Yeah the water droping trick.
I like to play as a water bender sometimes by finding as many flasks waterskins backpacks and barrels fill them all to the brim with liquids and throw the liquids.
Im yet to attack a monster composed of fire though. have 100 units of water in your hand and whack with it, it soon.
It can be fun to do if the misc obj, throwing, and swiming are legendary.
Btw how good is music

Yeah the drinking age in NZ is 18, and yeah its a weird number to sell by the 15 but we do.
Its $20 for a 15 and thats the cheap shit, the good stuff can go for 30 to 40 dollars for a 12 pack.
Sums are off the top of my head, ive bought enough to be in the ball park though.

First step.
Make a copy of your df raws.
Second step.
Have a look at how the raws are laid out
Third step.
Go to the modding thread and have a read. If anything confuses you ask for help.
Fourth step.
Mod the game.
If anything goes wrong go through steps 2 to 4.
And always make a new world after editing.

Final step.

Also one last thing, I heard in the next update there will be artifacts and magic so does that mean artifact swords and stuff and fireballs instead of raising the dead?
I HIGHLY doubt they will remove necromancers its like vanilla icecream witout icecream.
And the magic will be a while off.
I belive the magic will be rare, and most likely to be a magic weapon made during world gen with armys fighting over it.
It doesnt seem like the kind of game for people to cast a fireball whenever because its also about survival and it wouldnt very hard if you could lightning everything at will.
"Oh look a goblin. FIREBALL" Goblin hammerlord in steel plate dies.
It is dwarf fort after all.
Btw fire imps and firemen can fireball. If u want magic now mod it in

Some forts are shut in without an exit or the exit is very hard to find.

You know so gobs cant kill you.
Make another dragon that starts at a hamelt.
And remember the fort you spawned in and never go their again.

Oh thank you for helping me Reelya,
Yeah the civ name wont matter you just need a civ type so the game recognises that its playable.
Most my editing of the raws where from looking at the files, playing around and the modding thread andd I havent stuffed up yet.

Btw playing as a dragon is fun.

You may want to mod in wings so you can fly, dragons in dwarfy fortress are wingless.
But still powerful. You will also get hungry because you cant grasp anything to eat (yes its silly)
You could give your front feet the [grasp] tag.
