Pokémon: Infinite Fusion is a fangame created by a developer named "Schrroms" and featuring the talents of a large amount of spriters and volunteers, based on a modified ROM of Pokémon: FireRed. The main draw/gimmick of Infinite Fusion can be seen right in the above screenshot, featuring the horrifying trespass of God that is "having combined a Persian and a Cubone together." Any two Pokémon you capture can be combined together using a brand new item known as the DNA Splicer, creating a new Pocket Monster with combined stats and movesets. In addition, more Pokémon than just Gen 1 (Red and Blue) or Gen 3 (Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, and LeafGreen) can be obtained: my casual playthrough has a Sylveon. Well, a Sylveon crossed with a Monferno to create Moneon.

But this is no casual playthrough, fellows. Not only is this a Nuzlocke, and not only is this actually my first attempt at a Nuzlocke...ever! But most importantly of all:

It's a Ranlocke.

Nuzlockes are already hard enough. The rules are simple enough, even if they make these Children's RPGs into nightmares: you can only catch the first Pokémon you run into per route, it dies if it runs out of HP and must be permanently boxed or released, and if you black out by losing all Pokémon, you have to restart. And as said before, I've never done one, so already you would expect added challenge. But the kicker is that this Nuzlocke is randomized. Not fully, but Starters, Wild Pokémon, Gift Pokémon, and the Types and Teams of Gym Trainers are all shuffled around. We could find Arceus at the very start or in a bush, or we could track down one of the Legendary Birds only for it to be a Dunsparce.

If the idea of a Nuzlocke noob diving headfirst into Hell sounds appealing, come join in!
We need:
Our Player Character's Name
Our Player Character's Gender
And Our Rival's Name

Comply with Forum Rules, but otherwise, you can call the Rival Headass or whatever. It's going to be impossible to take the game seriously now anyway, XD

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Roll to Dodge Emperor Palpatine (IC Thread)
« on: September 19, 2023, 09:28:53 am »
Inspired by games like Roll to Dodge Princess Celestia and Los Cazadores...

A blinding flash, a brilliant light, and then you arrive in a galaxy far, far away. The tyrannical Galactic Empire, headed by former Republic Chancellor and Sith Lord Sheev Palpatine, controls the known universe with an iron fist. Enforced by his army of Imperial Stormtroopers, the hunters of the mystic known as the Inquisitors, and his black right hand known only as "Darth Vader," the traitorous Darth Sidious has attained unlimited power, backed by a universal "Force", an energy that binds all life together.

You have arrived here, or perhaps have lived here for some time, with one goal in mind. Free the Galaxy. On your journey, you will face not just the Empire, but random encounters across the multiverse, your personal demons, and even yourselves. Between bouts, you may relax and strategize, but your goal shall remain the same.

Palpatine and Darth Vader must be removed, killed, erased, or impeached. Tyranny cannot survive in this blackest sea.

That description makes it sound a lot more serious than I'm sure it will be. Welcome to yet another RPG by me! In this game, you will be playing as a set of characters from across established franchises, and fighting and roleplaying across the Star Wars galaxy in an attempt to defeat the entire Galactic Empire!

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Anarchy Adventure: The Imaginative RPG!
« on: October 29, 2022, 02:52:11 pm »
Step into a world of imagination, where people can be anything, fight anywhere, and work towards any goal.

Welcome to Anarchy Adventure! Also known as "an RPG Take on Wiki-Warfare", also known as "Bay12: Legion", which was also known as "Chaos Chronicles", etc, etc.

Going to be trying this idea just one more time, and here's what that idea is: imagine an RP or an RPG, but your characters are randomly pulled together by online articles, random generators, and character fragments submitted communally, all with the goal of giving you a truly wonderful experience you could never have predicted. Rather than using your Avatar or giving you a Character Sheet, this game will be determined by the luck of the draw.

So! If you are interested, here's how characters will be laid out:

Spoiler: Story (click to show/hide)

Firstly, Wiki-Warfare: Virtual Mortality 1.1 is not dead! I know I haven't updated it in a while, and I'm sorry, but I'm getting to it! Right now, I felt it best to start a second one! See, I've always wanted to run two games at once. One being a Wiki-Warfare and another being a more unique idea.

