i never palyed this game without a graphicset, so i can't tell you what an A-Circonflex represents, but it's an A with a Circonflex (the small "roof") above.

She was actually the fort's first casualty, she'd climbed up a tree within the first three or so years and dehydrated.
Why must romances be tainted with such stupidity?
don't millions of romances end by some kind of stupidity?

i tried the 10x20 font and it totally f***ed up the worldmap: nothing related to water was visible and everything had the same pitchblack background opposed to how it has been before.
using LNP 43.03.r03 with TWBT and phoebus graphics.

That's good to know. I had forgotten that the text font gets used for the map. It should work fine with maps once all the tiles are finished.

It's kind of good that the text font gets used for maps. On the bright side we can have maps that don't use bolts of cloth and cabinets. On the not bright side, the maps will be rectangular. Ideally the maps could have their own tilesheet, or maybe TWBT overrides can be used for maps?

These ones look like they are probably good choices to apply shading to for the maps (to make it look less like an ASCII pack and more like a graphics pack):

I don't know if it is still relevent, but a while back, I put the main graveyard/corpse stockpile in the main entrance corridor.

Caused some problems at first, but eventually my entire population consisted of double-hard bastards who would stoicly wade through a mountain of corpses without breaking a sweat.
sounds good to me, but my forts rather resulted in all my dorfs being too horrified to survive because their food supply-chain wasn't getting finished as they were all too busy contemplating all the horrors they had seen.

nothing worth reporting, as my forts die by gamecrash regularly and i hate losing 2 months of labor to random crashes.
can't wait for weekly autosaves.

if historical figure culling is on, I would guess the husband's only relevancy was in the marriage, which wasn't sufficient to track him. The mother probably had additional reasons to not be culled, and the children likewise, if only because she's important and they're her heirs.

I've actually had fathers show up with kids, but list no mother, actually.

i don't know what that is, but all migrants have the "seperated from a loved one" unhappy thought.
the hereditary system still has a lot of bugs, i guess, resulting in people without parents or people being their own grandpa.

well, current release doesn't run on my machine. the launcher can't be started at all.
i reinstalled the 43.r03 and will use that one until a working release is out.

the launcher gives an error message, telling me the file couldn't be accessed.

Started DF again after a long'ish break.

Designed a fortress with fabulous library, dining hall, tavern, massively decorative workshop area in spherical form, full with central tower surrounded by chasm, over the course of of two hours.

Then, DF crashed. I had autosave yearly, so nothing was saved.

Ragequit.
i got seasonal autosave, but you can lose a lot of progress within even a week. i asked for weekly or monthly autosave options and they don't seem to appreciate it.

my last fort was destroyed by trhe first werebeast, because my defenses weren't up afterthe first elven caravan came and a migrant wave came almost exactly at the same moment when the beast entered.

when i read "dark elves" i immediately thought of the "Drow" from D&D universes:

- have slaves, which they sometimes kill/let fight against way too strong monsters for their amusement (even if they'd survive the fight, they'd kill them anyway)

Why would "0.43.03" be in the path twice, then? (And why would it be in the D drive?)
i use the LNP and it's on my "I:\" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've got an issue where the season announcer is firing twice every season, so two phrases are being played on top of each other? Any ideas? Did a cursory search of the thread and only found a mention of this back in 2010. No other sounds seem to be firing twice other than those.

Installed SS from the PyLNP.
using a config.xml from the previous LNP worked for me.

@ldog - the multilevel option is set in "dfhack_PeridexisErrant.init", FYI

Are you saying that is what's making prospect crash the game?

It might be. I've never heard of prospect making the game crash. It might be worth a shot to see if turning off multi-level view helps.



i changed it to "multilevel 0" and my game seldomly crashes.
as my game crashed quite a lot ever since i played DF, someone hinted me to change it.
