DF Modding / Some random mod questions related to a mod that I am maybe thinking about doing.

Let me start by saying that I am very new to modding, I have read a lot about it and I know how it basically works but the actual modding I've done is minimal. with that out of the way here are my questions

1
is there a mod that removes non european creatures from Dwarf fortress? fantastical creatures optional. based on a mixture of immersion and OCD I've always been slightly bothered by all of the exotic animals in Dwarf fortress. I do appreciate that random exotic creature are part of the atmosphere that make dwarf fortress so great however for my personal gameplay and for my mod I would prefer it to be more thematic. I think I would know how to do this myself, I just figured I'd ask incase it could remove some tedious work on my part.

are custom sites and structures a thing that you can do? if it is a thing I am sure that it would be beyond my abilities. I just figured I'd ask. If it is than something someone could start could be a data bank of custom sites and structures for other modders to use. anyone could submit one and anyone could use one. I would try to do that myself but as stated before new to modding

that's all I have. If I have anymore questions I'll post them here instead of starting a new topic.

Alright let's see if this works. I'm going to provide a starting point using a random generator and we're all going to write a story.

To keep confusion to a minimum I'll keep a list of people who want to participate. That way we have a writing order so people don't accidentally write at the same time. if you want a turn just say so and I'll put you on the list.

In general you should write about a paragraph. Please try to keep it at least a little serious, while comedy is ok I want it to resemble a cohesive story at the end.

So without further ado here's the starting point.

The orb of La-mazratof has gone missing....again. The orb of La-mazratof is a strange orb, mostly because the orb isn't just an orb, It is infact the mad god La-mazratof himself in orb form. As both being mad, and a god, the orb does not exactly follow the laws of the universe very well, and has once again vanished. Three layers of acronium plating and a matter dis-modulator and it can still just vanish on a whim. you four have been tasked with retrieving it, an easy task because the orb left glowing coordinance where it disappeared from. It is for this very reason you have been instructed to use EXTREME CAUTION!!!! who knows what the hell this orb is planning.

Before we get started I need four players, first come first serve, all you need to provide is your name, age, gender, and description.
the first four characters will be Curators for the Royal Museum of Inter-Galactic Oddities
Other people will get the chance to join later but the rules for later characters will be more restricted.

Here's something I wanna try i'm going to present a basic story plot I pulled from a random generator and you all gonna write it. Just write the section that comes immediately after the previous and we'll see what kind of ungodly horror fest we can get.

now, since this is a very freeform thing and can have all sorts of problems I'll be presenting a set of basic rules

so without further ado here we go "The story is about an anthropologist who suffers from a chronic disease. It takes place in a world-spanning nation on a post-apocalyptic planet. The creation of a magical artifact plays an important role."
