General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O

I think that's as far as that website will go, Xanty. Perhaps try a different website with a different filter, and THEN put it through again?
+1

Not to impugn your artistic abilities, but was that drawn in MS Paint???

{The one we have is actually a full Forgotten Beast who happens to be very small, Forgotten nuisances are less powerful. You just tried to freeze a monster with blood made of molten steel.

Actual post once I finish waking up.}
((No, that was just a fire into blank space.))
((Either way, oh.))
((And I think that forgotten beast blood is its own entry.  But yeah.))

Welcome back!  Also, yay!

I'm getting a new drawing tablet, until then I can't guarantee any updates.
>All: PRAISE THE MIRACULOUS POST GOD FOR HE HAS GIVEN HIS FOLLOWERS AN AMAZING BOON!  THE COVETED STATUS UPDATE, SECOND ONLY TO THAT OF THE CONTENT UPDATE, HAS APPEARED BEFORE OUR VERY EYES!  REJOICE!

I walk into the caverns, followed by Flare the ruby dragonhawk familiar construct, in "testing stuff gear", which is mostly very thick padding and explosionproofing glyphs.
I then notice the cage.
And the Forgotten Nuisance within (mini-FB).
"Yike."
"That needs repair."
"Also, what base?"
"I think you mean fort."
((By the way, you might want to color not-you differently from you, endlessblaze.))
"Anywho.  Stuff to test, so stay behind me."
I then take aim with the Distance Entropy Denial Ray (not technically a ray) (DEDR) and fire a shot at 10/1 U (distance/radius) on freeze mode.
"It worked.  I can feel the chill from here."
((Amp?  Your decision on just how well it worked.  This is medium-effectiveness size, for reference.))
Flare notices the FN in the cage and flies over inquisitively.

Now that's annoying.

@Pyrefly; We escaped the caverns, you entered a coma to heal- which has now ended -Biggerfish made a tiny dragon-homunculus out of rubies and !!Magiscience!!, I made a shitty submachine gun, and there's a new staircase.
You forgot "blatant defiance of thermodynamics".
And it's not a homunculus.  It's a construct.

Autism...Depends on how bad you have it whether it's good or bad.

A doctor notices Pyrefly's awakening with surprise.

"Welcome back to the land of the living. I'm afraid we weren't able to do much for you other than keep you warm and safe while you replaced the damaged bits of exoskeleton, though it would seem rather odd that a full comatose hibernation period is necessary to rebuild a few plates. Perhaps it was arcane backwash."
((Oh, come on.  Blame the magus...))

I wonder if it would be possible to have a traditional antagonistic PvE encounter, in which both sides are played by players.
Have you tried hack-and-slash R.P.G.s, Dungeons and dragons for example, with a human Game-master? Possibly the single greatest moment in computer-gaming history was when someone realised that they could have all the dungeon-looting joys of a table-top R.P.G. but without needing a group of people...
D&D is all and well, but I think you missed the "both sides controlled by players" bit.  GMing something is LOTS OF WORK because you have to MAKE things.  The theory is, there's a bunch of premade stuff that NON-GMs control.

But seriously, D&D would have been mentioned if D&D was what was wanted, methinks.

Also, re: Close fight mechanics:
HP % remaining on the heroes averaged over the last thirty seconds of the fight or something.

What did I miss (again)?
I finished a Big Project, Amp made a functional gun, you healed fully.
((Refreshing adds to viewcount.  Much sad.))

==A Freshly Excavated Workshop==
"Looks like..Yup."
Everything appears properly set up.  ((And by appears, I mean is))
"Right.  Time to work on this."
A bit of work occurs, culminating in the production of a Nether Cap based freeze ray.  Well, not a freeze ray, but the device sucks in heat from a target point.  Currently-unsightable (or out of range) targets are welcome to the 'grenade' form, one of which is also produced.  ((They're reuseable.))  Range setting is manual, at the moment (slider, 3-50 Urists with AoE being a sphere of 2U radius or less, also manually set with a limit down to about .1U (note that the effect will be more powerful in smaller areas) ), as the AI complex enough to determine a target based on intent is not supported on the stone these are made of.
The capability to increase heat is also added, on a toggle switch.

Of course, I'm not DONE, but this is a quick job, mostly simply applying an enchant and some logic.
The real work starts when I have the sapphires collected and another pair of diamonds.
((Basic supplies, like wood and some basic spools of metal and all, are not mentioned in that list.))

In other news, a game in Games You Wish Existed has turned out to exist in potentia!

Exists already. Can't remember the name but it's due to be released on PC and XBone, I think.
Then find it!
Must...have...awesome...
While you are being very rude, I went and looked it up anyway.
Fable Legends.
You're welcome.
