got to shoals level 3. I played as an assassin spriggan. Everything was fine for my using poisoning needles (in one of my previous runs I got paralyzing ones which was even more awesome). I blew them through a blowgun and then ran away from dying foes, others were stabbed down unaware. And I died because of my most typical failure -- underestimating the enemy. It was something like a turtle, it was quite fast somehow, although I was faster (thanks to spriggan's natural speed). I couldn't even suppose that turtle could hit over 2 tiles =/

PS my score is 33819
PS2 I expect I will pick an assassin spriggan asgain. Could someone give me an idea on which deity I should choose to worship?

Is there a typed tutorial(written by players) for this game? Like the quickstart article on DF's adventure mode on dfwk. I can't watch hour's videos frequently  :(

Never could force myself to play it for more than a few hours. Oblivion goes much better. But yes, Morrowind is better than Oblivion(only not for me) and especially than Skyrim.

I think this game is going to have quite a complicated rpg system. It has nice graphics. And there's a bunch of texts which makes it somewhat a smart game. I like that. I wish to see it entirely done oneday. But I can't get into the inventory system. I assume the character doesn't have any racksack, satchel or backpack at the begining of the game, right? So he can carry only what can be worn or wielded? How dp I look through the contents of the inventory (if it's even possible)?
