Also, just so you all know, I'm going live on Twitch in about an hour: stop by and say hi if you're around! :)

This actually looks pretty interesting. I'll have a quick crack at it over the next few days and give you my thoughts.

That would be awesome - thanks. Always up for getting feedback! (A lot of it at the moment centres around the last of a fast forward button, something I'm hoping to attempt to fix today)

Someone did a video play through of the demo - thought I'd post in case people haven't got time to try it:

Thanks for backing the campaign!  :D

The trailers didn't exactly help to outline the game last time - I learnt a lot from my last experience! There will be mini story arcs that will fit in via missions (and will be moddable so people can create their own mini-quest-campaigns) but it won't feel linear at all: you might be diving into a story arc for a bit and out again, the missions will be branching, so you may not even notice.

The demo is interesting, but... the social UI will be better?

I'm looking at ways of making the information you know more navigable, so you can see the connections between people better. This will probably be more of a fullscreen view than the current one.

(Does everyone and their mother get a ship except you when you are 18?  I havn't really looked into it though.)

It might feel like it :) Only certain career paths get ships though. I've been generous with them for the demo: the full game might scale back the handouts.

Is there a way to get money faster than doing $10 deliveries in your own city until you can rent a ship?

Yes: head to the bank and take a couple of loans.

Thanks! Just so you know, we've had a long an interesting discussion on the merits of permadeath over on the Limit Theory forums should you want to check that out...

Happy to continue to answer questions if people have them!

Have u considered going straight for a steam listing if kickstarter failes, if u have gone to greenlight already going into the early access program perhaps.  Or even selling copies direct from the website, it looks like the kickstarter will fail, so maybe starting pumping out beta versions and sell direct or via some support mechanism ( steam, indiepop etc)

It will definitely go on Steam: the expected release date is next April. I've decided not to do an Early Access: I don't want to limit people to having to use Steam to get the beta, and I'd prefer to make my Steam launch the finished game launch.

You can already back direct from the website if you'd like to.

I have a good start on the campaign, and I'm really pleased about the staff pick! The more people talk about it and share it though, the more likely it is to succeed... here's hoping!

Thanks
Chris
