Gongon appoints ███ as their attorney

Gongon offers the defence a settlement outside court procedures, as may or may not have been suggested by the groanings of dead gods which only the divinely deaf can hear. Gongon is acknowledged to have full ownership of the Winespring and its contents, and in return does not press any suit.

Gongon reminds Sornlun to move to the Dull Maybe posthaste

The Definitely-Sornlun-And-Not-Roach-Council-Under-Sornlun-Guise pledged the move to the Dull Maybe would be completed expediently.

Action by "Sornlun(?)": Pocket the Jury Feeble Act, and the Gongon Feeble Act. By some strange happenstance they find themselves in the hands of prominent Roachid departments, how odd! The Roachids most likely/definitely, and maybe tearfully, will transport the limbless, organless carcass of their creator from Retreat to the Dull Maybe. An honest job well done!

2
First to enter the jury box is the one and only Sornlun(?), or at least its the stitched god-body of it. It crawls haphazardly and without grace, and the chittering and chattering of a myriad of Roachids can suspiciously be heard under the moon-flesh. The god puppet is then clumsily propped up, accompanied by a chorus of groans and legs being stepped on by accident. Where once was a vocal organ there is now a gaping hole, filled with a strange text-to-speech contraption operated by a Roachid stage aide drapped in an all black bodysuit.

The contraption booms and words uttered in a robotic and fractured tone come out of it! A hushed celebration can be heard rising from inside the god-puppet as the flummoxed Roachids witness the bizarre device actually working as intended!

It. is. I. Sornlun. Yes. The. One. And. Only. Sornlun.  Usurper. Of. Heavens.
Gongon requests that Sornlun relocate themselves to the Dull Maybe after the trial to hopefully alleviate the revenant problem. To clarify: Relocate or be fumigated

The centipede-marionette froze for a few minutes, and a skittering debate ensued inside the flesh puppet. Someone with a keen earing would have heard a round of applause right before Definite-Sornlun replied to Gongon. The puppet's reply was made slightly distracting by its bobbing head. Up and down, left to right.

"Yes. Indeed. Yes. Relocation. Critical. Matter. Please. Send. Fund. To. Roachid. Department. Of. Death. Handling. Roachid. Will. Definitely. Handle. Relocation. And. Solve. Problem."

The puppet head nodded furiously.

Neobel Eka v. Emperor of Flesh

(...)

       eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
ANNAN: "THE EVIDENCE IS CLEEEEAAAAAR. THE TRUE EMPEROR OF FLESH IS NEEEEOBEL EKA, WHO HAS CREEAAAATED AND SHARED FLESH TO THE WORLD."
       eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
WAHAM: "THHHHe plaintiff-ff's evidenc-ce is-s anyth-thing but. GiVVVVing the WHHHine of-f LiFFFFe th-this-s unearned title s-sets-s a dang-gerous-s preCCedent. Do not allow th-this-s naked power grab to proCCCCeed." [/tt]

The jury made up of Yalini, Calamos Gladius, Gongon, ANTHEM-314, and Sornlun is now invited to deliberate amongst themselves on the question of whether Neobel Eka's team presented sufficient evidence to justify the seizure of the title of Emperor of Flesh from Yitterbium and present their verdict privately within half a season.

Should jurors fail to return a verdict on the matter, the injuror Greasier-May-My-Palms-Be Thestone, who can be reached in person at the Mortal Affairs office in Workspace 1 or contacted via Form BRI-83ME, will be brought in to bring the case to a speedy conclusion.

ACT I
SCENE 2

SETTING: Farthest Reach. Night Sky. Prominence 2.

AT RISE: Astiara, regal as ever, hasn't moved from the solar throne which is subtly closer to the audience. The star dusts are gathered before the pink monarch, piling on each other to get a glimpse of the world below.

STAR DUSTS (singing excitedly.)

(THE DUSTS TURN TOWARD THE THRONE. GLITTERING WITH CURIOSITY.)

