Tharix was bored. In the history of the world a lot of stories terrible and wonderful will begin like that, but his was the first. He had seen the lake, the volcano and the forests, the grasslands and the emptiness between universes. Sure, that new world he found himself in was...nice and the company was interesting. But it was also So. Freaking. Empty. The only mortals were not exactly living thrilling lives either. They mostly stood still, literally indistinguishable from a vegetable for most of their day. Osella swore thing were about to change, that they would soon do great things...but Tharix was bored NOW. Immobile plants that spend their times thinking and doing photosynthesis was not his idea of an exciting mortal life. And if mortals are not exciting, why bother with them at all?
So, in his boredom and frustration, he began to kick the ground, in the vast plains of Eastern Minesortia. The more he tought about it, the angrier he became. He needed to DO SOMETHING, NOW! and so he kicked and screamed, pounding the ground under his feet, harder and harder, until his movements became a maddened dance, divine ichor sweating from his brow. He kept going and going until he turned behind and saw the results of his dance. A new race walked the planet, born from the earth and his sweat. They were strong of body and heart, being born from anger and impatience. Tharix saw them eat, wrestle and mate and he was delighted. Exhausted he flew to the heavens again, watching as his creations began to spread.
Spend 5 of my glory and 5 pantheon glory to create the GraalRace: The Graal
This centaur-like race has a unique split anatomy. The upper half is that of a muscular humanoid, with wide and muscular shoulders. Their heads are bigger in proportions to humans, a bit more square to host their masticatory muscles and their neck are thick and strong to support the curved, ram-like horns on their head. The lower half is instead that of an ungulate, with cloven hooves and short, robust legs made for endurance more than speed. There are still no predators to worry about after all.
Their humanoid skin and their lower fur tends to be dark in color, although there is a lot of individual variation, from tan to black. Their double digestive system allows for an efficient digestion of plant matter, especially grasses, that they usually rip off at the root with their powerful hands. Their back have specialized tendons that allow them to bent for long time without tiring, though that limits their possibility to turn and look behind than. Not that they need to do so often. They have virtually no sexual dimorphism, especially in their humanoid parts, since genitals and mammaries are on the ungulate half.
The Graal are proud, willfull people with a very direct approach to problems: If there is an obstacle, they smash it. Be it physical, intellectual or social, any issue is solved in the most direct way possible. They have a strongly hierarchical and yet very fluid society. The strong are on top. When there is something to do together, the one that can affirm their strenght in doing that task is looked up as a leader. When a leader loses their strenght or it's not suited to the task anymore, they simply stop listening. Even their mating is based on strenght. When a Graal fancies another Graal, they wrestle against their possible partner 1/2
Because no Graal, male or female would mate with someone they consider weak.
In terms of size Graal are on the shorter side for humans (160-170 cm) but quite a bit heavier, since there is a lot more going on under the belt
