DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Issue with codices and stocks screen

I just got back into dwarf fortress and I bought some books from the dwarven merchants. I finally built a library only to discover that none of the books I bought are showing up in the stocks screen. I assumed that I just hadn't actually bought them, but then my scholars started reading some books. What's going on, is this a bug or am I missing something?

So over the weekend, I was given a copy of the Elder Scrolls Online my a family member. They didn't play anymore so they were giving it to someone who would. So after installing the game for 16 hours and fixing an error an error that prevented it from launching I come to discover that the pc copy cannot be resold or even regifted because it needs a one time use cd key. So you know you can never resell it ever for any reason, I now hate Bethesda.

So I am bored with my current mod and can't decide what to do next. Here are the links to the Wikipedia pages for both Gravity Falls and The Dragon Masters.

I have two cave crocodiles one male one female :D The issue is that the male is named because he killed two of my dorfs. the wiki article on training says that if I train and then release the named one it will attack my dorfs. So my question is if I train the female and then put both of them in a pen will the male attack the female?

Alright, so I read about this somewhere, I'm not quite sure where. The idea is we take turns building a mod, by tweaking or adding, but not destroying anything.

Rules

So here are the rules, we start with a df file with only basic raws meaning plants, inorganics, reactions, buildings, tissue templates, descriptors,  body detail plans, and maybe some others, dfhack installed. each turn is four (4) real life days, then after the person's turn is up they post it on dffd for the next person to take there turn, then repeat. you may make small tweaks for compatibility but you can't outright destroy, rename, or any way deface the people before you's work. you are required to add a mega-beast named after you. Once your turn is up please write a short summary of what you did.

Just post below if you want to sign up, If you want a certain spot just say so I will try to accommodate you. If for some reason you can't take your turn/can't complete your turn you will be readded to the list at the end, if you so wish.

This mod adds two new playable civilizations the Oath Born, the Humans of Noble Birth, and multiple new weapons.

The Oath Born will either be goblin, human, dwarven, or elven. The defining characteristics of the oath born are there high stats, high quality steel called Tamahagane (based on L6 tool steel), and martial trances. In fortress mode you can quickly set up dormitories/bedrooms by using hammocks (beds made out of cloth). In adventure mode you can make create shrukins (all manner of throwing weapons) out of the bones of dead enemies.

The Humans of Noble Birth are masters of alchemy and magic. In fortress mode you can transmute lead to iron, iron to copper, and copper to gold at the alchemist's workshop. You can also create metal humanoid pets called automatons out of copper. You can then use the automatons In conjunction with powerful mages (females shoot poison, males shoot fire) to defend your fortress. In adventure mode playing
as a mage allows you to quickly take down enemies via magic spells.

The new weapons available to the Oath Born are:
the kattana, a sharp sword that is quite good at hacking of limbs;
nunchucks;
bostaff;
shrukins (any thrown weapon, all of them are fired using the shrukin throwing glove), shakins (throwing stars), throwing knives, chakrams (technically not Japanese, but who could resist sharp metal Frisbees of death).

The new weapons for the Humans of Noble Birth are:
the long bow, bigger more powerful bow.


Planned features:
more custom weapons for the HoNB;
more spells for the mages;
giving HoNB immunity to poison;
community suggestions.

I made a custom building and several reactions using, but when I build the workshop the reactions do not show up. All of my headings are correct, all of the file names are correct, I have permitted the reaction in the entity file.
