DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your fort?

The expandition leader was attacked by a cave crocodile and fell into the lake.
But he managed to crawl out of the water and survived. Although he might need to carry a crutch for the rest of his life without a dfhack heal.
I had a dwarf titled the Brewmeister who was in an almost identical situation. He killed a dozen cavern critters, including a GCS, with his crutch. Then I gave him a lead one.

Don't you dare heal that dwarf.

I just realised, why not a platinum one?

The new elf sheriff killed 6 citizens and jailed another 5, all of them were legendary warriors in bronze or steel full armors.

Reloaded the save. :-X

The pathing bug is probably related to visitors pathing down into pools and then returning back into them if teleported out.

Yesterday I saw some guests fought keas and fell  into a 6/7 murky pool. They couldn't move after that, even after I channeled around the pool to lower the water level to 3/7.
Normaly they should at least try to swim, but they were just still like the FB. Winter was near when I closed the game, I guess I need to dig them out next summer. :P

Well, sometimes I feel guests are better source of migrants because at least you have a choice. What's more, you don't need to get a vampire if you want your fort to last forever. I prefer goblins over elves because they don't drink, but for that reason, they can get unhappy thoughts.
And for some reason, most of the bard types have battle skills.

Yeah, if you view them in the stocks menu (press z then select stocks), the books show in dark red.

This is a superior quality large Lural Seamines the Night of Sullying's forgotten beast silk cloak. It is sized for humans. It is made from finely-crafted Lural Seamines the Night of Sullying's forgotten beast silk cloth.

This is a damned long name for a cloak.

One good aspect of insect/spider shaped creatures is they don't have a skull.
So you can see a dwarf one punch KO a spider forgotten beast out of pure luck.

You can fish pond turtles in a digged well in the cavern, for some reason.

Interesting. All my guests are bards, peots, mercenaries and various kinds of purple professions. Though they do have different skills, but I have yet to see one with other profession titles.

The random generator must be against me. After I destroyed all silver spike traps and replaced them with glass spike traps after a fire fb accident, a green glass fb came, and a deadly one with a dust attack. I abandoned the save and reloaded an old one, because having a full squads of blistered soldiers is not fun.

My current fort now has fewer guests than it was used to have.
I wonder if they were generated during world gen, or will be generated while the fort is running.

Weapon traps with silver weapons can be destroyed by a hot target.
And silver weapons become silvers (weight 6, basic value 10).

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Items in wheelbarrow?
« on: December 27, 2016, 01:08:51 am »
 ::)

For some reason, there are multiple items in wheelbarrows and dorfs don't unload them like they should.
Anybody knows why?
