In Russia there's a thing called "birch sap". It is probably a bad way to translate it, but I don't have a better idea. It's liquid gum gathered in spring by cutting birch bark. Sounds exactly like your birch beer, but it doesn't ferment. Does the birch beer ferment? Is it the same as "birch sap"? And what is "root beer"?

Pine tea, can it exist?
Dunno about pine tea, but I've seen tea with juniper berries, which is also coniferish and full of vitamin C. Apart from the tea, young pine (and fir) needle is very tasty.

A little like drinking heavily scented hot water.
Herbal tea is always like that. Maybe you can try to add some lemon?

I started gathering tea-flowers. Oregano is blooming already. Now my room (where I  dry the herbs) smells witchcrafty.

+1 to opinion that it is awesome!
Reminds me of Girlinhat's metal working. I like the aesthetics c:
Also...maybe the environment wasn't that welcoming when you tried. Maybe make your skills known to close friends, and then maybe a reputation will form and you'll be recognized and acknowledged in that field, if this wasn't known by them already. :D
Though I'm wholly inexperienced with these, they really look good, to repeat once more.
Thanks, Tiru!
And for the recomendations, too. Though I never really wanted to sell things I make to strangers. But I follow some people who do arts of different kinds for living. I noticed that their popularity obviously correlates with the amount of posts/ things they make in {unit of time}. I can't force myself to work with beads every day...
...and that is why I don't do this for living.
But I'm very-very pleased that you liked it.

I bet you can actually make a living making those and selling them online.
Nope. I tried once and nobody was interested. Very sad.

So I made another thing. It's something like a beaded tie.

The stone has a pin on its back and can be used as a broche.

And there are small earrings made of the same stone balls. The stone is blue aventurine. Balls are natural and the cabochon is fake.

The unofficial rule of the lab is that anything you find in the cafeteria left outside the fridge is fair game, and over the years a lot of booze has accumulated, which me and my advisor are perfectly willing to clean up. The tomato juice was leftovers from a recent conference.
You're speaking about your lab, and your thesis and all. But I don't know who you are. I mean, what's your job? Will you tell me?

P. S. I have the "safe with a source of inspiration" in my lab  ;)

"Yes-yes. And we'll do the boring part and go sell the loot. By the way, is there a slave market in the Ports? We can make use of - she nods -  those guys." She pauses and resumes: "Wonderful. I just love pretending to be a merchant. That's for me. A, and I don't mind parting you, object of my animosity." Now Jen sounds more enthusiastic. "Good idea. Lets do it. "