Astiara, Ah, Astiara!

Astiara our Monarch in Pink! Astiara kindest among the stars!

Astiara who comes for the Lover, Astiara who draws in the Lover!

Who will you choose, oh who will you choose to receive your light?

(chattering.)

Archeus the Ever-Young? Shaprishka the Unbelieving? Lexal the August? The Progeny of Arkhun?

ASTIARA (fierce and imposing.)

"Neither."

(THE STAR UTTERS A RESOUNDING WORD. THE DUSTS SHUDDER AND ALL IS SILENT, PETRIFIED BY AWE AND TERROR. ALL SAVE FOR A LONE DUST, BRAVE AND FOOL. LITTLE AND YOUNG.)

THE BRAVE AND FOOL LITTLEST STAR DUST (quivering.)

Who then, will our Highness choose?
(All dusts turn toward the fool, flabbergasted at its foolishness.)

ASTIARA (sighing.)

"What is a shine for those blessed to live in Light? A mundane breath, a forgotten scent. Name not those who living in light were showered in light, for aren't their eyes clouded? See to those who live in Dark, those who know and fear the Light. Those will understand our Love."

STAR DUSTS (praising and cursing.)

Astiara, Ah, Astiara!

Astiara Who Lights the Path! Astiara the Ever-Wise!

How short-sighted we were, oh how short-sighted!

(The uproar rises and peak, until it dies down.)

Quote
Pink to kindle care

(The brave dust speaks again.)

THE BRAVE AND FOOL LITTLEST STAR DUST (starry eyed.)

What of the prayer of the Unbelieving?
(All dusts turn toward the fool, again, their shock and anger undiminished.)

ASTIARA (scornful.)

"Love, littlest dust, love. But do not give your love to those who ask but do not long. Hollow are their hearts, and lacking longing they will squander your precious love. They are as gourmets without a tongue, perfumers without a nose, musicians without an ear."

ASTIARA (confident, and eager.)

"To you who were scorned. To you who fear the stars. Fear not the light-in-pink, embrace our Love."
(The Star plucks a jewelled petal from the throne, and gently blows upon it. The petal flies toward the world, heading for the deep forests...)

(BLACKOUT)

(END OF SCENE)

----------

ASTIARA points at the deep forest crone.
Vision (Prominence 1): The crone is given a glimpse of the Solar Throne and the endless love of the Pink Star, followed by the sight of a life blessed-in-pink: bliss and love and laugh and song along her soulmate and their progeny, and their friends.

Blessing (Prominence 2): The deep forest crone is blessed with aphrodisiac youth and beauty as her hair becomes a radiant solar pink, which shall be passed to her descendants. With the blessing of the Pink Star, she is bound to find her fated soulmate soon.

ACT I
SCENE 1

SETTING: Farthest Reach. Night Sky. Prominence 0.

AT RISE: Astiara is sitting on the solar throne, overlooking the scene. The pink star is gazing in the distance at the world below. All around the throne and kneeling are the innumerable star dusts, who look up to Astiara.

STAR DUSTS (pleading.)

Astiara, Ah, Astiara!

Astiara our beloved Highness! Astiara fairest among the stars!

Tell us why, Oh do tell us why! Why carry, Oh why carry such a longing gaze?

(THE STAR LIPS SHAPE A WORD, THE DUST SHUDDERS. LOVESICKNESS.)

ASTIARA (regal.)

"Shush, precious little star dust. At long last has cruel fate thrown a hopeful light upon our cold and somber existence."
(Astiara sighes.)

STAR DUSTS
(squealing and whimpering with envy.)

Could it be? Oh could it be?

A Lover!

Has our Highness found a Lover?

(Shock among the dust. They racket, laugh, and tremble. The Star taps once on the throne. Silence.)

ASTIARA (smiling.)

"Unmistakably."
(The star dusts faint in unison, moaning and cheering. Their arms are outstretched toward the Star, wavering like blades of grass in the wind.)

