"Probably best to hear it from Hagen himself, when we wrap up here. Don't want the brigands to get a chance while they see us chatting away, do we?"
"..."
"A-Apologies, milady. I am Earl Albin's retainer, Astrid Frei. I should have recognized you, I was not expecting to run into royalty here... I'd get down to kneel, but that is likely unwise in a battle, so I'll have to leave it at a salute for now..."
"We were in the nearby village when it was assaulted by brigands from this camp. We helped fend off the attack, and Lord Hagen decided it best to deal with the threat more thoroughly before it could grow even worse."
"Woah-" Astrid grunted, pulling her horse to a stop before she could entirely ride past the woman who she'd suddenly encountered upon moving around some of the trees. She'd expected the noises she'd heard to be Amara coming back around after butchering her way through the southern enemies, but in hindsight, there wasn't nearly enough clanking of plate for that. Plan Angelic Assist
Plan Don't Lose Dolgot (2): Xantalos, Twinwolf
Mirka and Estela
Estela's unit was assigned to a rear guard position. Thanks to their excellent dueling potential, their job was to ambush any enemy that tried to sneak through the front lines. To that end, Iona was stationed a ways up, using her crossbow's ability to camouflage her into the terrain to keep watch. She provided the rest of the unit regular updates, all of which thus far had been some varation of, "Nothing yet." It was a fairly boring position at this point in the battle, but if an enemy managed to break through then it was going to be among the most important anchors, which meant tons of excitement.
"I've got something." Iona finally disrupted the monotony with interesting news, "It's a bit weird though, there's a lone Katrian officer walking this way. I tried raising her on the radio but just got outside chatter. Not sure what to make of it. Over."
