Cake is awesome.  I can't see how anyone can not like cake.

Now Pie, Pie is the devil disguised as a dessert that everyone only says they like because others do.  The only good pie is a chocolate pie.  (and even then only the ones from Burger King. I would be suspicious of others)
No, sir/madam, you are WRONG.  Dangerous Pie is BEST pie.  ((Google them.))
((And yes I did mean all their pies.  Well, all the sweet pies.  I've never actually tried a savory pie.  Probably should at some point but not in the near future.))

Exists already. Can't remember the name but it's due to be released on PC and XBone, I think.
Then find it!

Not really a game per se, but more of a possibility of a game mechanic:

I wonder if it would be possible to have a traditional antagonistic PvE encounter, in which both sides are played by players. That is, one side is a traditional group facing off against a powerful dungeon or raid boss, but that raid boss is controlled by a player themselves. Not aligned to PvP progression in any way, but mostly just... what would the result be if you had a human intelligence behind a raid boss' ability use?

Properly incentivizing both sides would be a problem. Well, the group has their usual incentive to win, but something has to exist to keep the Enemy from simply picking their nose while the group knocks over a loot pinata. Perhaps make it require a significant investment to queue up for the command encounter, to the degree that anyone queuing up does so out of selfishness for the rewards (so they have a strong incentive to win, otherwise they need to waste many hours/resources re-keying to become eligible to queue again). Probably reduced/secondary rewards for the loser in either case, maybe tiered for the Enemy if they put up a good show (if you could somehow categorize a "near loss" for example).

Maybe have some semi-autonomous nature to the encounter as well. Like, maybe you're not controlling just one unit, but a small group (think the various "council" fights seen in WoW) and you can hop between units to command them directly, or even hop out entirely and take a broader, tactical view...
THIS.
SOMEONE MAKE THIS.

A weird thing to be happy about, but Gunner-chan has been a lot more focused lately. Okay that's not the weird part.

The weird part is she's gone back to trying to make an actual functional chainsword. Which is well, hilariously dangerous but she seems happy being actually focused on something.

Plus she finally took my advice and decided to rethink who her real friends always were.

Has she seen the functional chainsword someone printed out on a 3d printer?

Sadly the website is broken right now but I guess they have a FB page or something that should have it?
THE CHAINSWORD IS REAL.  ALL HAIL THE GREAT MR FROG.

I never have enough time to sit down and update Descent.

...they're far away from Nova Scotia, right? I don't want to have to add that to the list of things to watch for, since it's sort of a written list on the fridge that results in a lot of awkward questions.

Especially that time I had a friend who was related to a Cop over.
Huh.  Guess where I'm currently vacationing.

{It'd be cool if other people would post more. I realize I'm the GM, but that mostly applies during combat encounters or conversations with NPCs, not between-drama RP sessions. Also, I think Moods are limited to once every other month at a maximum.}

Looking faintly bemused; "If you want a personal workshop, feel free to commission one. It's what I did once I realized what I'd be doing here."

I finish assembling the gun on the table, work the bolt a few times, and begin loading a crude box magazine with obviously hand-forged brass cartridges.

"Want to watch me burn my eyebrows off when this thing breaks in a way I didn't know to expect?"

((One: It's been a month.  We skipped over the month line.))
((EDIT:Every other?  Eh.  See point #2.))
((Two: Inspiration particles and reactions to != mood.  I will make it overabundantly clear if I mood.))

Why is it that I seem to consistently spend days and days obsessively-balancing mods for succession forts only for the real threat to be something stupid, like medical malpractice or tiny kleptomaniacs with shitty bows? (Admittedly it's only been twice now, but that's twice too many)

Lots of fun journal fodder this update, so I guess it's time for me to get to writing *grumble grumble*

On the upside, at least we didn't end up Waterburned in this kobold encounter (look under "Epic Fail.") Iton was probably only killed because her squad is, at present, going to be last to get its kit discounting, weapons. Her mace was also produced, rather tragically, right after she was killed.
Yer link is broken.

((Splint!  Splint!  Rah rah rah!))
((The kobolds don't want IN to the fort, they want OUT of the jungle!  That was obviously a message arrow!  Or...Multiple message arrows!!!))

(Finally) decided to read Ender's Game and realized I didn't like it. The characters, while not particularly interesting, played their role of backed up a poorly-thought plot with solid execution. I'm almost inclined to say that the book is overrated, but I don't want to make myself feel like an insecure contrarian. The mental turmoil, though not as strong as what many of you are going through, is real.
Honestly I liked Ender's Shadow quite a bit more than Ender's Game (and really the best part of both of them was the game parts IMO, the other things tended to get a strange for me at times).
Yeah.  It gets kinda weird as you go along.  Like, VERY weird.  Not WTF-thread level weird.  Mostly.  But close.  The battles are interesting though.

I wanna bully the submarine.

Why do I wanna bully the submarine.
Why do I want to see this video on Youtube or something.

Just so you know she means a shipgirl submarine.

She wants to bully the cute little girl.
I was thinking an actual GIANT UNDERWATER METAL BAWKS.

Also, WTF is?

"Aw, come on.  Is there some sort of spontaneous inspiron (particle) generator in this fort?!  All right, you might just want to get me a workshop so I can turn out magic stuff.  And sapphires.  And another Nether Cap."
"At least it's mostly duplicating the irreplicable.  Which is obviously, at this point, no longer true."
"Why, for Armok's sake, does this keep happening?!"
((I was not planning on this when I started this post.  Yay.  I have surprised MYSELF.))