But to be honest, Wiki-Warfare is just more gripping to me. It's fun to spin the roulette wheel, it's fun to see how others respond to what luck or misfortune is granted, and it's fun to see if that luck holds up or if the bad luck proves fruitful in the end with just a little cleverness! So, I thought to myself "Hey, Barry, if you're going to burn yourself out again, why not do it with two of a game idea you love instead of one you love and one you just kinda like, but might be impractical as an actual game?"

So...here we are!

As you can see in the story, the "flavor" of the storyline is a bit different. Don't worry, technology and shit's still gonna be available! This is not limited to just Norse Mythology-era Wikis. Mostly because that's a lot of good articles skipped over. It's just the actual story that's different. If you want a game with more contemporary/sci-fi themes, I still have VM 1.1 to join! :)

So! Rules:
Spoiler: Rules (click to show/hide)
And of course, we also have multiple game modes, determined by a d8 before every match! Thanks again to Failbird105 for the idea for some of these, :p

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Bay12: Legion (Interest Check)
« on: June 14, 2021, 09:33:34 am »
With the advent of video game titles like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Watch Dogs: Legion, a pattern is beginning to emerge: enriching, long-form narratives built from characters, whether allied or adversarial, who are randomly generated. And this reminds me of a forum game, long ago...the Zenith Concert.

Resurrected by me multiple times under Chaos Chronicles, the game tried to capture that magic under the umbrella of a Forum Game. But the generated characters were built from too many moving parts, parts that were formatted by so many different people under so many different rules sets and using stats that may have ceased to be between revisions. It was ambitious, but complex, and every attempt after tried to build on top of this foundation instead of fixing the problems raised by previous versions.

It's time for a hard reset.

Bay12: Legion is a revitalization of the "Randomized Character RPG" concept that aims to correct the issues caused by Chaos Chronicles, which in turn was itself a resurrection of Zenith Concert.

The game rules will be similar to that of, say, Wiki-Warfare if it were a longform RP: combat is not dictated by Hit Points, but rather by detailed subsystem damage. Your rolled up stats will instead provide very simple bonuses of +2 to certain actions. For example, having the Positive Trait of being good at public speaking will provide a +2 to Social Interactions. Or debuffs of a similar level.

I will not be using the old list of stuff. I would rather have everything centered and easy to punch in to the randomizer(s). You may all still submit Fragments if you want, but they will be part of a new batch of stuff I will be adding a lot into as well.

Here is how characters will be laid out:
Spoiler: Character Layout (click to show/hide)

Finally, one more thing. As you can tell from the title, this game is drawing inspiration from Watch Dogs: Legion. I already have a plotline in mind, the plotline isn't what I'm referring to. I mean, your characters are not the only ones being randomly generated. There is a breathing world of nutters out there, friend and foe. Your Associates matter and they have their own Associates. And...there will be more characters then there will be players at the beginning.

The player count will be six, so let's say a full six of you join. I will roll up two characters per player, and the one you do not pick will be an NPC in the world. And if your character dies, you go into the Waitlist, and come back later as a brand new character.

So...if all of that sounds fun? Let us begin.

Destroy the Godmodder! I did one of these, didn't finish it, I sucked at running all (*checks*) twelve games I had back then, but here's another!

The goal is simple: there is a Godmodder. He is capable of dodging anything, summoning minions, and curbstomping folks. Stopping him requires a super creative solution, and after that solution strikes him (usually for only One Hit Point), he will adapt to it. You have to take him down.

You are a User. You can Summon Weapons, Items, Vehicles, Allies, and whatever else you may choose. You can Charge Summons and Attacks to make them stronger or give them unique bonuses. But again, you have the singular goal of stopping the Godmodder. But be wary. Summons and even Users can be on either side, and there's no telling what kinds of viruses, glitches, and pop cultural factions will try to Destroy both sides...

With that out of the way, welcome to Cyberspace.

"I am become Death, destroyer of worlds."

Mad Libs X is a name that's turned up time and again, over and over, on this forum. It was once Supernerd's Zenith Concert, then it was my Chaos Chronicles (twice), and now, it has shed it's RPG moniker for a new name: Domination and Disarray, a mad libs deathmatch.

