Would it be possible to retire each adventurer in the same place, gradually building up a harem hardened party of adventurers? Whoever manages to survive tutors the new guy.

At any rate - even if we're not getting our turn for a week or more, toss up the world save once you have it, so we can go digging around in the legends viewer for interesting people and places!

I like the birdman suggestion, actually. But we're not just any old bird, we're a bird-man. We should have some dignity, and only steal noteworthy items, like the fingers of our foes crowns belonging to noteworthy dead people.

I'd like to join in the fun. My first succession game of any sort, if so!

(will ninja this post with suggestions in an hour) I just went ahead and added a new post below, instead.

Hmm, no, that doesn't look like it. It was a 2d top down grid based game. Beyond that my memory is fuzzy. I think it had more pokemon-esque turn based battle mechanics. I remember a cave. I think there were hills and mountain tiles and you couldn't travel across the mountains. That's all that comes to mind.

Hah, I remember this one. There was another one with more more adventure/rpg mechanics too that I can remember vaguely. Best of luck!

Awesome work with this one, evictedSaint. Really added a nice touch of character to the situation.

Oh god, I had dramatic music on and that just killed me.

RIP Dwarf4Explosives, who went out like he lived: with a bang.

Hello forumites. EvictedSaint, this story has been fantastic thus far. I've been following since Thanksgiving of last year, so I figure it's only right that I make an account on these forums and thank you for your work.

There seem to be a lot of us lurkers floating around this thread, judging by the amount of new accounts posting here. Don't believe the reader count poll, your work has been a pleasure for many more of us than just those who stand up to be counted.

Honestly, I've probably spent more time reading this story than I have playing Dwarf Fortress. You've crafted a wonderful story out of the chaos and madness that is DF. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this!
