Still on XP - and i'd rather gp for linux than ever install anything beyond win7.
Ans win7 i'd have to buy, but i won't give Microsoft another dime and if i had foreseen how things would come, i wouldn't have ever bought winXP either.
Install Linux then. XP is a virus honeypot these days.
i would - if i could arrange this without data loss.
also i would need to find a huge amount of alternative software and a way to play at least half of my games.

what i meant was that stonesense and TWBT won't work together at all.
and playing without TWBT is absolutely unbearable on a non 16:9 monitor.

too bad stonesense can't be used to actually play the game.
if i used it, i had to deactivate twbt and use a second monitor to put the stonesense window on that desktop.
that's absolutely unpracticable.
i hope my new PC can actually make AV work.

the trick is to create colours like the 16 colours palette.
they are mostly clean and unconfusable. if looked at the rgb codes, they form strong contrasts in each subpixel eg. green = 0R 255G 0B
don't use pastel tones, as they contain less light and the people already have not enough properly working cone cells https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cone_cell for that color.
even in the already contained colorblind scheme, i get a headache when searching for an embark-place.
with all those flashing green X and that one yellow X, i have real trouble finding where the yellow one is.

too bad it only looks this good when using your colour-scheme, but i need one for red-green-blindness (more explicit greens and reds to distinguish between yellow and green or orange and bright green).

i only understood half of what you said, but i don't want to derail the thread, so i don't ask.
some graphic oddness might occur from using the LNP, as it sometimes uses graphicsets with overrides in different tilesizes, that then get scaled, meaning it always looks odd.

does the sunmovement actually exactly fit the ingame time? liek when the sun's position is "midnight", the next day starts?

for me the use of nonsquare fonts with a square graphicstileset is one of the major reasons to use TWBT.
could i just resize a font in Photoshop by resizing the .png?
