The sky turns to a pinkish hue as dusk arrives.
A loud electric crack fills the air as the mass of energy from the reaper's laser condenses, building mass for a final explosion. The Tatarstians on the roof take note, and ditch their current positions.
Behind them the dropship drops two tanks, and a few heavy power suits. Surprisingly the inhabitants of the suits aren't human, or even with a corporeal form. Instead, they're inhabited by the direct consciousness of one of the alien races that's part of the Confederacy. One of the men inhabiting the APC jumps from the top to down below, motioning to the fairies and pirates that they'll easily be able to move the howitzer for them. Above, the gunship descends and fires an ATGM at the reapers.
The squad leader of the Tatarstians in the apartment block yells for the rest of his squad to move on with him, and to assault the next building with their armored support.

Edit: This may take a bit. You should all probably brew up some coffee or tea or something.
Edit edit: Also I noticed this, but the map is getting progressively darker. A long time ago we learned that if you copy and paste the image it does this for whatever reason. So don't do that.

The reaper's anti-air fire misses the dropship, the guns not being aligned correctly for its rapid descent. Above, its escorting gunship slows down to line up a shot with an anti-tank missile, and also fires its autocannon.
The upper floor of the apartment crumbles under the energy of the reaper's shot, the raw energy igniting everything flammable inside and charring what isn't. The Tatarstians on the roof fail to take notice with the noise of their heavy machinegun save their recoilless rifle gunner, who is not stuck with indecision as to what he should do. In front, the dead body of the anti-air vehicle's commander slumps back into the turret. Its gunner fires a missile at the largest blip on their radar, though he's not entirely sure what he's firing at.
The crew commander of the APC responds to the Japanese of the pirates. He fortunately comes from a larger planet than most, and while he can't fully understand the language some of it is familiar thanks to some of the nearby enclaves of his homeworld. He shouts of a response, and lowers the machinegun.
"Mi smo Tatarstanka!"
The light tank fires its main gun, the HEAT shell peppering the room it hits with shrapnel.

I should mention that I didn't know how big you wanted your explosion, KillerHP, so I just kind of made it so it'd have room to get bigger or something. I kind of assumed it'd end up vaporizing the entire top floor or something.

The laser bores through the Tatarstian's face, and blows off the mast of the anti-air vehicle. Inside the building it leaves a charred path, catching much of the furniture on fire, and melting a metal door in half.
On the roof the Tatarstians look in the direction it came from, wondering how they could have possibly not noticed the giant robots. They fire back, though they'll likely not do anything with their small arms. The Tatarstians in the armored personnel carrier call back, confused. They don't speak German or English.
Above a dropship descends, followed by an escorting VTOL.

Back in the day during large sandboxes we had this thing where we just killed people who didn't make turns. Usually makes them respond a bit quicker. :^)
The driver of the anti-air vehicle asks the intruder on his turret if he has any friends around, though it's likely he won't understand a word of it since it's in an entirely foreign language. On the roof another Tatarstian peers over the edge, rifle ready. Down below the APC's commander sights a machinegun on the odd metallic armor standing in the doorway.
The Tatarstian in the apartment block stands in a daze, understanding the motives of the creature in front of him. He's unable to respond adequately to his superior below him, though, who's wondering why he's suddenly taken to standing around in the middle of a firefight.
The light tank moves forward, as rounds from the Tatarstians plink off the adjacent building and kill one of the guardsmen.
