About the lightsabers, I always got the impression that lightsabers werent horrible rare, or difficult to make, but that without the force you were extremely likely to mutilate yourself trying to use one as a weapon, hence why only jedi used them.

Plus they are pretty useful. You can cut your way out of pretty much aything with them and deflect blaster shots. But I always thought the main reason the jedi used them was because if you're fighting another jedi or sith, a lightsaber is the best weapon to use, so it just became tradition from the sith wars or whatever.

I dont get why everyone is acting like this thing is a horrible slight against nature. Its just two pieces of chicken, some cheese and some bacon. Its not like its covered in deep fried chocolate, wrapped in a pizza, and injected with gravey.

That would be awesome though.

One of the best games for puzzles I ever played was Rama, based on the Arthur C Clark books of the same name. You're stuck on a giant extra terrestrial space ship thing, inhabited by a few other species.

The most difficult puzzles involved you having to learn the aliens mathmatics and languages. One of them used bands of colours as a language, and im fairly certain most of them had non-base 10 mathmatics.

For some reason I can only remember games where you play as insects.Theres Bad Mojo, where you play as a cockroach... Well a guy transformed into a cockroach, but same difference.

Theres also Spider: The Game, which I can vaugely remember renting back when i was a kid. PS1 game though so you'd probobly be able to find it for a couple of quid.

And then theres Deadly Creatures for the wii. You can play as a tarantula or a scorpion apparently, havent played it myself though.

IF you're on defense you can play the heavy like a turret. Back to the wall, constantly spin gun, etc.

Means you can get your dinner while still playing :P

Play With Your Buddies / Re: Modern Warfare(2) never changes...

I play this online all the time. Add me on steam at "fenrif" and we'll play some games. Though the joining-friends-games system is a bit crappy.

And yeah, the matchmaking in this game is horrible horrible. Especially when the random number god decides you REALLY want to play one level over and over and over.

The lightsabers are meant to be pure plasma contained within some form of energy shield, which also protects the wielder from the immense heat... Apparently.

Also the plasma is an arc that extends out and back into the hilt, like a loop. And something about electromagnetic fields generated by the lightsaber creates resistance when cutting through dense solid matter because otherwise it would interrupt the arc.

Carefull though with wookiepedia. It's very spoilerriffic, and you can get lost there for hours.

Quantum of solace was also a huge letdown compared to casino royale. I remember sitting watching it, and the end 20 minutes or so just felt so crappy and rushed it ruined the entire film for me.

I'll be voting Lib dem. They have plans to reform the election process, which is much needed. Plus they opposed the DEB which is a huge plus for me.

Though if they do win, and manage to cock it up, or squirm out of their pre-election promises and ideals, I'll have officially lost all faith in our political system.

I never watched much of that, mainly because it was on at stupid o clock. Always heard good things about it though. Unfortunatly when i tried to get it and watch it recently the early CGI animation was a huge put off. It really hasn't aged well. Course the same can be said of reboot, but I can look back on that with nostalgia tinted goggles :P

Yeah the third season was awesome. I remember it being one of the few kids cartoons at the time that had actual plot arcs and character development.

Plus he had that cool gun that could auto target things. Pew pew.

I just get the impression that Lucas has no idea why star wars is popular. At all. Because everything he does is just so far in the wrong direction that people cant seem to help but rage at it.

As RedLetterMedia said in his review, the success of Star Wars probobly had alot more to do with all the other people that worked on it than anything Lucas did. "this scene is so good i can only assume Lucas had nothing to do with it... He probobly faught to keep it out of the film."

Which strikes me as kind of odd, because THX 1138 and American Graffiti are both pretty decent films. Maybe he just got exceptionally lucky with the people he worked with in his early years?