STAR DUSTS (in uproar.)

A Lover!
(The dusts faint again.)

ASTIARA (melancholic.)

"Yet so distant. How many aeons until our fated embrace? Oh nameless Lover, do I long. Do I long."
(The Star flings a petal to the wind, toward the distant world.)

(BLACKOUT)

(END OF SCENE)

----------

ASTIARA points at Archeus of Vendra. The ruler shall outlast its natural lifespan by a century.

FORUMGAMEURGES

Create #1: Glasspirin
FORUMGAMEURGES frowns at the no-fun-allowed action of the Minute-Maid, and starts reaching for more lychen before having a rare spark of compassion(?). FORUMGAMEURGES thus create a medicine against glassaches, trademarked as Glasspirin. It can also be used to repair glass structures.

Create #2: Symbiotic Mild-Mannered Mental Lychen
FORUMGAMEURGES is concerned by the generation gap between the Muse-Sirens and the egg-born Muse-Sirens. For a brief moment FORUMGAMEURGES consider lychen'ing the egg-born Muse-Sirens with Responsibility and Reason, but rescinds for now. Nevermind, as FORUMGAMEURGES realises it is a great idea, and create a new strand of lychen: Symbiotic Mild-Mannered Mental Lychen. Unlike the PRRL (Parasitic Responsible and Reasonable Lychen), the SMMML (Symbiotic Mild-Mannered Mental Lychen) only bonds to a host if said host is willing. All SMMML are mentally connected, the network forming a fascimile of the mental realm that might equal it if lychen can spread enough. Through their symbiotic lychen, the hosts can access and enjoy the Lychen Mental Realm.

The SMMML is given to the Muse-Sirens, its effects explained in the hopes they will use it and spread it.

Interact: Trade with the Minute-Maids
FORUMGAMEURGES, being Responsible and Reasonable, decides to reasonably and responsibly asks the Minute-Maids to give back the Pieces of the Great Game to the Muse-Sirens. FORUMGAMEURGES offer them Glasspirin in exchange. If negotiations fail, FORUMGAMEURGES will responsibly and reasonably stab the Minute-Maids with PRRL (Parasitic Responsible and Reasonable Lychen) to make them more... receptive.

Protect: Muse-Sirens

The Roach-Dragon rose, cradled around Clarity. Having inherited one half of Sornlun's Ears, it heard what might be Sornlun's last whisper. The Roach-Dragon shivered but once. Of what did the Dragon tremble? Grief? Anticipation? Terror? Awe? The whisper was very different from the calm and resigned voice of the once-Sornlun the Roach-Dragon had known for a short time. Yet these flaming words were unmistakenly Sornlun's. It might be that these words were the true words of Sornlun all along. What had transpired, and what would transpire? Regardless, the Roach-Dragon had to act. For whom, only the dragon could choose.

The Dragon-Roach has grasped a faint echo of Sornlun's last whisper! What will it make of it?

(...)

At the very same time, the Anti-Oracle heard the same juicy whisper. As a fine broker of information, the Anti-Oracle was ready to consider organ donations for its once-upon-a-tick transaction.

The Anti-Oracle has grasped a faint echo of Sornlun's last whisper!

Organ Extraction: Voicebox, Lungs, and Heart
If and when Sornlum dies, Shredder will attempt to retrieve Clarity to prevent it from driving any further divines or angels to suicide with sane dreams.
It goes without saying Roach-Dragon will try to keep Clarity safe for now?
If the Roach-Dragon is still able to safekeep Clarity then Sornlun isn't dead yet and Shredder will not attempt to retrieve it.
If the Roach-Dragon doesn't fall like a puppet whose strings had been cut, then politely wave at Shredder or something.

Sornlun asks the Roaches to witness what might the last solar dance of Remorse and Chaos.

"Lament not, for this is the way of the stars, to struggle and vie for dominion over the Heavens and all beneath.

