Oh comon sombody answer the thread before I do....
No takers ok.

This will make no sense bear wolf it

The vampire has menigitis and is trying to spread it by spitting at you.
The town probably loves the vampire and allows him to hang around. And killing him is still murder.
Sadly if everyone attacks you they may get the cultist tag (fisherman cultist, craftsman cultist etc).
Because vampires have great social skills and big teeth people cant help but love them.
Just remember that you are doing the right thing in killing a vampire and defending yourself.

So yeah deal with it.
Dont drink his blood, dont lick yourself after killing it. Jump in a river and let the sin wash off you.
Vampires are abhorrent creatures and deserve the light!
By the way Welcome to the forums. I am the most powerful sentient creature on here and have killed many legendary adventurers and deer

Lock yourself in.
Retire fort.
Make demigod adventurer.
Que training montage with the song maniac by michael sembello.
Kill the burd.
Eat the burd.
Retire the adventurer in the fort area.
Reclaim fort hopefully it didnt fall unto ruins.
Reopen fort and invite the demigod inside for roc and rolls.

Or sky magma.
Its like magma but nothing like lava.
You have to dig into clouds to get it. Clouds are like aerial aquifers but filled with sky magma.

Or a legitimate way would be to train a bunch of xbowmen and cage traps.
Perhaps the dwarven guillotine modified for cage traps at the end instead of blade traps.
Its basicly a trap that causes a dwarf to be swept away, fall get stunned and activate a trap.
Its.... fun

Watch out, rocs can tear sheets up! Silk sheets.
Easily removing limbs with its talons.
If you are not familiar with a rocs size, look up some pictures. Im sure you are, they are, Gigantic. Can carry whales in one talon. Can be killed with the right method though. Its still a bird. Neck injuries will fell it quickly.
An iron/steel longsword/spear stab to the neck can make the bird pass out.

I know whats going to happen though.
You will fail and Roc never dies!

General Discussion / Re: The 1 percent per day superpower
« on: February 18, 2015, 07:36:24 pm »
Increase my killing power by one% and become a badass fucking killing machine running at 101% power with the goals in mind to kill all the life extenders and cowards of death, quickly bringing them what they hide from.
I would only need the one percent. I would forsake it after using it once.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Stop testing us lord bucket.

To the 12 Catholics here/other denominations that do it: what are you doing for Lent? I'm going to be joining the Catholics for a fast tomorrow. Considered giving up coffee for Lent, but let's not be reckless here.
I think I'll get into premarital intercourse, but that's less a matter of it being lent and more of a matter of having someone to do it with.
Im a touchy subject..

Wassup believers here is another silly wolf question: could god create a more powerfull god?

Another: God spoke to me last night and told me to find one of his followers, then to ask them to kill me.
Would you do it?
Could you do it?
Or would you say im crazy?
If im crazy, then what makes the prophets speak the truth?

I miss K33n and the comments that he/she made and then thread was blocked in fear the crusaders would rise and start purifying the non believers.
In fear

And they shall no [NOFEAR]

My brothers died. A mist entered the lungs and rapidly ate out the chest cavity leaving piles of poison dust where they fell, shortly after it fell into ruins and the dust had dissapeared, I had hoped to take some for my alchemikal research, sadly I was not at the outpost at the time.
I had found a letter written by a necromancer, two parts actualy the first was a letter to a loved one. The second however was written decades latter by the same author. This letter bought magnesium filled tears to my eyes, it was a letter written by pure lonelieness and depression, obviously a man who had lost his goal, had lost his reason to live. But years before you could see a man with a determined hungry look in his eyes seeking immortality, now it seemed he had nothing to live for, he only wanted death after finding immortality. The nature of it is to be pondered.
I knew he wanted his death, because his own thralls had killed him.

