That would be pretty cool to see, even if it would result in that group of guards kind of being done for (and thus making the act of taking down that group trivial).

Have you tried Don't starve or Don't starve Together? That's a survival game too - it's got a sort-of cartoonish artstyle and horror elements that might detract from the survival experience, but I'd still recommend giving it a shot.

So Golden Light is a game where many, many things are made of meat, and this means in a pinch you can eat weapons to restore your HP. There's also a lot of other things too.

It's still in Early Access, but I think it's great.

Also, Griftlands is a pretty good deck-building roguelike made by Klei Entertainment. Besides turn-based deckbuilding battles it's got a social element (your choices can result in making friends or enemies, which can help or hinder your goals).

EDIT: I probably should have mentioned that Griftlands is also in Early Access - which means bugs and the game not being complete, naturally.

Turns out Cyclone and Brain Tick remove all debuffs. This includes debuffs you give opponents through Negotiations.

I wasn't very happy with that, especially since I didn't get help from either faction for the boss fight.

"Hold on, let me give it a try," Osamu says, approaching the tower and looking for any handholds or footholds that he could use to help climb upwards. He wasn't much of a climber himself, but he still had some of his old strength. That had to be good for something, right?

621
Osamu had simply watched Yushiro's... summoned person(?) try to dent the tower, not really sure how he could help make the climb any easier.

Turning around to see the new arrivals, he quickly gestured to the baseball kid. "Hey, stop, stop!"

If the baseball kid didn't listen, Osamu'd try to physically stop him.

622
Osamu had said nothing, merely listening to the story, and Zelda's advice, before nodding.

"All right. I'm willing to search for this Ultra-Divine Water. Though I take it there's going to be more challenges in our path than just a tower to climb?"

623
"Need to learn how to fight. Haven't really been in a real fight for quite some time. Need to learn how to really do some damage, you know? Not with any flashy techniques - not yet, at least. For now, I just want to work on the basics."

[Osamu is attempting to upgrade his Beast's Paws by training with Amber. Hopefully something to give him a boost in strength, though, failing that, a damage increase would also be useful.]

624
Osamu woke up, and, after having breakfast (the best meal he'd had in a long time), decided to head for the arena. He hadn't been in a proper (read: non-curbstomp) fight in a while - and he figured he needed to head to the Melemele Arena to learn how to get stronger. He'd said a lot yesterday, but he knew he wasn't strong enough to back those words up. Not yet, anyway.

625
Despite all the shouting he'd done earlier, Osamu was getting rather tired. Hoping the world didn't spit him out onto the middle of a battlefield again, Osamu searched for a room of his own to rest in.

626
Osamu just nodded, taking a few deep breaths to calm down. Ignoring Tyra, Osamu turned to the man Skye had indicated.

"So, you're the kind of person I'll need to surpass, huh? Well, I'm Osamu Ryoichi. It's a pleasure to meet you. Despite the, uh, circumstances."

627
Osamu just glared back in response.

"If you can't even properly remember what someone said five minutes ago, I don't think you should get involved!"

628
Quote from: Skye
"I don't expect anything of you, Osamu."

"Fuck you."

He wasn't sure why, but something about those words sparked a fire inside him. Ever since that day, people had been saying things like that to him almost non-stop. And now, after tossing him into circumstances he barely understood, this strange creature was treating him like nothing?

"You think I'm just going to tuck my tail between my legs and try to run, just 'cause I don't have psychic powers or magic? I'm gonna be the best wrestler on this team, and I'm not gonna let you or anyone else stop me!"

Wandering Dragon vs. Midas

Too late Midas realized his mistake. He slapped the controls for his weapon's jets, but Wandering Dragon was already moving straight past them. Midas glared at his opponent, his mech tried to throw a punch - a last-ditch effort to stop the oncoming attack - but he was simply too slow.

Much of the time, his spark would have been enough to keep on going, but this strike? Multiple systems flashing red, controls non-responsive... Midas shook his head, trying to clear it. He hadn't even seen the swing make contact, but suddenly, here he was on the ground. Defeated yet again. Idly he wondered how many people he'd made feel like this during the tryouts...

Osamu shook his head. Millions of worlds, hundreds of ways things could have gone differently - and something was out to destroy them? And, worse yet... it sounded like Skye was...

"Do you... you don't seriously expect us - or, even, me - to try to stop those things, do you?" Osamu was trying his best to hold back his laughter at how absurd - no, how insane the idea sounded, but something told him this wasn't a joke, and that scared him more than anything else.