As for us, we are of the skies no longer. And soon, we will part with the last dregs of our flesh."

When the dance is over, Sornlun calls over the Roaches and the Roach-Dragon, imparting to them its last instructions.

Organ Extraction: Voicebox, Lungs, and Heart

"Carve minutely in that order our Voicebox, then our Lungs, and finally our Heart.
Of the first Lung, you will throw it in the flames of a bonfire and gather the ashes to spread over Retreat, as you did with the Nostalgiae.
Of the second Lung, you will keep and preserve for now.
Then of our Voicebox, you will listen to the last names it will utter. Then cut the Voicebox in three, carving each name upon a piece.
Two of them you will bury at the foot of my Antenna, in the center of Retreat. One of them you will bury in a heaven cloud that you will have caught.

Then will you extract from the second Lung my last breath.
Our Heart will be beating still, and upon it you will transfer the last breath, and seal our Heart with a thread of Heavens.
Our Heart will shrivel, and new life will emerge from it.

At last, and this is our last instruction. Tend to the life that emerges."

Organ Trading: Sell 1 Lung for 2 Flame. Sell 1 Voicebox for 1 Heaven and 1 Flame.

Create Flora #1: Flaming Clusters (1 Flame from Lung)
Description: Leaveless flaming shrubs of igneous bark and magmatic sap that look eerily like lungs devoid of pleura. Incredibly hardy and able to grow in even the most hostile environments, so long as they can find ground to take root. They get their namesake from the clusters of edible fruits that grow on their branches. These are filled with nutrients and vitality, so that more life might follow after them.

Create Flora #2: Burning Colours (1 Flame)
Description: Thin and long flames that grow densely together, in a manner not unlike that of common and hardy grass. It burns intensely when stepped upon or cut down. Each blade of flame-grass can be of one of the seven seen colours, making a field of Burning Colours quite the rainbow.

Create Omnivorous Fauna #1: Chit-Chatters (1 Heaven from Voicebox of Sornlun)
Description: Social skyborne creatures with a disc shaped main body ending in a long and flexible tail, known for their endless chatter and sober needs, as well as their cloud-nests. They lack eyes and sport a pair of antennae on their head. They float effortlessly thanks to a heaven-organs, and they use their tail to propel themselves through the skies as a mean of locomotion. Their mouths are able to collect essential elements scattered in the skies and clouds to last them a while, although they will favor feeding on the nectar of flowers which they love, or liquids from various sources if they have to (fruits, carrion...). They use their soft and flexible proboscis to drink nectar and juice. Chit-Chatters rely on echolocation and their antennae to detect their surroundings and the change in weather. They speak endlessly both to share information, and to fuel their echolocation. Utterly harmless.
Reproduction: They lay eggs in their cloud-nests, which any Chit-Chatter can then fertilise.

Create Herbivorous Fauna #2: Moo-Grubsters (1 Flame from Voicebox of Sornlun)
Description: Massive and meaty shelled land arthropods that look like an armoured grub with countless horns of various sizes on its front segments. They are docile and social, and somewhat slow due to their ponderous girth. But when provoked, they use their massive strength to crush and gore their aggressors. Incredibly dangerous during mating season. They graze on any plant they can reach, and their shell changes colour depending on their feeding habits. Moo-Grubsters who feed indiscriminately on Burning Colours will for instance have fabulously rainbow shells.
Reproduction: Females carry eggs inside their bodies, which must be fertilised by a male. When in heat, Moo-Grubsters are surrounded in fiery flames only matched by their temperament during mating season. Vegetation that lacks some resistance to fire will most definitely catch fire around Moo-Grubsters in heat.

