Take your time, Nakeen!

Indeed. Quite curious how quickly these three fellows have found each other. However, we haven't the necessary essence to split equitably, therefore I would suggest the greater shares go to the pair who suffered worst in the conflict.
Assuming no objections, Terrence splits the essence as follows: 3 for him, 3 for Vel, 2 for Artomal. After that, he follows suit to Vel, resting in the spilled unlife energy of his fallen foes.

You’re fine nakeen! I am quite relieved and overjoyed at your return in fact, since you are quite good with weaving the tales together even when there was little to start with other than a concept of a character! Not everyone can be imaginative enough to do that over such a long span of time, and yet you do so effectively!
Even If you arnt able to continue the story, you have a place among friends here and shouldn’t forget it. You can’t disappoint us, though your long disappearance did have a few of us worried. It’s good to see you are alive and well, and I pray you stand firm in the face of your depression knowing that people on the internet care about you!
This! So much of this! Dustan, you have perfectly encapsulated the feelings of myself and so many others here! You can't disappoint us, Nakeen, and we're all pushing for you to stand tall and firm against depression!

...anyway, I'll put up some pre-turn dialogue up next here. So glad to see you back again, Nakeen!

Terrence corralled the essence from the rippers, knowing it would have to be absorbed soon else it would fade.
Bravely fought once again, my friend. I am not in the best of shapes, but it seems you have suffered yet worse than I. But then, of course, comes the matter of divvying our spoils... Artomal, have you any use for these creatures' essence?

Chef papyrus is already sealed in bones. He will happily give you many more bones besides that, however. Bone attacks, to be specific.

I may be anxious, but life doesn't care about my anxiety. You make that turn when you're good and ready, Nakéen!

Well, now we've got two badly wounded fighters. However, one of them only has one adversary...
Retreat, drawing my three rippers away but doing everything I can to avoid getting hit by their claws. As I take off, call back to my companions.

"Help Vel! I will return!"

Well, I'm getting the short corner of this triangle.
Vel and the specter whose name I CANNOT remember are doing a lot better than I am; continue fighting, but focus more on defense; try to last until the others can give me a hand.

keep up the attack! Hold the rippers in our triangular grasp as long as possible; if nothing else, it'll be a handy formation if we have to run!

Ok, there's a lot of them, but if we get the first strike and whittle down their numbers from the start, we can probably take them...

Terrence picks a hole and attemts to store himself compactly hidden inside, ready to jump out! Have Artomal step back a bit, putting Terrence between himself and the many-armed barbarians. Have Vel try to hide between the other two, off to one side, forming a triangular formation. When the barbarians arrive, wait for them to either A: get more or less surrounded with in our triangular formation or B: discover either of the hidden fighters. When either of those conditions happen, leap out of hiding and attack!

(of course this is all under the assumption that Artomal is willing to fight. If not, that changes things a bit...)

Well, a collapsable skeleton can spring up from a 2 meter hole or cliff for an effective surprise attack... don't know so much about Vel. Say, about how many shapes are headed towards us?

An ambush would be a good idea... Is there anything our party could hide behind and/or inside of? barring that, if, hypothetically, Vel and I were to lay on the ground and pose as the rest of the corpses that litter this battlefield, unmoving, would we still have some aura or something that the brutes would likely be able to notice?

"Then I shall gladly keep watch for their approach! Truly, a fine use of my... Unique anatomy."

Terrence is keeping watch! If there are any hills that are in the immediate area, he motions for the others to accompany him and heads up. Once the group is settled (hill or no) Terrence makes use of his detachable limbs: he grabs onto the bases of his lower arms with his upper arms, clasps his skull in his lower hands, and raises his skull up high to scan the field from an elevated viewpoint. Those bandits won't be sneaking up on us!

((By the way, I think you accidentally put Vel's line in Terrence's colors.))

Terrence gladly accepted the handshake, feeling a warm kinship in his companion.

"Then push forward, we shall. To greatness?

The Gentleman's Proposal
"Ah, so I see. Truly regrettable that one should run afowl of such savages, though as you can surely see, they most likely will not have the advantage in simple number of limbs."

Terrence cheekily waved both of his right hands add a visual punchline to his jest.

"I would be most pleased to offer my aid to you. It is a rare treat to find one so lucid amid the brutish husks that wander these fields.

Respite
Terrence seemed to scratch at an imaginary beard. Even with an extra skeleton's worth of bones, some old habits seem to persist...
"I had not considered that possibility... Somehow, the thought of remembering, say, a wife and children awaiting their husband, such ideas do not intimidate me. Far more frightful, I find, is the fear of being lost. To be left shambling through the realm with neither memory nor purpose. It begs me to wonder why I am so quick to fear the concept... I suppose undead find great influence in their life, thus perhaps my life felt simply unfulfilled? Regardless, I hope to find more memories of my past. The flame of curiosity burns bright, Vel, and I greatly wish to see it tended."

The Gentleman's Proposal
"Barbarians, you say? A pity. The tales of such savages vex me to no end. I suppose they are adequately well-armed, yes? Or did the ruffians rely on numbers alone when they assailed you?"

Vel answered with a nostalgic tone.
"Ah yes, the past life... I felt the same, truthfully."

Then followed an odd silence, heavy of thoughts. Vel broke it, saying the words that were weighing him.
"Don't they hurt you? These memories of yore. Mine... do. I see faces. I hear voices. I remember feelings. I know they belong to me, yet they feel so distant. These times, I wonder 'Who am I?', 'Are these memories really mine?'. How about you friend?"

Terrence paused in quiet thought.
"These voices you speak of, Vel... I envy you for they have been all but silent since the moment I arose. Granted, it was not long ago -- in fact, you were one of the first creatures I met after arising -- but my name is all they have surrendered to me. Beyond a simple name, A name befitting a noble, I hear nothing but a subtle urge, a desire that drives me forward. It is why I seek to raise an army, my friend. My very being calls out for me to conquer, to rule as much as I can, as though... As though holding the lands in my influence were my very birthright. Sadly, as of yet, it has proven to be the extent of my memory. That quiet urging to seize renown is all I know of my past self."