The rules are simple: like Wiki-Warfare, everyone will get a randomly generated sheet they can not re-roll, with power balances coming from careful play, roleplaying, and usage of whatever weapons, items, powers, stat bonuses, and allies you acquire from them. Unlike Wiki-Warfare, however, you do not get five random articles. Instead, you have a very in-depth series of categories, ranging from your character's name, to their race, to their age, to their sexuality, to their powers, weapons, allies, etc.

However, what is in each category is not up to me, it's up to you. For each Fragment, you can submit many of each. You, Forum Goer X, may have Forum Goer Y's submitted Species, but Forum Goer Z's submitted Theme Music, and so forth. I'll list the Fragments at the end, they are the same as in Chaos Chronicles, but I can change or remove some if it complicates the game or becomes unnecessary. Here are the rules:

So, this is back.

While Abyss of Traditions is on indefinite (though temporary!) hiatus, I thought it'd be nice to run a game parallel to Wiki-Warfare: Virtual Mortality v1.1, and in keeping with the theme of revitalizing old ideas, memory lane punched me in the face and reminded me that Chaos Chronicles existed.

The rules of these Chronicles is simple: characters are randomly generated with each piece of them divided into fragments that are then reassembled. As an example, Forum Goer X could submit a name, while Forum Goer Y submits a race, then Forum Goer Z submits the weaponry they use, but all of that goes to Forum Goer A's character. The fun is getting a completely unexpected character and doing wonderful things with them. Of course, you are allowed to re-roll the aspects you don't like. Say you got your character is a Race: Vampire, but you don't want to burn up in the sun. You can indeed re-roll this into another species. That species may be Race: Werewolf, but it's there. You have a limited number of re-rolls, use it well. What should make this game fresh is that I'm changing things around to make it more accessible.

Spoiler: Changes (click to show/hide)

If this interests you, then join in! In addition to playing, you can also send in fragments via PM, wanna make that clear, to the massive pool of them I still have left over from the first game. Once enough players join in, I'll shove all the ideas I have for plots in the same randomizer and come up with a good story that adjusts to all the different things people have. Enjoy. :D

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Abyss of Traditions: The Holiday Demons
« on: November 08, 2018, 07:48:35 am »
DISCLAIMER: This game is a mega-crossover RPG based on a silly YouTube edit. It's for fun no matter how much gore and nightmare fuel I put in it. While the tone is more serious, it is not straight-faced and you are encouraged to have levity and enjoyment as the forefront. Thank you.

And make sure to the watch the original video:

Yep. I'm finally doing another RPG. And I will at least get this one off the ground. So, welcome back! This game is inspired by my old Sadistic Holiday Demon game, but with a few quality of life changes. I will go down all that is necessary.

And now that the rules are done, here are the changes from the last RPG. For one thing, you are no longer restricted to characters and universes. Create OCs or pick any established character, real or fictional, to play as!

And as one final thing: a Holiday-Universe Roadmap!

The return is upon us.

Welcome! My funk and boredom has ended, so I'm back to my comfort zone: Wiki-Warfare! This takes from the failed original version, but it's been fixed up. It's not a reboot or a massive overhaul, mind you. As the title suggests, it's more a patch than anything else. I will send invites out to every past competitor from the first version, but new people are welcome to join in at any time. So, that being said, let's get into game modes and mechanics.

After checking those both out, I welcome you to my newest attempt at an RPG after The Zodiac Chronicles: The Sadistic Holiday Demon. Basically, to put it abridged, a villain from a story-based YouTube Poop went dark, edgy, and serious, and decided to try again in the actual Multiverse. As you may have gathered, this game is themed around Holidays. There are Ten in total (including Christmas and other Holidays, or at least ones celebrated in America), and while four Universes are unlocked right at the start (with more characters per franchise being unlocked later), there are fourteen in total. One franchise will be unlocked for each holiday saved (save for Thanksgiving because I miscounted, there are two there). If you want a spoiler'd look at which franchises and which holidays are included, here you go:

And now for some indepth rules:

The next post will feature the starting Character Sheets, don't worry. You can Suggest a Holiday and Franchise to be used (like, for example, Canada Day which will unlock Steven Universe if completed), so long as it can slip between the other preset holidays and I approve it.

Spoiler: Main Storyline (click to show/hide)

Kept you waiting, huh?

After my semi-retirement from Forum Games, Wiki-Warfare: Cataclysm has ended. But from it's ashes, I return with an idea roseheart granted to me themselves: a virtualized Wiki-Warfare game. Well, it's close to their idea, at the least. So, here we are. So, what's different?