Create Carnivorous Fauna #3: Creep-Hunters (Flame from Lung)
Description: Medium sized arthropods with a flat and lightly armoured body, infamously known for their highly venomous quills and stinger. Their shell can change colour to match their environment, and they silently creep on the ground with their many long retractable legs. They ambush their preys by firing quills at unarmoured targets, and by stinging a fleshy spot of an armoured target. Once their prey is envenomed, they scuttle away and keep skulking around until it is too weak to fight at which point they will move in for the last blow. They are solitary creatures, but they will occasionally cooperate to take down a big prey if circumstances arise.
Reproduction: Creep-Hunters are hermaphrodites, and reproduce stalking their mating partner before shooting a barbed spermatophore at other Hunters before scuttling away.

Create Mortals: the Sorns and the Luns (Heart of Sornlun, Lung of Sornlun, 1 Heaven)
Linked Flora: Nostalgiae, Flaming Clusters, Burning Colours
Linked Fauna: Chit-Chatters, Moo-Grubsters, Creep-Hunters

Description: Beings of flesh and breath bound neither to Earth or Heaven. Their are born with clear cloud-skin soft like a morning wind, with seven limbs and four wings. At birth they are flesh, but they will quickly learn how to shift between flesh and breath as is their innate ability. Until they reach maturity they are free to roam land or skies in an undefined and ever changing form. Once they reach maturity, they settle on land or in the skies depending on their wishes.
Those who settle for the land become the Sorns, beings of flesh with four legs, two arms, and a prehensile tail. They are wise in the ways of the land and flames, and have the potential to reign over creatures of the land.
Those who settle for the skies become the Luns, beings of breath with two wings and two wing-arms. They are wise in the ways of the skies and flames, and have the potential to reign over creatures of the skies.

Reproduction: Sorns/Luns are dependent on each others to reproduce. A Lun must give their breath to a Sorn, who will gestate the breath until it gives birth to a new Sorn/Lun. Sorns and Luns tend to arrange themselves into couples, with the child of heaven and earth being raised by both parents.

Class Change: Tempered Natural -> ?̴̟͑͆͆̏͠?̸̛͈̓̓̓̿?̷̙̲̟̈́́̽̈́̚ͅ

It came to Sornlun in a dream. Weaver, ah, Weaver. Will you remember us now that One Who Longed is gone? We offered everything in repentance. And now what is left of us? In the dream, we relinquished everything, becoming neither greater nor lesser, only different. And now here we are, without a body, and all that remains is our echo. Thus we become ?̴̟͑͆͆̏͠?̸̛͈̓̓̓̿?̷̙̲̟̈́́̽̈́̚ͅ

FORUMGAMEURGES

Create #1: Pieces of the Great Game
FORUMGAMEURGES ponders the Great Game. Pieces moved by invisible threads through a veil of deterministic chaos. Greater Games await still, and the Muse-Maids may be instrumental in divining a new way.

Tokens are created from the uncertain essence of mayhaps. Those who play using these tokens gamble their fate, which addsan extra spiciness and excitement to the most mundane games. Brilliant.

The tokens are given to the Muse-Sirens along with a disclaimer that only adult and mature Muse-Sirens may play, and in moderation. Gambling is bad, kids, especially when it involves your future!

Create #2: Parasitic Responsible and Reasonable Lychen
FORUMGAMEURGES sighes at the Tree and its representative Tree-Yad. The Demiurge yoinks some spinal filaments out of its spine and stab it on the tree, which causes it to grow like lichen. It is now infected with a vile mental parasite that turns Tree-Yad a Responsible and Reasonable tree spirit, which means no more blood sports and craving, and no more broody asocial behaviour. Time to grow out of it Tree-Yad. Now go and, I don't know, make friends or something.

Interact: Whiteratus
FORUMGAMEURGES teaches Whiteratus gambling. Accidentally omit to mention there is such a thing as gambling addiction.

Protect: Muse-Sirens

Good thing Sornlun still has a mouth!

"Friend!! Friend? Friend. Not friend!!" (0 Acts)

And all is well.

