If anyone here misses Cross Star Reverse (Yep, that's how it's pronounced.) then they're about to get nostalgic.
Name: Coda. (nobody bothered giving them a name, so he just went with Coda.)
Maturity: Physically and mentally, about 17-18. Chronologically, who knows?
Abnormality: Has a demonic chain with a demonic sword attached to it coming out of his tailbone, as well as some amount of demon blood in his veins. Also seems to maybe have some amount of demonic powers?
Appearance: Coda is a guy who stands a bit on the short side, and seems rather skinny. He has medium-length jet-black hair. He wears a long black coat with an intricate gray pattern, as well as dark gray pants and shoes. It's rare to see him without the coat; he's very reluctant to take it off. Attached at the tailbone is a chain of some ebony-black metal, at the end of which is a misshapen sword made of the same material. These are often hidden within Coda's coat, but sometimes they are revealed, especially when Coda gets angry.
Personality: Coda is not very outgoing. He rarely talks to someone he doesn't know, and even more rarely goes out in search of someone to befriend. To those he hasn't already made friends with, he seems somewhat cold and doesn't really talk about himself, but if one manages to befriend him, he starts to open up quite a bit.
Backstory: Coda doesn't remember much about his past. As far as he can tell, he spent most of his life in a fugue state (not even sure how he knows what that means) but he at least knows two things about himself: He was born with a spaded demon's tail and some amount of demon blood in his veins, and his parents got rid of him before even bothering to name him because of that. All he remembers before being hauled off to Daybreak (not against his will, mind you) is about a lot of vague memories of wandering--sometimes through populated areas and sometimes not--followed by a few consecutive weeks of consciousness spent wandering aimlessly in a forest.
Other Notes: Coda's chain and sword is actually a prehensile appendage. A tail, really. If he gets too angry or is legitimately threatened, he tends to lose control, since his demon side starts coming forth when this happens. Also, the chain gets longer, and he gains increased control of both it and the blade at the end of it. A clear sign of when he's really losing control is when the gray pattern on his jacket, as well as his eyes, glow blood red.
Also for some reason he really likes the taste of fresh blood. Can't get enough.
