Well hey, if you lack the spine to be honest, that's cool. That part is correct. Liars and unworthy of any shred of respect.

well, given the fact that your wiping your posts, no-one new can tell whether any responses where totally reasoned or not.
I'm sorry. Who are you? Have we met?

That nobody hates you?

Seriously, man.  What makes more sense?
That there's a massive amount of people willing to lie to your face about whether you're a nice person (1)
Or they're not lying (2)?
I'd believe option 2 more...
What makes more sense? Given the community? One. One for sure.

Whether you don't like yourself or not doesn't have any bearing on whether other people think you're cool.
Okay. But no one does. That's the point. My own opinion of myself is irrelevant.

...You're systematically wiping your posts?  Aw, c'mon...
Yes I am. Now can you quit hijacking my thread and trying to make me look like a liar (i.e. like you lot)?

You know, nobody hates you, Lerm.
Give it a rest, kid. I know the truth.

I was thinking about it but I thought I'd be bothering the guy. But if he's been active then I'm gonna definitely look into getting his blessing OR even better, getting him back here if that wouldn't burden him. I had forgotten about it until just now. Thanks guys for the heads up!

So YOU'RE the elusive-yet-curious fellow I've been PM'd about. That explains why you didn't PM me but everyone else did. Yeah, you weren't likely to get me, though you weren't bothering me since you had something of note to say to me. Good thing you didn't email me; shit would've went right to spam.

In any case, I'm truly thankful that you've expressed interest in my game, buuuuuuut, I gotta invite you to check the signature. Games were never popular, and I'm not too liked around these parts. You're about 3/4 months too early. Had you come around earlier, you'd have given me a smidgeon of hope. So yeah, sorry. But thanks for that though! Props from an actual writer is a plus in my book! Might lurk to see what you do.

Peace out!

#4 - Hands Exchanging Hands
Your body keeps growing hands in pairs, starting with your back and sides, making you some kind of human centi--whoa. No. Something else.

It's time for Smurfette to talk. You're pretty angry, and notice you feel different. It can't be residual negative energy from Vahara's incident, could it?

"How did you know about us? What do you know about the CPS?"

"Stupid kid." Her talking is strained. Perhaps you're putting too much pressure on her. You don't care. "They always put out an all-points bulletin for psychotic Psilons like you. Unh. Let me go!"

You increase the pressure you put on her body. "I asked you something else. What insight do you have on the CPS? Protocols, patrols, condition level."

"Heh. You don't...know anything, do you brat?" For some reason, you feel that she isn't talking about any of your questions, but something else entirely. A quick Mind Scan reveals something interesting: A shallow thought that regards the CPS as negative. Almost...hateful.

"Don't bother playing cowboy with me", you spit back. "I know there are things about the Protectors that you hate. Tell me, and I'll let you go."

"You might...as well get this...over with. I'm not telling...a brat like you anything."

You slam her on the railcar's walls a few time. At least every wall -- even the ceiling -- has met her body a couple of times.

> Keep slamming her. This feels good.
> Do something else.

Spoiler: Data (click to show/hide)

Author's Note: I'm having fun with this. Might re-run it with the open-ended "You Are A..." format after this run.

#5 The Order of the Advent

With pre-apocalypse roots, the Advent were early for the party. Super early, even. Like the one friend everyone has that they like, but is kind of annoying, so they send him an invite an hour in advance to--wow. Anyway, the Order of the Advent is an amalgam of different religions from all over the globe, with a primarily eastern (aesthetic and philosophy) and Catholic (aesthetic only) flair. Like the Mormons and Amish, they preached the concept behind preparedness, and enjoyed communities that were reasonably insulated against the apocalypse.

Of course, this made them a bit skittish. It's no secret that humans aren't nearly as great as they think and are actually quite animalian, both in their conduct with each other and the world itself. Humans are lazy, and expect everything for nothing (+90% anyway), so when they didn't take it upon themselves to react to the all-too-obvious signs and, instead, chose to maraud their way to survival, you can bet that the Advent was poised to strike at every passer-by they did not recognise. Some tried. None have succeeded. This is where the Advent gets dark. They stress the philosophy of making examples out of your enemies, and will often brutally torture would-be marauders and put their mangled bodies on display around their perimeter. The higher on the marauder rating you are, the more you endure. They make surgical care to ensure that those who venture into sick-and-twisted territory. If you intend to steal from others or do anything egregious, best you don't find yourself anywhere near the Advent. Even the non-religious will be praying for you, and frankly, whatever creator is out there should be as well. Because you're in for it!

That aside, the Advent are rather peaceful, and have a take-anyone-in philosophy, as long as they are able to adhere to the Order's philosophy. Often seen in religious garb of some sort, the Advent is an interesting faction in that they don't have any particular goal other than survival. For them, every day they wake up and find themselves greeted by the sun is them being successful in their mission.

((Shout out to me x years ago. I made this faction for a post-apoc nation builder called Mosaic Earth. To the Finnish guy who ran the thing: You're still a plonker. He won't see this, but meh.))

Ah.

> Meditate and try to recharge. Say that I can't when I really can? I don't believe that shit. (No sir!)
(you used all 10 MP during the fight. Also, casting spells and doing psionics at essence doesn't really do much anyway.)
Essence? A new enemy type? Cross-game battle or something?