15
(Thanks Demonic Spoon for the lovely divine seals!)
(Also KJP I should be missing an ear/hearing apparatus)

Sornlun distances itself from the coalescing Materia, and from within itself ignites and shines a brilliant blaze. Its lost jewel-eyes and moon-claws regrow as pristine and vibrant as they were at the dawn of creation! For an instant, the Usurper-Centipede can behold and grasp again.

Class Change: Unquenched Howling Gate
Bonus Package: Heal four organs (Eyes (x2), Claws (x2))

1. Create Grand Artifact: Clarity (Eyes of Sornlun, Sane Kidney of Gongon)
Quote
Description: a perfect opal crafted from the eleven restored eyes of Sornlun, upon which rests a divine sigil meaning Clarity. It clears and protects its user from all corruption and outside influence, allowing it to truly act out of its own uncorrupted free will. Having been crafted from divine eyes, its user is also granted divine sight and the ability to see any place in the World through falsehood and illusions.
Bonus: it glows adequately in the dark, allowing its user to read at night without ever straining its eyes!

In a vicious act of self-mutilation, Sornlun carves out once again its own eyes with its claws! (2 Heavens, 2 Flames)
It then slices Gongon's tasty liver, making it drip stimulating juices of sanity. (2 Sanity)

Sornlun then places its bleeding jewelled eyes in the liver-broth, causing them to dissolve as the mixture turns into an opalescent puddle clear like dawn. Sornlun brings the mixture to the fiery furnace of the Iridescent Sun, where with its claws the Centipede chisels and shapes until only remains a perfectly round opal. Once it is done, Sornlun finishes the works by carving a divine sigil meaning Clarity upon the Opal.

2. Create Angels: Roachids (Kidney of Sornlun)
Quote
Description: Resilient beings of moon-shell and flame wings whose presence is an auspicious sign of cleanliness. Especially resistant to corruption.

Sornlun then excises one of its kidneys, and cut it into smaller pieces which suddenly burst into flame and melt, until from the molten remains rises a cohort of moon-cockroaches.

3. Create Archangel: The Roach-Dragon (Ear of Sornlun, 1 Heaven)
Quote
Description: A great Roachid that simply looks like a cross between a dragon and a moon-cockroach. It makes for a great listener and confidant, and it can breathe heavenly flames.

Sornlun removes its remaining tymphanic membrane and picks up the last of the Roachids, wrapping it inside the membrane like a cocoon. It imbues it further with a Heaven act allowing the Roachid to mature into the Roach-Dragon.

Finally Sornlun swallows Clarity, and falls toward the World...

[Howling Gate] Free extra planar travel action (Outer Space -> Fhaire)

As Sornlun falls in a great descent of flames, the Unquenched sheds its claws, then its liver and viscera in order to fuel its ever fiery descent and transition into a Tempered entity.
-Claws (x2)
-Other Organs (x1)
-Liver (x1)

Its descent ends as it lands in the Fhaire.

[Class Change] Tempered Natural

4. Create Domain: Retreat (Kidney of Sornlun, Antennae)
Quote
Description: Within the fiery fields of the Fhaire, there lies a vast expanse of highly fertile chalk stone reminiscent of the barren surface of a white moon. The Suns and other heaven-dwellers seem eerily close for the onlookers of the Retreat, despite it being flat and slightly above sea-level. A wall of heavenly flames hide and protect the Retreat from outside interference.

In the center of the Fhaire, Sornlun requests the Roachids to sever its antennae and plants them upon the point of their landing. Then it asks them to extract its last liver, crush it into dust and spread it evenly until none is left. The flames suddenly stop, quelled, and the blessed land turn to chalk. If something were to be planted, it would surely grow strong and pure.

5. Plant Flowers: Nostalgiae (1 Flame)
Quote
Description: Fire-flowers blazing softly like the twilight sun. They were planted by Sornlun in memory of its past life and love for the Weaver. They emit a constant and pleasant warmth.

Finally, Sornlun spits fiery seeds for the Roachids to sow across the Retreat. They will grow into fierce and beautiful flowers known as Nostalgiae.