The Avatar System. Your first two articles no longer adjust your sex and nationality. Now, the first article governs your in-game Avatar, including Name, Species, Gender, Nationality, as well as the normal set of Assets, Abilities, and Allies. To accommodate for this, sub-wikis are being changed. Rather than just the last wiki-links of your sheet being from non-Wikipedia Wikias, now a custom d5 determines how many of your articles are from sub-wikis, while a coin flip determines if they're the first wikis or the last ones to show up. This system should encourage roleplaying and in-character decisions while also providing fun new ways to kill your enemies. For instance, if your Avatar is Freddy Krueger, you could invade dreams, and if your character is Darth Vader, you can use the Force.

The Wishes system is also changed. While the winner of each Chapter does still get a wish of basically whatever they want, the wish must be approved by the Monarch AI, E.D.U. Meaning no tricks involving Porunga this time around.

Otherwise, the four modes are also different. Always determined by a d4, they are:

1. Deathmatch: A standard, one life, no waitlisters kill 'em all.

2. Team Deathmatch: One life, 5v5. Use your actions in the Open, or Spoil them to concoct secret plans.

3. Assassination: A competitive gamemode where you are tasked with being the first person to kill either a Boss or a Target. Respawns and Waitlisters allowed.

4. Classic: First to 10 kills wins. Respawns and Waitlisters Allowed.

Players: 10/10:
Failbird105, HugeNerdAndProudOfIt, Hotfire90, The_Two_Eternities, DolosusDoleus, Rockeater, FallacyofUrist, roseheart, Detoxicated, Hiddenleafguy

NRDL, TamerVirus, ManOfPaper, 0cra_troper, King Zultan, Person, piratejoe, Leodanny

This thread, as recommended as to it's creation by roseheart, is designed to serve as a hub towards different games within the emerging genre of Wiki-Wars games.

Now, as I'm only one person, I need to know which games are which at any one time. So if you see a game pop up, bring it to my attention, and I'll put it in the OP.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Destroy the Godmodder: Bay12's G942 Edition
« on: February 20, 2018, 05:57:50 am »
Why are there so many editions of this on here?

*Ahem*, I mean, Welcome! This will be yet another DtG game on here, except I'm GMing it. So, expect more randomness and brutality. Likely at the same time.

Anyway, like any good DtG game, we have a couple of things to note:

1. The Godmodder godmods. Shocker! Your attacks will not work most of the time unless they are creative or zany enough. If they do? Expect a single Hit Point of damage, 2 at a crit. The Godmodder also Adapts like he's a Borg or something, and will not be hit by the same thing twice...except for, apparently, having spaceships dropped on him, but I'm putting a kibosh on that happening more than once.

2. You can charge your posts! Yes, by doing x/y (i.e 1/20) within your turn, you can charge up an Attack or Summon to make it more powerful! Within a turn, you can attack and charge, or charge up to two different things. You may also place extra Charge Points in someone else's Charge.

3. You do not have to request to enter. Just jump in.

4. Roleplaying, while not necessary, is encouraged. If you feel like playing as a fictionalized version of yourself within the universe, do so! Makes it more interesting.

I don't know what else to type, so if anyone cares: Story!

Bay12. Within the confines of Cyberspace, this quiet little forum and gaming website has been transformed into a thriving, though no less sparse, port town. The water moves through the current with no obstruction, and the modern housing provides comfort and warmth to it's citizens. It's all so peaceful.

Then, however, a fearsome vessel emerges from the docks. It's wood is dark, it's lanterns burning red, and the sails black. The flag on top, the ship's Jolly Roger, depicts a regal gold "GMU" logo against a royal purple backdrop. The vessel lays anchor at the shore, and it's captain leaps over the side onto the wood dock. He looks nondescript, his only real defining trait being that same logo pressed as a badge against his shirt. As soon as he arrives on the more stable ground, however, he raises his hand and snaps his fingers. In a flash, the ship and the dock behind him explode, wood splintering everywhere as a loud bang sounds throughout The Bay.

"Attention!" he demands, "I have heard of this place. It's many powerful "Users" who dare walk among it. But what you haven't realized is, across the waters, an army rose, more powerful than titans. And I crushed them! So, Bay12! BRING IT ON!"
