Aaa, people, stop shaving your power away! Only bearded humanity can conquer the galaxy!

No, these are some soviet scientists. Trotsky was my first thought as well, so I checked it. Can't remember their names already, though. One thing I know for sure is that it's an operable Watt's steam machine which requires real tiny logs as fuel!

There were also some posters of the "To drink or not to drink? Sure, drink!"  kind and a wall calendar for 2004.

Well, while you have nothing to do, enjoy the epic 1971 machine I was shown today during an excursion of some kind in one of our research institutes.

It still works!

I...um..don't have a passport.
Is that the real freedom?

I'm up for writing full letters too, let's go back to the seventies and have pen pals all over the world!
Started creating atmosphere of the seventies for ya! Wrote so much, hardly pushed it into the envelope...

Oh, Helgo, I forgot to mention your handwriging. It's something. After I finished reading the message I knew I achieved a new level in use of English. I don't mean it's bad, just very cursive.

Cards from Helgo and Eagle arrived yesterday. Checked the mail box in the morning and was walking around happy all the day after. Thanks.

Alas, my wings are too small. But I can tickle people, because I'm fluffy!  Being fluffy is good and suits this thread nicely! Thanks God I didn't miss the chance to tickle someone!
*tickles Vector while trying to hug*

What a pity I can not into honey :(  Her tea set is not complete

...I should ask the postal staff on what to put in the receiver address, or sender address. I don't know what to PM! ._.
Doesn't your cruel, strict government make you, Plilippines, write your legitimate address in your passport or elsewhere? 'Cause we have that obligatory thing called propiska/registration/residence_permit and the only data missing there is the postal index, which is really necessary. Grandmas usually keep this secret knowledge and I really have NO idea where a grandmaless person can find it out. Another strange part of local postal service... Hope the index part works somehow differently in your country.

Also because of yer signature, Bumblebee, I've to poke at the use of Not only, But also. :P

To be told off for grammar... Yes, that's what I asked for! Thanks. Our next points should be spelling and punctuation..

Vector's letter arrived today. Not only the handwriting and my portrait are beautiful, the envelope is very cute, too. (I wonder if those semicircles were supposed to be my ears. I'm a Bumblebee, not a Cheburashka ) I'm having such a nice day today. Life is beautiful, the girls are beautiful, even the orchestra is beautiful  :D

Tiruin, you're here again. A good day indeed. I'm still waiting for the day when you're brave enough to PM me your address. Your card is lying there alone waiting, too. It's so sad and lonely...  Deliver it from its suffering, m?

Edit: Vector, the weather is pretty. It prettifies my existence.

" Once Cauliflower, Broccoli's relative, would leave his quiet seedbed and set off for adventures." This is the piece of information I've found appropriate to make it travel so far and then live through centuries on this solicitously kept card.

Vector, you drow and write too prettily for a person who claims she can't draw. You should change either your style or your opinion.

Well, I averted my eyes for just a couple of days, and look what happened. I was right about to ask either you or someone at my post office how could all my cards get lost... So happy they've reached their targets at last.

But I have one question to ask anyway: did anyone get a card with some russian handwriting? I can't remember to whom it went and what exactly it was saying , but there was something about a brave broccoli and I'm now curious myself.

Eagle, I owe you a letter, too. Do remember, will start writing it one day. This year, definitely.

Vector, "to prettify " is a pretty wonderful verb. Added it to my active vocabulary, thanks.

Cooking is art. Baking is science.
This. And I do enough science at university, I don't need it in my kitchen as well.

Yep. And I guess I'm on of those people of rare occurence, who don't mind accurate measuring both while doing the job and the cooking, but have to WASH THE DAMN DISHES here and there, too. Cooking is easy, baking is simpe, science is pleasure, but that dishes... They. Are. Bad. The worst thing about this all is coming home after work and hearing that "Could-you-please-wash-them-dear" phrase after having washed a few dozens of flasks and Petri dishes already.

Here is a recipe of my favourite fritters to make it up for the complaints.

They're so spongy if done right. Can absorb jam, honey, sour cream and whatever else nicely.
