The waitress smiled sweetly, though there was a hint of something else in there. The kind of smile you get when someone stubs their toe. "Brave soul. Will that be all?" She was taking down the order on the pad she carried. "Water? It's pretty spicey, I'll warn ya."

[DM MODE!]

Dom soon found himself essentially accosted by a curly haired waitress not much older than he was in a old fashioned uniform. "All on yer lonesome, dahlin'?" her southern twang was almost violent. "What can I help ya with?" no one paid the young man much attention. In fact, the place seemed to gather a motley crowd of missfits of all ages. He was rather normal compared to some.

Idunna took a deep breath, tasting the air. "Smells like magic." She declared, moving in past the witch hidden behind the counter into the library, looking around. She began to pace the walls, reading titles at random under her breath. "Got a lot more... atmosphere than the school library, for sure. Feels like you could uncover one of those mystical tomes from the stories here."

Idunna had spent sunday morning asking around who was interested in visiting the library they'd found last weekend and herding the lot together into a vaguely organized group before taking off. Herself and Alex at the head -- one a bit further ahead than strictly necessary because vampire -- as they headed through the city. Idunna pointing things out to the group at large and thinking aloud very cheerfully, discussing plans and the places found during saturdays exploratory expedition.

Alfrbok wasn't an imposing building. An expensive looking old city villa with a worn wooden facade and three floors that seemed to lean just slightly, or maybe that was just the imagination of the onlookers. It'd be easy to dismiss as some old and worn down residence if it wasn't for the only partially functioning hologram sign over the door, slightly lop-sided itself.

ALFRBOK
Volumes Arcane

Once inside, guests were greeted with an oppressive quiet - so thick you could cut it with a knife - and a musky but homely atmosphere. The hallway had been modified to a sort of improvised storefront. A counter window set into the right hand wall. Behind the stacks of books on the counter sharp eyes could glimpse the bell-topped tips of a two-headed witches hat and virtually nothing else. Still, when the door closed behind the group a monotone but not unfriendly voice came from within the book-fort.

"Welcome to Alfrbok. If you're looking for anything specific let me know. Be careful with the books, some of them are older than the state, 'Kay?" A single intensely yellow eye looking over a stack of books at them at the final word, making sure they were listening.

The library itself was not so much a library as a private residence where every room on the first two floors had been converted into a study and storage space for what seemed to be endless volumes. The sheer amount of them and the conservation of space made shelves rather limited in use. Mostly there were stacks and piles containing the less asked for grimoires and manuscripts while the more popular texts were organized in neated rows with seemingly mathematical precision. The place practically oozed with organized chaos and a feeling of privacy and secrecy.

Idunna just shrugged and made a sort of 'nevermind' gesture. "Yeah, I was gonna go explore today. Anyone else?" She was probably hoping to have more of a buffer between her and the vampires.

Screeen Fade, phase moving on to sunday by popular vote.

Idunna had spent her second week much the same as the first. With abundant curiosity and a generally easy nature. She was forming routines by now. Wake up. Apply woad. Wake Bernie. Go running (Sometimes with newly woken Bernie). Make breakfast while the violin played. And then study with obvious enthusiasm. She'd also started spending the evenings attempting to bond with her dorm mates or devoting herself to quite new-agey habits. Like meditation. Or painting.

Weekend: Explore, Study Runecrafting at Alfrbok

Idunna was sitting in the couch, legs in full lotus, and an aggressively fluffy towel over her head while the others began discussing weekend plans. "Call me Dora." outdated reference there. "I've been keeping an ear to the ground and there's a lot of interesting places around town I'd like to see."

157
Idunna gave Alex a clever little smirk. "Only if they're percentages of the same thing. What if her 50% are based on the 140%?"

158
Wellp. There's no not picking that up. Vegetarian? "Well that's ironic."

159
It took a moment longer than her usual come-one-come-all kind of attitude. But Idunna wasn't heartless enough to brush Lily off. "More the merrier, right? Are you okay in sunlight? ... Do you eat food?" Was there any point in getting gator sausage if you can't eat food?

160
Idunna was in the process of stepping into her shoes, having re-emerged in a baggy but short t-shirt and torn one-legged jeans. She put a hand on Alex shoulder for balance (B-bob was too tall) when responding. "Wanna come get some gator sausage, Alex?" she pronounced 'gator sausage' in a imitation of B-bob, all smiles and giggles. "Dom and Bernie are coming too unless I'm totally kidding myself. You should come. It'll make us like 40% classier."

161
Idunna didn't comment much on her first week while the others were talking. Just continued to weave a brightly gleaming braid (somehow being brought together like that just made the hair reflect light more) and listening. Though she did take the cup with a quiet  "Thanks." As she ran out of braid to excuse her from the conversation though, she was rescued by B-bob. She immediately shot to her feet with a bounce like an acrobat. "Congratulations, big guy!" she started, pattering on up and giving him a playful punch to the shoulder. "Hey. We were thinking of having a look around the city. Got any places to recommend?" She didn't ask him to show them around. Rather, as soon as he'd mentioned a place or two worth seeing she slunk off to the room to acquire shoes and clothes that would not boil her alive. Time to get going!

162
Lily was met with a blue-green eye peeking through untamed golden bangs. But it wasn't until she spoke to the room at large that Idunna actually greeted her. "Good morning! I wouldn't mind some tea if you're boiling water anyway.." She idly began to gather up and braid her hair, watching the TV without actually seeing anything.

163
Idunna looked over her shoulder, spotting Bernie. "Welcome back! Help yourself" gesturing to the stove. "The more the merrier." She turned back to Dom. "No. I was but you may assume direct control of the airwaves."

164
Idunna gave a idle, patient sort of smile. "Looking for places to go check out. I figured I might as well find all the interesting places if I'm going to be living here." she put the phone away with a sigh. "The problem is... the coolest places won't show up on a tourist list. I should ask the big guy." B-Bob was local, after all.

165
Idunna looks up to Dom when he sits down, tearing her eyes from the screen of her phone and focusing on him through a curtain of gold hair. "Any plans?" she greeted. "Didn't know how you guys liked your eggs so I just made them all the same." she added, referring to the omelettes.