I burnt the letters for my own morbid curiosity. Burning things reveals the truth, it purifies. The letters caught fire however never burnt, the letters danced with a life of their own, singing of lust and sadness.
Slowly but never slowing my fire keeps on growing.
Help me find the mysterys lest I be stricken with melancoly

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: Kisat Dur: the Dwarven Martial Art

Yes the cave in strike is the defining move in this art.
And as I also didnt understand how to do it straight away, but it easy.
Grapple any body part with any limb, then before the grapple is confirmed 'J'ump. Either two thing will happen, you will get a confirmed hit message you hit bizznitch or a miss try again chumpster.
If you hit follow through with the jump and as long as the path of the jump meets the target they will go flying. While the tech says a sprinting start. A standing start is as debilitating... after all, we just need a slight upperhand to win a fight.
Wait no..
All we need is love.

I thought the res-ing was like vampirism or secrets of life and death?
Have you ever seen the people in legends who try to extend their life at any cost and die shortly after.
Maybe they become mummies? Iv never reaserched this area though.
Seems legit. Its even in the raws with the other curses.

In following rules centered around good thinking does one achive a state of goodness?
Knowing the concepts of goodness, does this make you good?

Ignorance of the bad, hiding from it does this make you good?
Killing the ignorant and the destroyer, is this goodness

Over zealosy, and passion for one goal/idea/deity is it a good thing?
How much do you love? Could you measure it?
Why do we love?
Why must we serve? Be it money, our dog, cats, a deity, sensation, exhilaration.whatever.

Personal notes will offend highly, bordering on platinum banhammering material
This is AO material and a parental guardian is highly advised

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your adventure?
« on: February 18, 2015, 02:11:27 am »
Minotaur outsider, starts off near a forest retreat.
Scared a few elves got bored of them running and decided to 'adventure' I travelled north as the crow flys... until I had to turn off path after seeing a shrine for a forest titan spirit. It was a quadraped composed of snow and had a regal bearing, shortly after sighting it I was spotted. The silly snow spirit didnt know its strength, with a quick dodge and a slash to the neck with my 'rusty copper dagger and the head goes flying princess monokoke styles. So I grabbed the head and walked west quickly stumbled upon a lair. "Sweet I will show them my great spirit head I found"
you lick the spirit head
To my suprise its a Roc, I sneak on and get a stab to the head making the beatific bird pass out. "You Idiot" he was killed with a second blow, somehow I manage to carry him away in one hand...
I continue on my journey to the west, "oh a labrinth, yay friends".
I dropped my head and roc then I prepare for a fight by doing minotaur pushups, Inside I was greeted by a peasant that was screaming "I WANT YOUR BONES FOR MY BONEMILL" "I'LL GRIND YOU INTO PORRIDGE" the classic minotaur greeting. Finaly after a screaming match I greeted the minotaur cow and we had a little chat about life and maze designs as we pondered the ineffable subtleties of the 5th dimesion hypercube I began to fall in love, she invited me deeper inside for dinner and we ate a romantic dwarven steak over the bonemill, after a nice night and a ringing ear from the screaming I told her I had to go.
I travelled north and found a dark fortress. While walking through the pits (I hate the pits more than a water level) I found two gob towers and greeted them all like any respectable minotaur would, by breaking bones and screaming death.
I clear the first tower, the second however proved tougher, a miner chopped my leg and brused me a few times, the goblins had surrounded me in an act of supidity and impatience I leapt off the edge.
Falling at speed towards the earth his life flashed behind his eyes meat cameras. And smack.
He was dead for a minute and he wakes up in a maze of confusion a split open hand and a thumping headache.
He decided to retire with the minotaur cow, raise some calves, graze on elves. You know, the simple life.

So next time a minotaur screams at you, just remember that they are loving creatures and just want to eat dinner. So bring a meal!

I seem to have spawned in a part of a dwarf site that has no exit :( i'm stuck. Are there any dfhack commands that could warp me out of here?
That's bug 6541: Generated dwarf fortress has no exit or similar.

Why is it a bug? I can understand why its reported. Its annoying.
But not all civs have surface access. Who can say they have never heard of dwarves shutting themselves in?
The only thing I would want fixed would be that you cant start there as an adventurer.
