I thought amber was a gem.

Unfortunatley, we can't genetically synthesize giant megabeasts from a time before time out of vermin entobed in amber, yet :P, that'll have to be a later release.

Are coral FBs are a hint that sea FBs (AKA Krakens hype hype hype) will someday be added in the game?


I think that's more a hint that coral will be added.  Forgotten beasts just take any material, Coral is a material, so it takes it.

I've had forgotten beasts made out of vomit and blue diamond.  Coral FBs probably hint at coral reefs or more entertaining seascapes.

Quick thought:

Wouldn't the coins system cause the broken clutter of coins everywhere that plagued the original economy?

Also, we go into detail on semi-independent academies on an earlier thread, for schools.  Which goes onto other threads..

I already did. But go ahead, we're all waiting upon your interpretation, keep in mind we're not given any idea of what these one eyed brutes look like other than they have one eye, they're a brute and they're about 4x the size of a dorf.

You might see that.  Just replace Craftsman or whatever with... I'm not sure... I'm looking around but I can't find the ID for forge.

On the contrary, I expect quantum mechanisms to be eliminated later on for being too abusive of game mechanics.  The only real reason they work now is that they've been grandfathered in from a more game-y period of time, and because the lack of sub-tile constructions that would make having some sort of rope or chain hanging along the side of the wall that can be tugged to cause something further down the line isn't really feasible yet.

That's why I suggested the visible pipes.  I'm not sure if visible pipes would solve the FPS problems... though.

I like this.  It'd make waterworking much easier, especially upward.

Also, I guess you could combine this with a screw pump to bring water upward...

Although, I do like the idea of a visible flowing system of pipes, so if toady wouldn't want to go the gamey route,  he could use bunch of pipes going from place to place, but still having the water traverse near instantly to lower all the FPS murder.

Also, I'd like to see the water traverse through the pipes if they're made of green glass, should he take route B)

I added reactions to a craftsdwarf table.  You can just add a reaction to a certain workshop, as well as make custom workshops.

How do the taverns work for Elves or Goblins? Dwarves and humans seem like they'd be pretty standard 'put walls around a tap and some chairs' affair. Do Elves and Goblins have taverns? Do they even have a cultural equivalent, or are you thinking that Elves/Goblins do something radically different as a passtime?

I don't believe so.  No creatures in the game currently eat everything so I don't think there's a way to model that.
