"-Mage trainee: starting weapons are Wind/Lightning/Worm." On other words, if you are planning to promote into a monk, you will need to start with a light subcategory. They made that change exactly because it made no sense for mage trainee always start with fire no matter what they were going to promote into. And changing weapons don't cost an action.
I'm starting with proficiency in Holy magic, then heading into Shaman to pick up proficiency in Dark magic as well. After that, I'll focus on Ancient Magic and Warding Magic, blasting foes with Ancient magic and then switching to Warding magic before the end of my turn to pick up those nice on-hit buffs.

Why was Lore Master nerfed? I mean, I get the Center/Imbue thing, but what about spending HP instead of durability to cast low-level spells is so overpowered?

Do you lose your Trainee proficiences when you promote to your First Class? If not, one could start as a Mage Trainee with proficiency in Fire magic, then promote into a Monk/Nun and use the Discipline skill to keep your Fire magic proficiency up at a reasonable level. The end result of that wombo-combo is a character that specializes in Holy magic but can cast a few low-level Fire spells as well (when needed), which I think is not too unbalanced (considering that you'd have to spend your Character Skill on that combo).
Is an action required in order to change weapons?
If the answer to the first question is yes and the answer to the second question is no, I might switch back to Malabus (who I've already modified a bit to fit with this build concept). Could I get a confirmation on the answers to these questions?

It's been quite a while since I participated in an arms-race game. What resources and projects do we have?

I recommend capturing the monsters of the mist at some point and unleashing them within the enemy's spires. Hopefully, both sides (monster or our sworn foes) will damage each other enough that we can send in proper troops to clean them out later. And hey, maybe the monsters that we'll find will have interesting biologies/body parts that we can weaponize or something.

Draignean, you mentioned in the main thread that going too high up causes people to go insane due to the high quantities of Aether there. How much is "high", and can we "gas" our enemies out by filling their spires with a considerable amount of Aether? Can we shoot an incredibly concentrated stream in order to drive people insane on the spot/within a day of being shot?

Random thought: A Knight that can use a bow or other ranged weapon can repeatedly spam Hold the Line to render themselves immune to melee attacks while still being able to attack enemies themselves. Admittedly, this tactic can easily be defeated by simply standing 3+ squares away from the Knight, thus forcing him to move towards you... Then again, you might not have any ranged attacks that have a range greater than 3.

Remove the final spider butt from its owner's corpse and put it in my inventory (to be assimilated later).
Clarification: I am going to kill the final spider by ripping a large chunk of its body off of it.

As a reminder, if a player is proving to be... Problematic... You can cast Replace Dryad on them. It might be resisted, but having a majority of players agree on it will probably make it work.
Whom are you implying is problematic?
