Pine battle time! Northern are best!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
First thing to mention about them is the light. They form probably the brightest forests in the world. The second thing is the smell; it's geosmine ALL the time, not only after the rain. Then, these pines won't let anything but moss, bilberry, cowberry and, sometimes, mushrooms grow under them, which fondles my feet and turns on my collecting instinct. The only trifling imperfection in them is the absolute unclimbliness, but it doesn't matter.

It's hard to live in a northern country- you don't have a big assortment when the time to choose a favourite tree comes. I have never ever seen, like, 90% of those you are talking about  :'(

By the way, all of mine are SENT!

I think I just got one from Bumblebee, too? You said something about the post office?

...awaiting
And yes, I did send one to you, though I don't believe it could arrive to USA that quiqly. It was less than a month, right? Well, if anything; my was black-and-white, not subscribed, made of very dense paper and, by some strange coincidence, imaging non-hilarious non-cat oui-ballerina. I don't have that bad habit of signing up my cards.  Why, I didn't even think about it before I put 'em all in the mail box. Silly me. Sorry.

Oh, man, that's some shift in handwriting there, then.
No problem, thanks for the card! Just curious though, why does your card have a different handwriting than the address?
There‘s something misterious about my handwriting indeed. In your case it was the "accurately, accurately, take care of the mailman" and "train a few times before writing it on the postcard itself, find the best style, the best size, impress that guy" difference. Plus I wrote the text in advance,  whereas the address and some comments were added in the post office, which explains the ink inequality.

I received another card from Russia with some beautiful handwriting on it. didn't have time to look at it in detail though, because work, so I didn't yet find out who sent it.
Hilarious ballerina cat  with handwriting. Greetings from my  beehive.I didn't subscribe it, sorry.

Then why did you suspect him in the first place? Why not anyone else? Just curious.

We should ask Avis to find out the truth.

Found a wonderfully Soviet-looking card in the mail today, complete with some wonderful stamps~
This is what sending all the cards in one day result in. They arrives every day, all the time. Activity in the thread!
By the way, if you sent two, then I only got one. The other one I got is from Avis-Mergulus, I believe.
Well, the secong one might be lost. This seems to be a rather common occasion, cause I've sent two to Helgo as well, and where is it? He got only one yet. Though it's strange- you was speaking about kids and dog, and that is what was depicted on the card I sent. May be you was confused by the "accurately, accurately, take care of the mailman" and "argh, fuck it, wrong address anyway"  handwriting difference?

A, it has arrived. Sooner than I expected; I believe Poczta Polska was operating it for 2/12 of the time, not more.
Hope you don't mind having two cards instead of one- I was sending, like, seven of them at a time, got confused and wrote your address twice. The cards were nice so I sent hem both. It's strange that I didn't pay attention to the age of the second one, but this fact makes it even more interesting, doesn't it?

Apparently you have picked up dry miso paste instead of tom yum paste, if google translate can be relied on. The ingredients list includes flour (I think) and fermented soybean (I'm sure of this one), so I think google translate is on the money on this one.

Thanks. I'm a bit disappointed, though it's my own fault- I should have been able to predict that that lady
a) Speaks really poor Russian
b) Won't hesitate to use the opportunity to sell anything

Okay, are there any recipes of   not disgusting miso-soup? The last and only time I tasted it it was the "just add boiling water" type, which tasted like dry rotten fish powder mixed with some usual dust mixed with tiny pieces of tofu, all mixed with water. Which was enough to make it the last time.

Those hieroglyphs are Chinese, Bumblebee. But that's the extent of my knowledge on the matter.
No good. Tom yum is a Thai dish. Still, the probability that all the souse the Thais use for cooking was prodused in China is rather high...
Argh, stupid economics.

And, while I'm here... I'm having lunch right now. Do you wanna know what I'm eating? It's

Since it seems to be a day of Asian cuisine...
My dear frieds, I need help. I bought something supposed to be tom yum base paste. At least the seller lady told me it is. But all the wrapping is covered in strange symbols and the only thing I could understand there was "350 g". So is there anyone who can read this (not even sure which language it is) and tell me what it really is?

Also, any recipes of the soup itself will be much appreciated. I know the general idea, but never tried to cook it myself before.

And yeah, Avis - if I was gay, I'd be looking into opportunities for a semester abroad right now.
Helgo. Knows complimenting.
This should be a trade mark.

It does. But it looks more like a pie than a cake.

It might be a pie. It's just that I don't know what is the difference between a cake and a pie for a better english-speaker than me. You've seen what I call a cake and I was sure that  pies are something like

Now I'm posting here to mark the day when four different cards have started their ways to Vector, Il Palazo, Sheb and EagleV. We should find out how long it will take them to arrive. This observation is supposed to prove that Russian post is superiour in slowliness to Poczta Polska. It has become a question of national pride!
